Really friendly right from the start of just enquiring. Absolutely beautiful place. My mum is very well looked after, and she’s eating well, which was my main worry. Thank you, Beeches; I would highly recommend you to anyone.

I care for my mum on a 24/7 basis; she suffers from Alzheimer's and a few other health conditions. I and my husband haven’t had a break in three years. Finding The Beeches meant that we were able to take a holiday for two weeks, knowing my mum was receiving the best care. Having regular feedback from friends and family visiting her reassured us that my mum was safe, happy and well cared for. We would not hesitate to use The Beeches again and would like to thank all the amazing staff there for their care towards my mum and for being there for me also - 10/10.

After a spell in hospital, Mum required respite care until her home was sold and a suitable flat was purchased. The staff were understanding that her stay may be short and was happy to accept her on this basis. She has been very happy at The Beeches and is now ready to move back to independent living. The care has been excellent, and all staff are friendly, respectful, caring and kind. She has enjoyed the social activities and made lots of new friends. I am sure she will return as a visitor to continue the friendships made.

I know should a time come when Mum requires full-time care in a home, she and I will happily see her return to The Beeches.

The carers were wonderful. All were excellent, but several went the extra mile (it is a pity we cannot name them).
Activities were good - something to do.
Choice of food good.

Overall, well looked after.

My mum has dementia, and after years of caring for her at home and lots of soul searching, the time came for her to move to somewhere more able to look after her.
I looked at numerous care homes, but it wasn’t until I visited and spoke to the staff at The Beeches that I really felt comfortable. My mum loves being there; the care given and activities Mum takes part in throughout the week, I feel are secondary to none.

For the first time in years, I feel totally relaxed - time spent with Mum is quality time.

The family all feel we have made an excellent choice for Mum at Signature The Beeches. The apartment is excellent and pre-arrival advice helped us to select just the right furniture to bring along. Signature The Beeches has worked well with their architects to craft a homely but workable environment that is ideal for elders and their special needs, and we are happy to see Mum settled in such nice surroundings. The staff are uniformly professional and efficient without being unfriendly, and Mum's inevitable newcomer concerns have been dealt with in short order. Overall, just right.

My mum went to Beeches for respite care, and I was impressed with both the facilities and the staff were lovely. Mum has moderate dementia but was in residential due to her good mobility and participation. She was encouraged to participate in lots of activities. For her level of memory issues, I feel the place was a bit large to navigate, and I look forward to the possibility of an area for those with similar dementia needs being opened.

After suffering an aneurysm and stroke, my wife was left partially paralysed. She was eventually discharged from the hospital into the care of The Beeches for 5-months until I could bring her home. She received excellent nursing care, and I can’t praise them enough for looking after her. It is a very well run home. I would recommend The Beeches to anyone looking for short or long term care.

I have been so surprised by how friendly and helpful every member of staff has been, without exception. Originally my dad was only staying for a couple of weeks, but he likes it so much is asked to stay there for good. My dad said it's like staying in a 5-star hotel but with better service.

My mother can be a little difficult at times, and the staff has proven to be extremely caring and patient always. Both my husband and I feel we can rely on all the staff to ensure Mum has the best of everything in her twilight years. Whilst she is 99, she is not the oldest resident, and hopefully, with the continued care and attention she is receiving, will continue to maintain a comfortable and interesting life.

We are avid readers of the "Signature relatives" site, which keeps us up-to-date with Mum's care etc. Thank you to you all.

My father moved into The Beeches following a 3-week stay in hospital in Spring 2021. After a month of living in the home, he had improved markedly. The staff are kind and attentive, and my dad feels very well cared for. The "relatives gateway" is invaluable, as it enables us to see how he is doing day to day.

From the first enquiry to The Beeches about my dad, who has dementia, my experience has been more than I could ever have hoped for. Having never had to do anything like this before, I had no idea what was involved. However, from the first phone call, I found the support and guidance given to me by The Beeches invaluable. It can be a stressful and worrying time, but I knew I had help at the end of a phone, and no question was ever too much. My dad moved to The Beeches in January 2022, the care he has received has been exemplary. We are kept constantly up to date, and we know, without doubt, he is cared for with dignity and compassion. The staff are amazing, and you are always greeted by smiles.

Approached the Beeches December 2021 to look at the possibility of care for my father - Dad moved in the first week of January. From Initial enquiry to now, the staff at The Beeches have been outstanding. The care and compassion shown by all staff are amazing both with my dad and our family. Dad has dementia which is the first experience our immediate family have had with the disease. The staff have helped my family through very difficult times, and we would not be where we are today without their help, compassion and support - above and beyond anything we ever expected.

From the first telephone enquiry through to the present time, The Beeches and its staff have been amazing. Mum and Dad are settled and happy at last, and we know that they are getting the care and support that they need. We have easy access to everything that’s happening with them through the online portal and are always welcomed with a big smile when we visit. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone that works at the home. The whole vibe in the home is so relaxed and happy that you could easily believe you're in a 5-star hotel. I am so happy that we found The Beeches; it’s such an amazing environment for Mum and Dad to stay together and still receive all the care and support that they need.

We were looking to move Dad closer to Brentwood and so made enquiries about the facilities at The Beeches. The customer services manager could not have been more helpful. She was empathic and supportive in our discussions, she offered advice and guidance on our options and was not pushy, intrusive or imposing in any way. The facilities at The Beeches were outstanding, and the care and activities are just incredible. We eventually chose an alternative care home, purely due to geographic location, however, would highly recommend the Beeches as one of the best care homes we have seen in the Brentwood area. Our thanks to the customer service manager as we appreciated how helpful and generous she was with her time.

Signature The Beeches is an outstanding residential care/nursing home, providing high-quality accommodation which we were able to furnish in a way that suited my Mum and they helped her settle very quickly. Although Mum had had a number of respite stays there prior to moving in permanently, she ultimately needed more nursing care than I was able to provide and lived at The Beeches for a little over 4 years before her passing. She thought the world of all the staff who, without exception, are the most caring team I could have wished for to look after Mum, supporting not only her but in many ways us too. There is an online portal available which enables relatives (who are perhaps unable to visit as often as they'd like due to distance) to log in and see fairly detailed and real-time updates of how your relative is doing on a daily basis. I can't tell you how valuable this has been over the last 2 years when we were unable to visit in person. I could go on but space prohibits a longer review.

My father came for a 2-weeks respite and has decided to stay. The care and attention he receives are second to none. He flirts terribly and laughs with all the staff. I think my old dad's quality of life has improved hugely, and he's even putting weight on.

Also, there are so many activities he is involved in. He was so isolated in his own home, and now he is socialising and being stimulated and part of a community. All vital for a happy, contented life.

Jana KrapkovaJob Title:Dementia Care ManagerJoined: 2015
After finishing a Business Course in the Czech Republic, I started as a carer, looking after people with mental health problems.

When I moved to England, in 2007, I originally worked as a carer in a home near Watford. At the time, my manager offered me the position of Senior Carer/Training Co-Ordinator in Romford, so I relocated to Essex.

I was looking after young, physically disabled people. I found my passion for palliative care as we worked closely with St Francis Hospice.

Years later I was promoted to Home Based Trainer and provided mandatory training to all staff. I had the opportunity to travel around different homes in the area and study a course provided by Bradford University: “Person First, Dementia Second”. After that, I knew I had to go back into care.

I have been at The Beeches since October 2015. I started as a Lead Carer and have now worked my way up as a Dementia Care Manager. I love it here and really feel like I make a difference to our residents.

*We are proud to add that Jana won the Dementia Care Manager at The National Care Awards 2017

My passion is providing excellent service, making sure families and prospective residents are guided and supported from first contact throughout the process to move in and then for their continued stay.

The decision to move yourself or a loved one into care can be a bewildering, emotional and sometimes difficult one and it's my job to make that decision an informed and peaceful one for all involved.

I am privileged to work with a team who’s knowledge, experience, empathy and understanding is second to none.

I’ve worked in the care industry for 10 years and before that in Retail. I strive to provide our residents with the best service and a lovely clean environment. I look at our residents being an extended family to me and feel privileged to see them daily.

I’m proud to be part of a fantastic team here at The Beeches.
