Over all time Floryn House Care Home has 63 reviews.
After looking at a number of Care Homes, we came across Floryn House which was the only one that met all of our criteria.
Set in a lovely tranquil, tree lined cul-de-sac with a beautiful garden ticked the first box.
The rooms were spacious, light and modern. The home had a calm environment.
The staff were outstanding. At a particularly stressful time both my father and the family couldn't have been looked after better by the receptionists, office staff, manager, carers, house-keeping, maintenance and nursing staff.
A great deal of effort was taken to understand Dad's medical and personal needs as well as who he was as a person, with small touches such as pictures placed outside his room to represent him.
The nursing staff were very effective in addressing Dad's ever changing medical needs.
Dad passed away shortly after moving to Floryn House, preventing him from participating in the many activities available.
However, I would absolutely recommend this hidden gem.
Thank you for your kind review. We are honoured that you chose Floryn House for your father's care and that our team could provide support and comfort during such a difficult time.
It is wonderful to hear that you appreciated our peaceful setting, welcoming environment and person-centred...
Our experience was absolutely outstanding. We were in a position where we needed to find nursing accommodation at short notice, for what was fully expected to be a respite care, but turned out to be end-of-life nursing. The organisation and management of the Floryn House Home was efficient, very cooperative and sympathetic. But the outstanding element of the service provided was the caring, attention, sympathy, and obvious affection shown by every member of staff, who all showed such love for their job. And for their patients
Thank you for your heartfelt review.
We are honoured that you chose Floryn House during such a difficult time. Your kind words about our team mean so much to us. Providing compassionate, dignified care and support to both residents and their families is at the heart of what we do, and we are...
My lovely mum came to Floryn in Mar '25, She was very lonely at home and didn't feel confident taking care of herself. We took mum along to Floryn for a visit. She loved the atmosphere inside and out and the staff were so welcoming. Mum has been at Floryn for over a year now and has taken some settling in but she says it feels like her home. The staff and management are still wonderful with her and us as a family. I would recommend

Floryn House has been a godsend for my parents in law, who transferred here from another care home. They are so much happier and content, have made friends with staff and other residents alike. The doors that open to the garden in the reception area allow residents to enjoy the garden and sunshine while socialising and playing games etc. It's like a hub. Lovely.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted to hear that your parents-in-law have settled so well into life at Floryn House and are feeling happy, content, and part of our community. It's wonderful that they enjoy spending time with friends, staff, and fellow residents, and that our garden...

My mother moved into the home in Yarnton in April '25. She unfortunately passed away end of Feb '26. Whilst Mum was at the home, she was looked after extremely well with great care and kindness. The room was kept clean, and carers were extremely busy with their duties, and service was excellent—regular reviews, great food, and very friendly.
Thank you very much for your kind review.
We were so sorry to hear of your mother's passing and send our sincere condolences to you and your family. It means a great deal to us that you felt she was cared for with kindness and dignity during her time with us.
Your lovely feedback will be shared with the team, who will truly appreciate your words.
We were so pleased that we chose Floryns Care Home for Mum. She was not initially keen to go into a home, but she came to love being at Floryns. She described the carers as friends, and even though she was shy at first, she started to enjoy the social activities too. We have a lot of fantastic memories with mum here, including a family party that was held at Floryns just before Christmas. We will treasure those memories forever. Thank you.
We are so pleased that your mum came to feel happy and comfortable at Floryn House. It was a privilege to care for her and to see her grow in confidence, form friendships with our carers, and enjoy the social activities. Knowing that she felt supported and at home here is the greatest compliment we could receive.
The care they are giving my dad is excellent, nothing is too much trouble, and they are all very helpful if we need advice. Certainly to be recommended.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We're really pleased to hear that you always feel welcome at Floryn House and that you're happy with the care your dad is receiving. Your kind words and recommendation mean a lot to our whole team.
I have no concerns at all, I can relax knowing that my mother is well cared for.
Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We are delighted to hear that both you and your mother feel so welcome and well supported. It means a great deal to our whole team to know that you can relax knowing your mother is well cared for, and we're always happy to welcome you (and your dog!) as part of our care home family.
All the staff have bene friendly, helpful and seem to genuinely care for the residents. The food, activities and pleasant environment make for a very comfortable and safe place.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're so pleased to hear that your mum is happy and that you feel reassured by the care, team and environment. Your comments mean a great deal to our team.
My husband was very poorly on arrival, but in the 4 weeks of care, he reverted to the lovely, cheeky, funny man we know and loved, leaving with such good memories. He slipped away very peacefully at the end and was treated with great respect. We owe huge thanks to all the staff who cared for him, and grateful thanks and appreciation to the management and admin team who were so helpful all throughout.
Thank you for your kind and thoughtful words. We are honoured to have cared for your husband and are so pleased to know he was able to return to the man you knew and loved, and that his final days were peaceful and dignified.
Your appreciation will be shared with all our team members. Please accept our sincere condolences - it was a privilege to care for him.
My dad stayed in this care home under his own choice after going for a viewing at the beginning of the year until his recent passing. From the moment he entered, all the staff were brilliant and my dad felt at home straight away. His loneliness had now gone after his wife had passed many years ago. Couldn't recommend this home and the staff highly enough
Thank you for such a lovely review. It was an honour to care for your Dad and to get to know you as a family. He is greatly missed at Floryn and we know that he really enjoyed his time with us and interacting with the other residents.
This is what all care homes should aspire to. From the moment you walk in you can tell that the staff really care. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We had to move mum from another care home quickly and the staff made it as easy and quick as possible. I have already recommended it to others.
Thank you so much for such a positive review. We are very proud of the team here at Floryn and the fact that everyone feels so welcome. It was a pleasure to be able to help Mum move here so quickly and that she has settled into the family here at Floryn House.
