I came to see my granny on Boxing Day. She was in good spirits and was finishing her egg and chips. The staff are always friendly and offer me tea and food. The place is always spotless.
A beautiful home with excellent facilities but more importantly, the staff couldn't be more caring, attentive and professional. A safe and happy place for Mum.

It is a lovely and loving environment. Friendly and caring staff. Extremely clean. Food is exceptionally good. Activities are wide and varied. Ma-in-law is very happy here.

Broadlands Lodge Care Home treats the residents as individuals and takes time to find out about them as unique special people. My mother has been helped and supported to eat and gain weight (that she had lost prior to coming to Broadlands) she absolutely loves the food. They have encouraged her with her mobility, she is, as a result much more independent now than when she arrived. The care home is clean and welcoming. The staff are kind, caring and professional. The facilities are very good.
Thank you for your great review. We are so pleased Mum is happy and settled and is particularly enjoying the food cooked by our wonderful chefs. We will ensure your feedback is shared with the whole team. Thank you.
My dad has been a resident since January 2023. The care he receives is first class. He is treated with dignity and compassion by all care staff. Under the guidance of an exceptional management team who continually demonstrates efficiency and expertise, ensuring Dad's medical and general care needs are met. Just brilliant!
Thank you for your wonderful review. We are so pleased Dad has settled in so well. Our team all focus on a person-centred care approach, and your feedback confirms the fantastic work they all do. We will ensure your feedback is shared with the whole team at Broadlands Lodge. Thank you.
From the moment myself and my brother entered Broadlands Lodge, we have been totally amazed and blown away with the place, staff, food and the dignity and respect shown to our mother. She entered Broadlands Lodge on Monday, October 30th for 4 weeks respite. I took my mum to the hairdresser on Friday the 3rd of November and on the way back in the car Mum said, "Well what's happening Nigel," I replied, "That's up to you Mum." Her reply was, "Well, I want to stay here, I am not going home." For my mother to make that decision in 5 days says it all. Thank you.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback regarding the care Mum is receiving at Broadlands Lodge, we are so pleased to hear in such a short time Mum has made the decision to stay permanently. We will ensure your kind words are shared with the whole team at Broadlands Lodge. Thank you.
Entrusting her to the wonderful staff here has been one of the best decisions we have made.

We wanted to express our thanks and gratitude for looking after our dad whilst Mum was able to get some respite. He was tricky and there were several hurdles but amazingly you all remained professional, unfazed and dealt promptly with it all. Thank you for giving Mum some breathing space, and for looking after Dad whilst he was in your care. We appreciate the one-to-one attention had, when needed and will always be grateful for the unwatered support. Thank you again.
Thank you for your kind words regarding the care your dad received at Broadlands Lodge Care Home. Our staff always focus on a person-centred care approach, and it is lovely to receive such wonderful feedback. We were so pleased we were able to give Mum a break and let her have some time to rest. Very welcoming. All staff extremely pleasant and fun. All proceedings efficient. The home itself is as new - likened to a five-star hotel. Lots of facilities and able to make teas/coffees. Keeping residents as independent as possible, which is good.

Dad initially came into Broadlands Lodge for respite care, but we soon realised as a family we were no longer able to give Dad the care he required. Dad has been treated with such kindness, respect and humour by all the staff and has settled in well. The home is beautiful, all the staff are very welcoming to the family.

This is a new home and my appointor moved in December 2022. So far the experience has been top quality. Caring staff, beautiful facilities and quality food.

What a superb place down to the decor, cleanliness and great warming meeting you get every time we arrive to visit from hot drinks to home baked cakes/biscuits. It's so lovely to see Grandad being looked after with such 5 star treatment, in his words (my whole life has changed for the better)!
We can't thank all the amazing staff enough. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review, it is so heartwarming to know your loved ones whole life has changed for the better. We hope you continue to enjoy the hot drinks, cakes and biscuits when you visit. We look forward to passing your review onto the team.
Superior care and attention, kind friendly staff, whom look after their visitors nearly as well as their residents. A beautiful purpose built establishment, catering for all needs. Feeling so very fortunate that we found this for our elderly father.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, it's lovely to hear. We look forward to passing this on to our team.
I just cannot praise the kindness, consideration and professionalism throughout this care home. We only had a short time to find accommodation for our father due to emergency building work at his home. The transition was faultless and straightforward, welcoming him like a family member. At 95 it was daunting for him but was welcomed into a beautiful room with a full afternoon tea for all of us. He particularly enjoys the food and friendliness of every member of staff. All of whom stop to chat with us including the superb chef, the maintenance man and the laundry lady. Our dad is not an easy man to please but he truly does not want for a thing. We are also relieved that we no longer have to worry his comfort, his diet or his loneliness.
Thank you so much, for taking the time to write such a kind review. The team at Broadlands Lodge go above and beyond for all their residents and we are so pleased you have had a positive, home-from-home experience. We cannot wait to share this review with the team, especially catering, who will be delighted.
Mum-in-Law came into Broadlands Lodge, just a few days ago. At the time she was barely eating and looked dreadful, but already she's looking better. The staff are encouraging her to eat and drink and have taken note of her likes and dislikes. She's already had a manicure and pedicure, too, which is great! My husband and I are both impressed with the home (light, bright and better than some top hotels!), and the caring staff. I just wish this home existed, when my mum had to go into care.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are so pleased to hear Mum-in-Law is responding well to our lovely home-cooked meals and will ensure our team continue to provide options, she will enjoy. We hope she enjoyed the manicure and pedicure and enjoys the environment. We...
We as a family, have been delighted with the way Mum has been treated. The staff are so friendly, a genuine warmth. My mum is the second resident to enter this wonderful purpose-built facility, but it's the residents and staff who make it home and home it is.
Thank you for kindly taking the time to share your feedback; we really appreciate this. It is always lovely to receive a review which demonstrates how compassionate and caring our team are and that this has been recognised. We will enjoy sharing this feedback with our incredible staff team. We are...

Meet the Team (1)

What I’m most proud of in my role is seeing residents feel safe, respected and genuinely at home.
I have over a decade of healthcare experience, and before my current role, I was a care manager. I also have a level five qualification in training and development.
I think that a successful home manager needs to be compassionate, approachable and organised. Strong leadership is essential, as is good communication skills. You never know what the day will bring, so it is important to stay calm under pressure and make fair, properly informed decisions.
I believe that the best care is provided by people who feel supported, valued and confident in their abilities. A big part of my role is to provide that support. The team here is fantastic and dedicated to providing person-centred care. I always try to lead with compassion and promote teamwork, while also ensuring we meet consistently high standards and deal with any concerns quickly and thoroughly.
My favourite part of the working day is spending time with residents. I value their time and hearing their stories. It is always a privilege to see them enjoy meaningful moments.
Over the last six years, I’ve published three books, which has been a real career highlight and an achievement I’m very proud of.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, staying active and exploring new places. I also like to take time to reflect, which helps me refresh and stay motivated.
