Chesford Grange Care Home

All the staff I have met are lovely and friendly. My mum has been a lot happier since she has been here. Everywhere is clean and bright and welcoming.

Rooms and areas are always lovely and clean, staff are always friendly and accommodating to us, as a family, when visiting.

Overall good, I think things are going in the right direction. When Mum first came from another care home it seemed a bit quiet and not very cosy but think things are improving. Lovely surroundings.

Although we got off to an uncertain start (due to Mum's illness), the staff have been fabulous in doing their best to look after Mum. Additional support has been provided for her so we can rest assured that her needs are being met. She is safe and comfortable. The home itself is beautiful, very modern and luxurious. Activities are put on for those who are capable of enjoying them - residents are very well cared for. The food always looks and smells lovely, even though Mum, unfortunately, can't enjoy it - but tea/snacks are always available. Staff are lovely and friendly and Mum's room is like a posh hotel room! Very much appreciated - thanks so much.

Very impressed and pleased with the standard of care and nursing given to my dad at the Chesford Grange Care Home. Very caring nurses and caregivers that really have my dad's interests at heart. I feel that I am kept up to date in all things, from his appointment with the barber to the treatment given from the chiropodist.

My aunt moved into Chesford Grange Care Home in May 2022 after suffering a period of severe pain. The deputy manager and the staff have been very patient and caring and have done their utmost to keep her happy. With their care and attention, she is almost pain-free and is much more comfortable. It was difficult during the period of renovation and intake of new residents and my aunt became quite stressed but is much more settled now and the new manager is making positive changes. Staff are all very pleasant and helpful, special mention to one member of staff who my aunt loves as she often makes a fuss of her. I have witnessed the high standard of care given to the more poorly residents and am reassured that should my aunt become more infirm she will be well looked after. I believe there was a Halloween party today which I am sure they all enjoyed.

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration was very good. A lot of effort had been put into decorating the lounge and preparation of the food. Staff were very welcoming and friendly.

We had a lovely party for the Queen's Jubilee. It was very well planned. We had a great day. The food was great and the staff were very nice and helpful.

Overall, we have the utmost trust in Chesford Grange's staff and cannot recommend Chesford Grange enough!

Great entertainment and atmosphere.

Although Mum's condition means she is up and down, she always seems content. She is obviously well cared for - always looking clean and tidy. We are happy knowing she is safe and secure. The staff are wonderful, friendly and caring - nothing is too much trouble.

This is Mum's first experience of being in a care home. I was immediately put at ease after initial conversations with the manager and deputy manager. I've been really pleased with how Mum has settled in. All the staff are lovely and treat Mum with respect. Her room is lovely and the corridors are spacious. The Jubilee party and meeting the 'activity' staff have been great.

My father-in-law was admitted into Chesford Grange Care Home for end of life/palliative care. Although he thought he was going just for respite care. The care he has received in the two days he has been here so far has been good. The food he has loved and the bed he loves. All he wants to do is have comfort, dignity and smoke his pipe in his remaining days left.

My experience of my dad coming into Chesford Grange Care Home has been reassuring, everyone has been very kind and understanding when we made the difficult decision of bringing him into a care home. I would highly recommend Chesford Grange.

My dad stayed at Chesford Grange Care Home for four weeks of respite recently. Right from dad's arrival, the staff were friendly and welcoming and made dad feel really comfortable. Throughout dad's stay, they kept in contact with me, as I do not live locally. They were on hand to discuss any concerns or other information, which I needed. They also liaised with dad's GP and pharmacy to arrange more medication, which was a great help to the family. Overall, the staff have been absolutely wonderful in caring for dad and I simply cannot thank them enough.
