It was an extremely difficult decision to put my mum in a care home, but due to the rapid deterioration of her Alzheimer’s she needs 24-hour care. Of all the care homes we looked at, Castle Grange Care Home stood out above the rest and just felt right. It doesn’t feel like a care home, there's a lovely
atmosphere, the decor and rooms are beautiful, there’s a landscaped area to the rear and views over Scarborough from the front. There were a few teething problems initially but these were dealt with. The management and staff are polite, friendly and supportive, not only helping my mum settle in but helping me too. Mum says all the staff are wonderful and she really enjoys the food. Thank you.

Excellent friendly staff. Always clean and accommodating to all of my grandmother's needs. Lots of activities on offer, quizzes, movie days, and crafts. Plenty of parking out front and a lovely outdoor seating area and gardens.

I must thank the staff for the wonderful care they showed my dad before and at the stage of his end of life, to his death. They showed compassion toward him and myself as I sat with him on his last days. I would recommend anyone to stay if the need arises and would go in myself when the time comes.

I came here from hospital recovering from a fractured ankle to enable me to rest. I've been very happy here and got to know the staff and some residents. All the staff were excellent and very helpful. I've enjoyed some activities as well. This is a lovely home and if I needed long term care, I would
be happy to return, but I hope not to, as I enjoy my independence.

Care staff have been nothing but lovely but the management are very poor. Hanging up, lack of knowledge and a severe lack of communication is just the start. Numerous safeguarding concerns raised and ignored. Only left one review in my life but feel very strongly that the management at this home is
inadequate at best.

Our mum has been given the greatest of care throughout her stay. Being one of the original residents, we have seen the home grow and flourish. When I had to make the difficult decision regarding my dad going into a care home, I could not believe we had been offered Castle Grange as an option. His personal care and the facilities are above reproach. This plus the friendliness from staff and management ie nothing is too much trouble to them,
has helped me to come to terms with the decision.

The home is very friendly, homely and welcoming - the standard of the home is extremely high that helps those that live here be able to identify with the local area.
The staff make a point of getting to know not only the residents but the family members and friends. Whilst activities are published
I have not seen any evidence of these taking place, but I am not around all the time.
