It was my mother's birthday yesterday and all the staff at Elmbrook Court Care Home went out of their way to make the day special. The chef produced a delicious three-course meal for a family lunch in the private dining room and the catering staff were, as always, so friendly and caring. There is a
wonderful family feel to Elmbrook and it was lovely to see other residents and staff come to join us for birthday cake later in the afternoon. Thank you all again for everything you do.

My 92-year-old father is staying here, he suffers from dementia. The atmosphere in the home is really nice and nothing seems too much trouble. He settled in very well and he is much calmer and engaged with us on our visits. The staff we have met are so lovely and take good care of him. The attention
to detail and effort they have made with him has been outstanding. They have taken the time to get to know him and his previous life. We have enjoyed lunch in the dining room and the meal was well-prepared and tasty. Feel very happy that he is there and reassured he is in safe, caring hands.

My mother came to Elmbrook for respite care over the Xmas period to be near to us and our family, and she loved it. She did not know what to expect, but after a couple of days, she had settled in well and was surprised at how much she enjoyed herself! She really benefited from all the interaction with
staff and residents, and the care and attention that my mother received was excellent and entirely professional. She felt very much at home and part of a wider family. Our communication with Elmbrook has also been very good, and the admissions process beforehand was very thorough and reassuring.
For the first time in a long while, my sister and I were confident that our mother was completely safe and cared for all hours of the day and night.

We visited several care homes in the area and Elmbrook really stood out. The staff and residents seemed happy and the atmosphere was good. My mother took a long time to settle, but now she has made friends with staff and residents and is much more upbeat. Elmbrook has supported both her and me through

My mum came into Elmbrook for three weeks of respite care after a serious illness, and the care, kindness and support she received from all the staff, regardless of their role within the home, was excellent; nothing was too much trouble. As Mum grew stronger, she ventured from her room and enjoyed some
meals in the dining room and a weekly trip to the hairdresser.
The process of assessment before Mum came in was quick and straightforward, so once the decision was made that Mum needed that level of care for a short period, she was admitted within days.
The staff were equally as caring towards me and my family and couldn't have been more helpful.
Thank you for caring so well for Mum and helping her on her road to recovery so she could return to her flat. Without your support and care, that process would have taken much longer without a doubt.

As a well-known quote states with the Deprivation of Liberty safeguard. A 'guilded cage is still a cage'. Elmbrook is a guilded cage. The residents need a minibus to get out to venues outside of Elmbrook - shops/nursery. So they don't feel imprisoned.

Mum moved to Elmbrook in December last year. Both her physical health and well-being improved within weeks of being there. The staff are professional, kind, caring, and fun. It's a joy to visit Mum at Elmbrook. She is happy, content, and very well looked after. The rapport she has with the staff is
lovely to see. Carers always make me feel very welcome (all staff do). Mum can choose to have a quiet morning or afternoon but is always encouraged to join in activities or coffee mornings with the other residents. The home has a good range of activities - choir, bell ringing, flower arranging, and arts and crafts. Mum also enjoys her weekly visit to the hairdresser. Mum enjoys the meals. They always look lovely and are enjoyed by all. What I am really pleased about (and so is Mum) is the friendships that she has made with the other residents. Mum has a happy and fulfilled life living at Elmbrook.

I have visited my friend regularly since Elmbrook opened. All staff have been helpful and caring at every visit. Recently a group of us enjoyed a delicious lunch in the private dining room. We were made very welcome and two of us were transported from our cars by wheelchair which made a huge difference.
We wanted to pay for our meal and that was easy, at reception with a card.

This is the most amazing place for elderly care. The food is amazing and well presented. The care staff are obviously professionals and know how to care for residents in their care. They have a knowledge of ailments and how to provide the best individual care to each person. The rooms and communal areas
are beyond doubt very clean and well maintained. This home is well run and provides excellent value for money.

My mother has been at Elmbrook Court Care Home for almost four months now on the memory floor. The staff have been excellent in trying to ensure she settled in well, particularly at the times she got very confused and anxious. Their patience and professionalism is very impressive.
It is reassuring
to all the family that she is in good hands.
The building and facilities are modern and spacious, with activities most days. The food is of the highest quality.

My father moved to Elmbrook Court Care Home, he settled very quickly. He said all the staff are very caring and help him with everything he needs. He especially enjoys the food and tells us about his favourite meals. He has a lovely room and we are always made welcome when we visit. The family are reassured

Mum was one of the first residents to move into the home when it opened in May 2021 and during the year she has received the utmost care and attention. The caring and good-natured staff have been great in anticipating and meeting her increasing personal care, dietary requirements and health needs. Moving
from a family home to a care home was a difficult but necessary decision and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have Elmbrook Court Care Home on our doorstep.

I am extremely proud to be the Registered Manager for Elmbrook Court. I have worked within the health and social care industry for over 20 years now, I started as a Care Assistant and quickly knew I was on the right career path.


With 8 years of management experience, I have previously been employed as an Assisted Living Manager, Deputy Manager, Area Manager and Registered manager where I managed multiple supported living sites. When not at work I enjoy a variety of activities, and can often be found enjoying some sort of sea or land-based adventure. Anything that keeps me feeling young at heart!

I have also worked in pharmacy, so have a great knowledge of medication. My passion is in leadership making a positive impact and leading my team ensuring the residents get the highest quality of care. When I am away from work I love spending time with my family and enjoy a great book!

I joined Elmbrook Court as a receptionist in July 2022. I was made very welcome and quickly felt I was part of a passionate and hard-working team. In May 2023, I had the opportunity to become the Client Relations Manager. Despite having yet to gain experience with this role within a care home setting, our General Manager, Rebecca, thought I was the right person for the job as my background is in sales and customer service. Having dealt with clients nationally and internationally over the years, I am definitely a people person! I am living proof that if you want to progress with Oakland Care – which they actively encourage – you can.
