The home itself is always clean and well maintained. The garden areas are also very well maintained and a lovely place to go for a walk or sit outside when the weather is good. Since being in the home my sister has taken part in various activities as well as several trips out too which she has enjoyed. I am very grateful to all the team at Eothen Wallsend for the care and ongoing support they provide.

My mum has been living at Eothen for a year and I can confidently say the home and staff are absolutely lovely. They make both me and my mum feel very welcome. I can't fault it. Thankyou for everything you do for us.

My wife has now been in this wonderful care home for 3 years. I visit every day if I can. I feel that the care home is extremely well managed. The premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard. Catering is also to an extremely high standard. Staff, in addition to being professional are caring and treat residents with respect and dignity, morning and afternoon entertainment for residents is varied and great fun.

Beautiful and well maintained gardens greet you upon arrival. The reception is clean and well presented together with a friendly welcome. Upon entering the home itself it always has a fresh smell and not unpleasant aromas. The lifts are also clean and fresh which is most pleasing. The rooms are well fitted out and have all the needs that you would expect to find in any comfortable living space. The bathroom and shower are cleaned daily and the litter bin is emptied daily too. The staff are friendly, loving and caring. They constantly supply drinks to everyone. The activity planning is excellent and is issued on a weekly basis covering a wide selection of activities to keep mind and body engaged. Overall, a very pleasant environment.

I can't praise Eothen Homes enough for the care and support they have not only given my mam, but to us as family, in what is a very emotive and difficult time. It is never easy to make the decision to move someone from their home into residential care, especially when they don't recognise they need that extra help and whilst we knew it was the right decision for her, it was hard for us as a family to watch her initially struggle with it all. From the first enquiry, through to my mam going in, the staff have been brilliant and they could not have been more supportive and caring if they tried. It is obvious they are experienced and genuinely care about the people and the service they provide; they recognise that one size does not fit all and as a family we can see the positive changes. My mam is eating again, looking more like her old self and it is down to how they have navigated the situation with encouragement, dignity, humour and care. I couldn't be happier with the choice we made

All staff are absolutely amazing. Thoughtful, caring and very attentive and attend to my dad's needs with dignity and compassion. The rooms are immaculate and secure, there are plenty of activities on offer and well-being exercises if my dad wishes to participate. The food on offer is top quality. Can not thank the staff and management enough for the care of my dad.

My mam moved into Eothen Homes on 20/03/25 - a day in my mind I will never forget. Without a doubt, this was emotional and upsetting - that said, the decision had to be made and the staff there supported this with compassion, understanding and real empathy. All of them deserve thanks and appreciation from me, my husband and my dad, as without them, I don't know how we would have moved on. They are all like friends now when we visit, and nothing is too much for them. Thank you!

It's impossible to describe just how amazing Wallsend Eothen Homes is. Everything from the home itself and its relaxed, homely environment to the most incredible caring staff. Everyone in this home, from the manager to the cleaners and chefs, knows the residents and cares about their well-being. After having a terrible experience before coming to this home, mum is so happy and settled - it's definitely become her second home. I can't recommend this home more highly!

I would not hesitate to recommend Eothen Wallsend to those who have family or friends with dementia. The staff are fantastic and cannot do enough for the residents. The environment doesn't feel in any way like a medical facility, but a home. Lots of activities are arranged for the residents to keep them as engaged as possible. Just wish we had found the place sooner.

Eothen Homes is fabulous. Our dementia care journey has been nothing but a fight until we were fortunate enough to get my father a place at the haven which is Eothen. Staff are all fabulous, the facilities are brilliant and the grounds are magnificent. My father is very well cared for and I have no concerns. Not only do the staff care for my father, they nurture us as a family in what is a very difficult time.

Our mam has been living in Eothen Wallsend since July 2023, having moved from another care home. She is so lucky to live here. Her dementia has left her feeling lost and anxious, but there is always someone there with a hug and a smile. The staff are so kind, and infinitely patient and treat her with dignity and respect. They take time to listen to her needs, even when she is unable to vocalise them. The "household" arrangement keeps her centred and comfortable. The home is clean, the facilities are amazing, and the gardens are immaculately kept. Mam feels at home here. Eothen is the very best home.

Eothen is safe and the staff have excellent training. They genuinely care about how their residents are feeling and their well-being. The food is great and the puddings are phenomenal! I would highly recommend this fabulous care home.

And the outside space is equally well-designed and beautifully maintained.

The Eothen is a modern, clean well-spaced building. The staff are absolutely fantastic. They work so hard with all the residents. They look after my mum so well, making her feel happy and relaxed. I can't see my mum every day and there's also great rapport between the managers who keep me updated about anything important I need to know.

My mum came out of hospital this year and into this care home. Initially, my brother and I were worried she might not settle in well. We were delighted to see our mum has settled in well and joins in activities during the day which stimulates her mind. Great professional and caring staff.

My mum has been in this residential dementia care home for a short time but the staff and management have made mum and all of our family very welcome. Mum is very relaxed and full of chat these days which is lovely to see and she is eating well and has put on a little bit of weight, which is great to see too, she is still happy to come out and have lunch with the family or go for a ride out but is more than happy to return asking the staff what's on the menu for tea and sits chatting to other residents. Long may this last. I'm a happy daughter.

From the very first walk around to every time I visit, I cannot fault the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the whole building both inside and out, it's like walking into a five-star hotel. The staff are engaging with both residents and family/friends, making it a home-from-home environment - nothing is a problem. They encourage everyone to take part in activities and outings. Keep up all your hard work and dedication; it is really appreciated - I can now take some time out knowing my family member is in safe hands.
