First time visiting, what a lovely surprise, nice welcome from the lady at reception. Was taken through to the area where residents were singing and playing instruments, with a wonderful carer, leading the session. Afterwards, had a look around the dining area, where we sat and relaxed, everyone was so pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. Was shown to her room, which was very personal to her, with photos on the wall of family and personal bits and bobs. The place itself is spotless, safe and secure. Have left there knowing my relative is in safe hands. Thank you.

Mum came to Garden City Court for a two week respite following recommendation by people, myself and my brother know they were'nt wrong. It's a very well run and caring establishment with such friendly staff who make you instantly welcome. Mum said that the care is exemplary and the carers are lovely. She also enjoyed the many engaging activities. The staff are certainly a credit to this residential home. It's like the people and their attitude who can make a stay a positive one not just the surroundings, which are beautifully clean, homely and most importantly, safe.

I was very wary about putting mum in a carehome but after a number of falls at home we had to make the decision. We chose Garden City Court and have been so pleased with mums care. The staff are so friendly and lovely to mum, the entertainment is spot on. Mums room is comfortable and cosy, the meals look tasty and mum is happy and safe it's a joy to pop in and see her and have a coffee and cake together.

My father has a dietary requirement and this is no problem for the catering team. I would highly recommend Garden City Court to anyone considering a move to a care home in the area. Have a look at their social media page - it will give you a sense of the lovely atmosphere and all the goings-on. I sleep soundly these days, knowing my dad is genuinely cared for.

My mum has been a resident since July 2024, the improvement in her physical health since being a resident here is quite remarkable. The care staff are excellent, they are caring and attentive and got to know my mum well within a matter of weeks. The management has always reacted to my requests promptly and without fuss. I would recommend Garden City Court without hesitation.

In her last days there, the dignity and respect they showed my mum and the compassion and support towards my family I will never forget.

The Home Manager runs all aspects of the home, taking care of the business side of things and ensuring their home provides a high standard of care. While each Manager brings their own flair to the role, they do all have some qualities in common, especially their leadership and organisational skills. The role is very varied, involving plenty of resident interaction alongside the more administrative work to keep the home running smoothly. Our Managers typically hold, or are working towards, a relevant qualification and have proven experience in caring for older people.

Caroline has been a Care Manager for over 20 years, firstly in the community and then moving over to Quantum Care 13 years ago. Caroline is currently a Deputy Manager at Garden City Court and specialises in Manual Handling Training and is an End of Life Champion. Caroline is also working towards her NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care.

I started my care journey at the age of 18 where I began as a domiciliary care worker, working my way up to deputy home manager. I first started working for Quantum care in 2015 and have been very lucky to have worked in several homes, gaining experience and supporting other colleagues to implement changes to ensure our residents are receiving the best standard of care.
I am passionate about making a difference to our residents lives and getting the quality care they deserve.

The Chef Manager organises every aspect of the catering operation and provides a safe, nutritious, quality service to our residents using freshly produced food. With a hands-on role, leading a team, they provide a quality catering service and help create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents. Working with our residents they help to create menus to meet their needs and suit their tastes. They also create and provide fine dining events, using Quantum Care’s award-winning Dining Club concept.

‘I enjoy the versatility of my job role and I enjoy caring for residents and their possessions, it gives me great job satisfaction’ – Wendy Dobbs
