Chawley Grove Care Home

I hope this helps anyone who is reading, rest assured the care within this home is outstanding from what I have seen. I look forward to returning to have a pint or two.

The home itself is like a 5-star hotel! The surroundings are fantastic, and you are free to use anything available. The staff are very caring and helpful. The thought of a home had been a concern, but my mother loved it. The beds are particularly comfortable.

I can see that my friend is finally very happy and has everything she needs to live out the rest of her life in comfort with people who really care.

Chawley Grove offered exactly what I needed for my father’s respite care; a home from home with excellent facilities where he was looked after by a caring and responsible team, so I knew he was perfectly safe and very comfortable.

Staff are perfect. The outlook and decoration are second to none. The care cannot be faulted. The bathroom facilities are to die for, the spa feature is absolutely amazing! The food is very good and tasteful. Everybody is very helpful and chatty. I will return in future for sure.

Really can’t sing the praises of this home, they really do care for everyone who steps foot into the premises.

Our mum looks ten times better than she did when she was in her own place; nice hairdos and manicures. She is relaxed and safe and we are comfortable knowing she is receiving the care she needs and deserves.

I would like to thank everyone at Chawley Grove for looking after my husband, making him feel welcome. He feels he is on holiday with beautiful well-served food, all staff happy and chatty. My husband stopped talking about Christmas-time 2018 and the day he came to Chawley Grove he spoke to everyone with a smile. It was as if he had come alive again after being so low for so long. Once again a very big thank you.

The care my father received was excellent. The staff made him feel at home and very safe. He could always ask for help at any time, it was given professionally and kindly. The setting for Chawley Grove is relaxing and quiet if needed. The food was also good and he was able to eat and drink whenever it suited him. The staff quickly got to know his preferred routine and his care was very much tailored for his needs. Staff were quickly responsive to any concerns, he felt very valued and part of a family.

I have only the highest of praise for Chawley Grove Care Home. My mother spent 2 weeks respite at Chawley Grove where she received first class care. The staff are friendly, welcoming and highly professional. The rooms and facilities are excellent. It has a beautiful relaxing garden and a number of lounges, coffee areas, dining room and even a mini cinema to relax in. In short it has every facility to ensure the residents and visitors alike, feel at home.

My mother is a resident at Chawley Grove for a period of respite care. I visited many care homes in the Oxford / Abingdon area before choosing Chawley Grove. When I first visited I was struck by the beautiful setting, furnishings and facilities. However, it is the professionalism and warmth of the homemakers and all the staff at Chawley Grove that has made my mother’s stay so happy. The attitude of staff is exemplary. I thoroughly recommend Chawley Grove to you.

Overall I'm very happy here and feel at home. I like the price and how everything is included in the price with no hidden extras. I liked the Homemaker role and that's what prompted me to come and stay. The food is very nice and flexible. The decor is modern and the furniture is nice. The staff are very nice and helpful. I feel I'm treated with dignity and respect and my view is listened to. I would recommend this home.

My husband has spent a week's respite at Chawley Grove and I cannot speak highly enough of it. The staff are all extremely friendly and competent and the concept of 'homemakers' is a revelation! The rooms, building and general surroundings are so clean and welcoming and the garden is wonderfully accessible. I have some experience of other homes and can honestly say there is no comparison. Hopefully, he will become a permanent resident very soon.

I visited four times while my client was on respite. Each visit lasted four hours. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, had lunch which was super. We visited the beauty salon where she had her hair done. She did painting classes which she loved, very impressed with everything. Well done.

My Mother spent 2 weeks respite care following the death of my father. She was extremely well looked after and was very happy there. The food, her room and facilities were excellent and the staff were very caring.

During the past month visiting on a regular basis, the staff are friendly, caring and have the welfare of the residents as priority. The bedrooms and communal areas are very attractive and homely and are kept clean. The food provided by the chef is first class and caters for all tastes. All in all, I have found Chawley Grove to be outstanding in all aspects and would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful care home.

My father moved into Chawley Grove a few weeks ago and I am extremely happy with his care. I thought choosing a school for the children was hard, but finding the right care home for my father was even harder. We visited Chawley Grove and immediately felt this would be the right place for him. His room is modern and comfortable, with attention to detail. We have been able to take in some of his own furniture for his new home. He receives excellent care and attention, day and night. It is a weight off my mind, knowing that he is safe 24/7. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is always well presented and of good quality, with plenty of choice. In the short time that he has been there, he has gained 5kg in weight. Previously he didn’t have much of an appetite and I’m sure it helps that the homemakers sit down and eat with the residents, and this is encouraging him to eat. I have no hesitation in recommending Chawley Grove and have already done so.
