After moving Mum here from another care home in the area we weren’t happy with for many reasons, we couldn’t be happier. Most importantly Mum is thriving, happy and interested again.
It’s with great thanks to all the loving staff, they are all so kind and patient and have known Mum for the short time
she has been with them. Any concerns are dealt with unquestionably, nothing is too much trouble.
I could go on but in a nutshell, I cannot recommend Formby Manor enough it really is a ‘Home from Home’.

My mum has been here for almost 18 months and I cannot fault the level of care provided. All staff are caring, compassionate, friendly, approachable and professional. Mum is treated with kindness, dignity and warmth. She is very happy here and loves the staff. The difference it has made to both Mum
and myself is immeasurable and I hope all staff, from the manager to the housekeeping, know how much they are appreciated and valued. I would not hesitate to recommend Formby Manor.

Our dad came to Formby Manor Care in September, and all the staff have been so amazing. He could be demanding at times, asking for 1-1 continual attention, yet the staff gave him so much of their time; I cannot thank them enough for their patience and kindness. The place is so beautiful, with views
of the garden, hairdressers and canteens, which are 5-star standard. The facilities and rooms/lounges are lovely, with Wifi and streaming sites on the TV, which we used to play his favourite songs. The food looked so nice, and there were lots of activities. He was so lucky to have been placed there for his assessment after a stay in hospital. Special thanks to the fabulous lady who attended him so often and also to the other fantastic staff. A nice touch was the free cake and filter coffee in reception, which kept us going during visits. I would definitely recommend this home as one of the best you'd ever get anywhere.

First meeting was with the new manager who was so reassuring over our concerns with Mum and most importantly, understood the issues we had which put or minds at rest. Second interaction was with a deputy manager who went up and beyond in supporting Mum and our situation. There have been issues along
the way however staff have been very accommodating in resolving issues and ensuring no reoccurrence. Waiting for a bed in the correct area for Mum's situation is frustrating however I am confident management will sort as soon as one becomes available.

A modern, bright and welcoming care home. Friendly and capable staff. Excellent facilities, well-equipped and furnished rooms.
Overall, confident that my dear uncle is being well cared for.
The only negative is the lack of individual broadband/wi-fi which limits TV options (e.g. online streaming)
and direct dial telephone.

Formby Manor have been amazing with my mum's care. The staff are some of the kindest people who take so much care of my mum. They have also cared for my dad whilst he visits mum and taken time to listen to him and also look after him. I can't thank the staff enough.

Our Mum joined Formby Manor Care Centre in July 2022. She has found the transition from living relatively independently to full-time care a challenge. The staff have managed my mum in a caring and professional manner and they regularly engage with mum on a one on one basis. By doing this they have begun
to understand mum's individual needs in a gentle and unforced way. The physical environment is first class and mum enjoys a healthy and varied diet. We understand that recruitment of an Entertainment Manger is underway and I'm sure this will add to the first class experience that mum is lucky enough to be experiencing. Can’t praise Formby Manor enough, for the excellent care and fantastic friendly caring staff.
Looked at six other care homes thankfully we chose the right one fantastic!
Mum was adamant she did not want to go into care now she has settled and asked to go back when we take her out shopping

Thank you to all staff and volunteers for looking after and taking care of my 90 year old Mum. What must have been a very difficult transition for Mum from her own home to a care home has been made as easy as possible due to the attitude and care and attention of all at Formby.

Absolutely fantastic I can't praise the staff enough, they all go the extra mile for the residents. It's so difficult to put a loved one in a home but I know my mum is safe and well looked after.
Mum has had a few health problems since arriving and the staff in Formby Manor Care Centre especially have
gone above and beyond to ensure she is ok. I can't recommend Formby enough.

The Administrator was the first professional I spoke to regarding seeking residential care for Mum. She showed empathy and kindness. Since Mum moved into Formby Manor she and the care team have been a constant source of reassurance. Initially, we were all distressed but in a surprisingly short period
Mum is settled and happy, and so, we are too. Mum receives exceptional care personal to her which is monitored and adjusted to suit her needs. She is safe with an improved appetite and social life in a friendly, lovely environment. Without the support and reassurance from the staff, this difficult experience would have been almost impossible. Her professionalism and care helped us adjust and have made a positive impact on Mum and we can be a family again without fear and anxiety. The whole team treats Mum and us with respect and are genuinely caring. Thanks to you all.

My Father has been a resident of Formby Manor since July 21. We as a family couldn’t be happier with the care my Dad receives. The home is beautiful. The staff are so attentive and my Father loves the delicious food. It’s a difficult decision putting a loved one into care but the manager and all her

My mother has been a resident at Formby Manor since January 2020. The accommodation, service and food are of a very high standard. More importantly, all the staff I liaise with are marvellous really gentle and caring always professional and cheerful. This atmosphere starts at the front of the house
and goes through the entire home including the medical care which excellent and proactive. Mum is happy in the home and often comments on the kindness of the staff she likes the flexibility around meals with the cooks always prepared to prepare an alternative dish if she just wants a light meal... incidentally the homemade cakes are exceptional! She has made friends in the home and the atmosphere is generally akin to staying in a hotel.

My aunt has lived here for nearly a year and every time I see her she looks like she is going to a wedding, hair beautiful, nails manicured and polished. She was very lonely at home but now has company 24x7 and we are so happy she is safely looked after by wonderful staff. She has been so safe during

I have been working for New Care as a Clinical lead for some time. When an opportunity arose to become the Home manager at Formby Manor, I felt honoured to succeed the retiring Home Manager.


I have been supported not only by my residents, colleagues and relatives but the wider New Care community in my promotion. It is a privilege to work with a company that goes above and beyond on a daily basis, this is right up to the senior management.


New Care have the residents at the forefront of their ethos, and they always make sure their staff are supported; this is one of the many reasons I am passionate about not just Formby Manor but NewCare in general. I look forward to many more years working in this new role, learning from my peers and being within the NewCare family.

I have worked in the care sector for 7 years; I started my career as a Care Assistant. I have now worked for New Care since 2020, I started my career at Formby Manor Care Centre as a Care Assistant. I loved my role as a Care Assistant and wanted to further my career with a company that I know looks after its staff.


From Care Assistant I went on to be a Team Leader in the home, I worked as a Team Leader for 10 months and when the opportunity came to become a Head of Care I jumped at the chance. I have now been in my Head of Care role for 5 months. I have never felt as supported by a company as I do New Care.


The home I work for is amazing, with amazing staff and leadership but I have found in my new role the support is not just the staff from my own home, it is a whole company approach and I love that.

Having worked for New Care for over 5 years now I can say with absolute certainty that it has promoted an environment where learning is fun, accessible and generates positive discussion around improvement. As a trainer, I feel like I am given the opportunity to choose what is right for our staff and to tailor learning to individual needs. The feedback is great and staff look forward to their sessions. But most importantly all staff are listened to and feel part of a great team, no matter their role.
