The move to Rubislaw has been very helpful for my mum - the level and quality of care is great. My one suggestion would be more frequent updates on my mum's condition. I live overseas and can only visit infrequently. Lovely, attentive and patient staff too.

Was in visiting my friend and received a very welcoming greeting from reception. The ladies on reception were very friendly and helpful. When I went to my friend's room the carers were very pleasant. The atmosphere within the home was so homely and friendly.

My mum was a resident at Rubislaw for nearly 9 years and throughout her stay I found the care she received to be first class. The recent period when mum declined prior to her passing showed to us the excellent care, dedication, professionalism, dignity and love shown to mum from everyone. We had such a high level of trust in the care and attention she was receiving. During my time spent with Mum over the other weekend we witnessed first hand the outstanding standard of care and support shown from nurses, carers, nightshift team, senior management and all support staff included. The increased numbers of nurses and care staff from when mum first came in has definitely improved the standard and quality of service from where it was. Overall I would have no hesitation in recommending Rubislaw Park to anyone.
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt review. We're truly grateful for the trust you placed in us throughout your mum's time at Rubislaw. Knowing that you felt supported and that our team provided care with dignity, compassion, and professionalism means so much. Your kind words will be shared with the whole team and are deeply appreciated. Kind regards
I come and visit and join in activities with Betty and other residents, the girls are wonderful with the residents.

Cannot speak more highly of the care home , staff and management of Rubislaw Park Care Home . As a friend of a family who has a resident staying there it has given me reassurance and peace of mind that the standard of care is second to none. Mum has been here for only 2 weeks but already is being very well looked after and is settling in very well too. Every single member of staff I have met have been very polite and happy to answer any questions we have had all in all a very pleasant experience.

I visit my friend every few weeks at her Care Home and I have to say, that every time I come around, all staff is always friendly and helpful. There is a lovely bar area that me and my friend often use. I have also joined to a few of the activities, found them very interesting. Everyone there seems to enjoy themselves.

We're delighted that you and your friend enjoy spending time in the bar area, and it's wonderful that you've joined in with some of the activities too. . Your kind words are greatly appreciated by the whole team. Kind regards
To start with girls in reception always welcoming and know you by name. Staff & carers very friendly. Sometimes carers not available when my husband requires toilet. I've requested my husband has 3 showers per week. Don't think this happens. Decoration of home is nice. The coffee bar, very well attended. My main view mainly satisfactory.
We're sorry to learn of your concerns regarding response times and personal care. We are always keen to address any...
My Mum was a resident at Rubislaw Park Care Home for the last 18 months of her life, following in the footsteps of my Dad who was a resident in 2023 for the last 6 months of his life. All the staff have always been very attentive to my parents needs and also very welcoming to us as a family. Thank you to Kayleigh for seamlessly taking over management of the home during the time that Mum was with you and for the management provided by Gayle before her. The facilities are excellent; the courtyards provide sheltered areas for the residents to be outside when the weather allows, the communal areas and bedrooms are well presented and functional, and there are lots of activities the residents can join in with when they are able. We are grateful for the support and care given first to Dad and then to Mum during their time at Rubislaw and will retain many fond memories from our visits. We couldn't have asked for more.
I will be sure to share your positive review with staff, your recognition means a great deal to all of us and we appreciate you taking the time to provide a review. Kind regards
I have nothing but praise for all staff in Rubislaw Park. Everyone is professional, caring and a credit to the home. My mother has had a chest and urine infection and every time her care and management was efficient and timely. I am always met with a smile and all staff are so friendly and helpful.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. I am glad to hear your mum has received such attentive care, and that our team has helped you feel supported and welcome. Your kind words mean a great deal to us all. kind regards

Usually we take Ann downstairs for coffee and cake. Lovely atmosphere. Staff obliging. The hairdresser Vicky keeps all the ladies looking lovely. Rose seems to lead some or most of activities very well.

Special thanks go to Joan, Sijo, Val, Ashleigh, Kayleigh, and Kay, Rosie who have all gone above and beyond in making sure Mum is comfortable, well looked after, and happy. Their kindness shines through in everything they do.
The home itself has a lovely, friendly atmosphere. There's always a great variety of activities available, and Mum enjoys having the choice to join in when she feels like it.
Rubislaw Park truly feels like a home, not just a care facility. It's reassuring to know that Mum is surrounded by people who genuinely care, and who make her days enjoyable and dignified! I would wholeheartedly recommend Rubislaw to anyone looking for a safe, welcoming environment for their loved one.
Thank you so much for your providing Rubislaw Park with such a heartfelt review. We're truly grateful for your kind words and delighted to know your mum feels so at home here at Rubislaw Park. It's incredibly rewarding to hear that our care and support bring you peace of mind, especially from...
My Dad moved into Rubislaw Park permanently this May, following some periods of respite care. I don't live locally but visit as often as I can and on every single visit I have been impressed by the staff across the home and their caring attitudes, positivity and patience. He has settled in well and seems content in his new environment. He recently celebrated his (92nd) birthday and it was so lovely seeing the staff make a fuss of him with a cake, card and gift. My elderly mother is able to visit him regularly and spend quality time with him instead of struggling to care for him at home and I feel very reassured that they are both in a much better position than a few months ago. Rubislaw is a very welcoming place and well maintained with lots of activities and things going on. Above all the staff are amazing and from what I have personally witnessed, provide very high standards of care and support.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Rubislaw Park. I'm pleased to hear how well your Dad has settled into his new home and that you've witnessed, time and again, the care and dedication of our staff. Providing comfort, support, and meaningful moments for our residents and their loved ones...
On our intial visit, we were impressed by the friendly staff, the facilities and the daily activities on offer. Since moving into Rubislaw Park, my sister's health has improved immensely. She has put on weight. Her walking has improved. She enjoys taking part in all the activities. The staff is always helpful and enthusiastic. My sister is always smiling. She is so happy in her new home. I can't praise the home enough. Highly recommend it.
Thank you for sharing your experience at Rubislaw Park. It's heart warming to hear how much your sister has benefited from the care, community, and activities available. Her improved health, happiness, and engagement are a true testament to the dedication of the staff. I will be delighted to share your positive feedback with the staff.
Being in Rubislaw Park has improved his safety & we are very satisfied - it is a great home & very well-managed.
The staff on the nursing unit are unfailingly polite and cheery. There is genuine care - they are discrete & professional always. It cannot be easy dealing with residents 24/7 & their relatives - patience is on show always! When short-staffed due to holidays/illness etc they all step up for each other - great team spirit.
Staff turnover has been far less than I would have expected.
The activities team do a wonderful job - their efforts are amazing keeping residents happy and occupied.
The communication from the LT team to relatives is strong - this gives a sense of the "family" aspect of the home.
The maintenance of rooms & common areas by the housekeeping/maintenance team is immaculate. The meals produced by the kitchen all day every day are good quality.
Many thanks for providing lovely feedback on the service and quality of care we provide at Rubislaw Park Care Home. I am delighted you have experienced the family spirit of our home, we are committed to ensuring that we are a community and involve all of our residents and families in...

Meet the Team (16)

Welcome to Rubislaw Park Care Home. My name is Kayleigh, and I am the Manager. Please contact me if you wish to have a viewing of the home or for any other questions. I have worked within the company since 2019 and have now progressed to Home Manager in 2025.

Kay joins us with a wealth of clinical experience and will be a fantastic asset to the team.

I became part of the team in 2025, and I’ve loved every moment since. My background is in front?of?house work, and I’ve always enjoyed roles where I can connect with people. Working in the care sector feels like a natural fit for me — it’s meaningful, rewarding, and no two days are the same. Moira has recently taken on the Non-Clinical Deputy role, and we are delighted to support her progress within the home.

Val joined the team in 2025 as a Team Lead and quickly demonstrated strong, consistent leadership. Her ability to guide others, make sound decisions, and drive progress has been evident from the start. Building on this success, she has now stepped into the Unit Lead role, where she will oversee the day-to-day running of the unit and continue to support the team.

Elizabeth MacGillivray joined Rubislaw Park in 2022 and brings over 40 years of experience to our Cults and Cove dementia unit. Her extensive expertise shines through in her role as she oversees medication administration, care plan reviews, and liaises with families, ensuring everyone is cared for to the highest standards.

Sarah Dewars joined the Rubislaw Park team in 2023 and quickly became an integral part of our nursing unit. With a professional demeanour and a compassionate bedside manner, Sarah is cherished by staff, residents, and families alike. She diligently oversees medication management, clinical duties, and essential documentation, ensuring meticulous care and attention to detail for every resident at Rubislaw Park.

Susan McLeod is one of our Sisters at Rubislaw Park, specializing in wound care and bloods. She is dedicated to ensuring everyone receives the highest standard of care. Susan fosters excellent relationships with staff and residents alike, making her a valuable addition to our nursing team.

Lynn is a great addition to our team at Rubislaw Park. Lynn is a qualified Dementia Friend and regularly works in both our Dee Don Nursing Unit, and Cults & Cove Dementia Unit.

Wilma brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team in our Ash Residential unit. Wilma recently won an award for Glad to Care Awareness week and is a great addition to the team.

With over 15 years of experience in dementia care, I lead the Cults and Cove unit with dedication and compassion. My focus is on fostering independence while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both residents and staff. Additionally, I am trained in medication administration to ensure the highest level of care.

Rosie has over 8 years’ experience in activities coordinator roles and loves interacting with residents to finding out how they enjoy spending their time and what they like to do. She always has some entertainment planned to keep the residents happy!

Artur is our Head chef. He comes with a wealth of experience in providing the very best homemade, nutritious meals for our residents.

Dave joined the team in 2024. He ensures all building operations run smoothly, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.

I joined in September 2024 after moving back to Aberdeen from New York with my family. I worked as secretary for over 10 years and have a vast experience of administration. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with residents and their families.

I joined the Admin team in 2023. I come with a vast experience in admin and thoroughly enjoy working within the care sector
