Whenever I visit, there is always a friendly welcome and some great activities going on. I think it is brilliant that the care home take the residents out on so many varied trips and they always look happy. Staff are lovely and engaging with the residents and when I am there, there has always been drinks and snacks available.

I really like the personal touches, the individual doors, fresh flowers and great art up, created by residents. I think this a great environment to stimulate and engage residents living with dementia.

Very good care home with excellent, kind and thoughtful staff and management. They will actually listen to you talk to them or make a request on behalf of the resident. The staff go out of their way to make the resident cared for and important. The residents are treated like human beings with their wants and needs, likes and dislikes considered and listen to. The residents are treated with dignity. The staff provide numerous and varied activities including trips out in the care home's minibus.

Having spent many tiring hours looking for the best care I could find, I was pointed in the direction of The Whitebeach care home. I have to say that on first impressions, it was brilliant, light and bright. The staff are welcoming and to top it all there was no smell, something that my mother, bless her heart, always says she thinks about in these places. Anyway, I did not need to make an appointment, I made the call and just popped in, I was given the grand tour, not just the best bits. I met and chatted with other residents who all seemed to love it, very important in a home from home. It even has a day centre, so people are not just got up and sat somewhere in front of the TV. I have to say it ticked every box, it has a caravan so the people go on holiday only in the area but it's a breakaway and day trips virtually every day.

Such a dedicated team and my mother loves it. She is out and about more than me these days, just what I wanted for her retirement. My mother has Alzheimer's.

On visiting my mother-in-law while she was on respite, it was lovely to see so many staff on duty and being attentive to the residents and their visitors. The home was clean and smelt good, the food looked lovely and good portion sizes. My mother-in-law looked happy and said she liked it there, better than her previous respite home. She had a favourite member of staff, said she had slept well and was allowed to wake up when she wanted to. She was also in a bed, not a cot, which was not the case in the previous home. Staff were all smiley and friendly, offering refreshments to everyone while we were there. They had even put her favorite film on when she arrived. You could see that the home was dementia friendly by the decor and activities on the walls. Thank you for looking after her and giving my father-in-law peace of mind while he went away to rest.
