other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Our family were thrilled to find Chichester Grange as it's proved to be the best place for Aunt. Very caring staff from management to carers and laundry team. Has a warm, homely feel with a café for family and friends to enjoy a cuppa and snack with their loved ones. Would highly recommend.

Our friend and neighbour decided to move into The Grange after having a few falls at home and it was the best decision she had made (her words not ours). We, as neighbours, visit regularly and are always given a warm welcome and a friendly smile from all the staff members who also interact with us and
we can have a good chat over coffee and cake, which is available to both residents and visitors in beautiful and relaxing surroundings. Our neighbour has high praise for all the staff members, especially the chef who offers a variety of different meals so everyone is catered for. We often chat to other residents so it makes for a really lovely afternoon visit to listen to life stories. All in all, our neighbour is happy, her family are happy in the knowledge that she is in surroundings where her well-being is first and foremost.

Very happy with the care my father-in-law is receiving. He has improved his motor skills since moving to Chichester Grange and the staff are very caring and motivated to get him out of his room as often as possible. He enjoys his meals and clears his plates with ease. The grounds are exceptional and

My mum, who is in her nineties, has been a resident at Chichester Grange since December 2021. She enjoys living there and reminds me nearly every time I visit that she is very happy and lucky to be in such a good care home. Mum has many opportunities to take part in the activities which are there for
her to enjoy, with help from the staff members when needed. She has rekindled her love of embroidery and takes part in all the various crafts too. She appreciates the care and the encouragement from all of the staff, who are motivated towards making her happy and contented and wishes to thank the good people of Chichester Grange - she loves it there!

My husband had his third stay at the Chichester Grange Care Home for respite care and the standard of care and comfort are superb. My husband has dementia but was treated with respect, dignity and good humour. His room was clean and spacious. He said that the staff were so kind to him and I noticed
that the atmosphere in the Grange is happy and relaxed. Excellent management and all staff.

Chichester Grange Care Home is the epitome of what a good care and nursing home should be. With its excellent facilities and genuine, caring and professional team who go that extra mile to provide a very comfortable, clean, safe and supportive environment.
My father and I were relieved he was able
to move here after his time spent in another care home. From day one, he was made to feel special, with lovely carers who made sure my father's needs, comfort and dignity were always met.
With a dementia diagnosis, he was treated with respect and felt his views and requests were listened to, his safety was always at the forefront of his care at this home.
I was able to visit most days and always made welcome, we enjoyed cappuccinos in the cafe, time spent in the lovely, wheelchair-friendly gardens, we had lunches and I was able to join him with activities.
The nursing and management were very approachable would update me regularly on my father's care.
Thank you to a very special home.

I am very happy with the food here and the staff are excellent. My bedroom is comfortable. I take part in activities such as quizzes and exercises. I like to sit in the cafe downstairs, read the newspaper and watch the world go by. The facilities are good and I have settled in very well.

When you walk into Chichester Grange Care Home it is like walking into a hotel. But is that where you would really be looking for the best care for a loved one? For me, it was 100% about what happened beyond the entrance that mattered and that is why I would recommend Chichester Grange without reservation.
My father was there for eleven weeks and from day one he was treated with kindness, compassion, patience and thoughtfulness by all the wonderful staff. Whenever we visited, we were always greeted with smiles and listening ears. I knew I could always ask any questions, which I did, and also raise any concerns. The only concern I had was addressed immediately with a very positive outcome. There were no restrictions with visiting hours, indeed my son had a couple of full English breakfasts during the cricket test match so that he could watch it with my father, a very special opportunity for them both. At the end, not only was my father treated with so much respect and dignity, so was I. All our wishes were granted. Thank you.

Both my parents are at Chichester Grange Care Home and they are really happy. The facilities are fantastic and the staff are really attentive and have gone out of their way to make my parents feel welcome and settled in quickly. The whole place has a really great informal 'hotel' feel to it which my
mum loves. It's new so this comes with the upside of it being fresh but it also requires some patience as staff and systems are bedded in. But I can't rate it highly enough.

Absolutely amazing home. My mum has settled there really well. The staff are so lovely and friendly and very genuine. It has a really lovely feel to the place. Mum is so well looked after and always looks so well. We looked at various homes and this is by far the best and would definitely recommend.

I am impressed with the way the staff have helped my wife settle and have encouraged her to mix with other residents and take part in activities. I am confident she is in a much safer place now with trained staff available to help her when needed and in a comfortable, friendly and well equipped environment.
I found it very hard to make the change but after a couple of months am more than satisfied that it was in my wife's best interests and sadly mine as well.

Dad has been at Chichester Grange since April and has settled well. The environment is warm and the staff are efficient and caring. I feel that a weight has been taken off my shoulders knowing that he is safe and cared for in this extended family! Thank you.

Nikki Burke

Job Title: Home Manager

I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in Brighton in 1988, and I have been in the role of Home Manager since 2006, working for various care providers.


I worked for Care UK previously between 2012 and 2015.


When I was contacted to rejoin in 2018, I jumped at the chance to return to a provider that has a vision and values that align with my own.


As Home Manager, you need to be focused, dynamic and able to multitask but also have a vision and a sense of humour. It’s a bit like being an orchestra conductor – you need to be able to oversee different aspects of the home, whilst keeping the whole home working as one to make sweet music.


I love being part of this team, especially when we work as one. I feel proud every day knowing that we make a difference in residents’ lives.


Outside of work, I love spending time in the countryside and walking with my husband and our dog Pixie. The New Forest is my favourite place, and we often pop there for a day or an overnight trip.
