Dad has been a resident for more than 6 years now and has never been happier. The staff are always so friendly, welcoming and supportive. I can't thank them enough for all the hard work and effort that they put in. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they will always try to go above and beyond. It would be very hard to pick out a particular moment or person to praise, as they are all so good. I am, however, very grateful for the opportunity being given to my dad to attend his grandson's wedding, which he is thrilled about.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. It means a great deal to us to know that your dad has been so happy with us over the past six years. We are proud to have such a dedicated team who genuinely cares about our residents and their families, and...
The advice and support I have had from the staff at Ambleside has been amazing. They made the transition for my mum to becoming a resident much easier. I have lots of useful advice and regular updates as to how my mum is getting on with either chats or updates on the app.
We know that moving into...
The facilities are superb.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They make a point of getting to know the residents and make them feel at home. There are lots of activities to participate in and social interactions and friendships are actively encouraged. Ambleside is clean, light and sunny, very well maintained with a lovely garden and outdoor area. My mum is very happy and I am confident that she is being well cared for and given plenty of opportunities to enjoy life. The staff have been incredibly supportive of me as well as mum during the transition into her next chapter.
We are delighted to hear that your mum has settled so well into life at Ambleside and that she feels happy, supported, and at home. Our team is passionate about building meaningful relationships with residents and creating a welcoming...
My sister after 25 years of living in France wanted to return to the UK. She was terminally ill and needed palliative care.
The moment we walked in we knew we had found the ideal home for her. She loved the room and having a garden to look at gave her great joy.
The staff were so attentive and she was so happy for her last few weeks.
One of the highlights was the family Easter egg hunt watching her great nephews and nieces enjoy the garden.
I would recommend Ambleside to anyone. Thank you to the whole team.
Your sister was an absolute Ray of sunshine and it has been a privilege to have her as part of our Ambleside family. You are more than welcome here anytime thank you for your kind words I will make sure these are passed onto the team.
I did not feel the management cared at all. My wife has alzheimer's dementia she allegedly pushed another resident over at 3 on morning. Where were the staff.
I was told about this and it was explained as one of those things.
I had a telephone call a week or so after and was told My wife had to leave. It was never suggested that we meet and discuss it.
I did try to make contact with the area manager who never returned my emails.
I feel not to have had any contact face to face is worrying.
I must also question where the members of staff were at that time this happened in the main corridor. This was never raised as an issue.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am deeply concerned to read about your experience, and I would like to sincerely apologise for the distress this situation has caused you and your wife. We fully recognise how important clear communication, transparency, and support are for...
The home is obviously well managed and organised, the rooms and corridors are spacious and comfortable.
But it is the staff that make Ambleside, they are simply wonderful. Caring, considerate and cheerful, despite what must sometimes beOnerous tasks they have to perform everyday.. Thank you all.
It has been a real pleasure having you here. We will think of you often at Beer o'clock! Please do come back and visit us soon you are more than welcome to use the Bistro anytime and if you would like to bring your lovely wife for Fish and Chips one Friday lunchtime please give us a call. See you very soon and thank you so much for your very kind words
She has had a change of room, now in a lovely newly decorated and all new furniture, the staff concern moved all her possessions, the family did not have to worry about anything.
Finally I would really recommend their coffee and cake station a lovely touch.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review, we are very happy that mum has settled in so well, your family are a fantastic addition to ours here at Ambleside. It has been a real pleasure to get to know you all. We will see you in the Bistro for coffee and cake very soon.
Ambleside have been brilliant at looking after my father, who has advanced dementia and Alzheimer's. Their staff are so kind and caring and treat him with dignity and understanding, which I am so grateful for. Due to unexpected circumstances, my Dad had to go into a care home very suddenly. The staff were incredible at smoothing this huge transition for him and speeding up the process rapidly for us. He now enjoys lots of activities and still gets to see his favourite dog whenever he visits the home. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a place for a loved one.
Thank you for your kind words, Dad has settled into Ambleside life very well and its not just him who enjoys to see his favorite dog we all love the visits too. We are so glad that you are happy with everything welcome to you all. See you very soon
His condition now needs professional people to look after him and give him a decent senior stage of life. The home, staff and services are all excellent.
We are so happy that the transition has been positive, he is really settling in well. Thank you for your kind words are we look forward to seeing you all soon.
Lovely staff and good environment. The care home is in good shape, clean and homely. The staff show a genuine interest in their patients and are professional. There are activites for the service users to engage with.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we are very grateful. The needs of our residents are first and foremost we take the time to listen and understand. We look forward to seeing you soon during your next visit. Take care and see you soon
My Sister came to Ambleside in May, having been transferred from another home. I cannot speak more highly of the care and attention she has received, having been diagnosed with dementia. The management is first class, as are the wonderful carers. All residents are treated with dignity and respect. The quality of the home is nothing short of superb, just like visiting a five star hotel. It is wonderful to see my Sister so relaxed and happy. God bless you all
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review and for your kind words. We are so happy that your sister has settled here so quickly, it was a pleasure walking in the garden with her yesterday and hearing about her life she spotted the tomato plants so we will be keeping an eye on those! Looking forward to seeing you and your family here in the home.
Our biggest concern was how or if she would settle to a completely different environment, however, our concerns were quickly erased, largely helped by the care and attention of the staff.
The surroundings and facilities are excellent at the home and the staff are professional and very approachable if we need to discuss anything.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are glad that mum has settled well. We are also very pleased that she makes the most of her time here. We will see you very soon take care and again thank you
He did enjoy the the respite period and the fact there were people around. He became a permanent resident from November.
The staff are very attentive and caring, the meals were good.
My dad's health declined quite rapidly and he became bed bound from January, 2025.
He died from heart failure in March, 2025.
We were impressed by the care and attention he recieved at Ambleside during his stay there, especially after hearing horror stories of other friends parents care experiences.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, your dad and your family were very much part of our family here at Ambleside Care Home. Please do come back for our events or if you are passing you are more than welcome to come for coffee and a chat. Take care and we hope to see you soon
We were very pleased with the care and experience given to my aunt. The staff are very kind and friendly and we were kept updated at all times. Ambleside is a modern, clean and bright care home with lovely gardens and outlook. Nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. You and your family are more than welcome here anytime. We very much look forward to seeing you again
Our mum has been suffering with Alzheimer's for some time and it became impossible to give her a decent quality of life and look after her safely at her home. We visited Ambleside on a number of occasions prior to mum's admission and she decided it was the right place to be for her. Mum has settled in well and we visit Ambleside most days. We find the staff to be very helpful and professional. The atmosphere is relaxed and everything is clean and tidy. Mum has as much freedom as she needs and is able to join in with as many activities as she wishes. It is and feels like a supportive community in a great setting. Thankyou
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. Your mum has settled really well and is already joining in most of the activities, it is always a pleasure to hear her play the piano and see her sat in the sunshine. Welcome to our Ambleside Family
My mother recently moved into Ambleside and we have been very impressed with the whole set up. The staff are friendly and very experienced, working hard to settle mum in. The activities are excellent and mum likes the food. The setting is beautiful and her room is very clean and attractive. During a recent illness, staff kept us informed of decisions about her care and coaxed her back onto her feet with patience and determination.
Thank you very much for taking time to leave this review. We are very lucky indeed to be situated in the beautiful countryside. We are so pleased that your mum has settled and has very much become part of our Ambleside family.
So pleased we managed to get my father into Ambleside. My experience has been nothing but marvellous. My father is cared for in a manner which even he comments on and in his state of mind this is praise indeed. Thank you for enabling his family to be relaxed and totally satisfied with his well-being.
During an uncertain start (because of my wife's specific issues) the staff always communicated any problems and asked for my approval if changes were needed. There is a visiting nurse who has been exceptionally supportive. So thank you to everyone there.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. We are over the moon with the progress which has been made. It has been down to the amazing communication and all of us including yourself working together to make sure we can provide an environment which is safe and allows her to live a fulfilling life. You are both a very welcome addition to our family here at Ambleside.
My father was staying at Ambleside, they looked after him so well. All the carers were so wonderful. He loved the music for dementia and all the great singers. Ambleside has also taken great care of my mum while she visited my father. They keep the home so clean, it is a lovely care home.
