I am extremely pleased with the care and support Mum receives in the home. All the staff are very caring and friendly, and I feel confident she is well looked after. I am impressed with the care given, in particular the call from the care home's GP. Once he had seen my sister and read her notes he phoned asking about her so that he could understand and enhance the bare list of her medical history from the previous GP into some concrete knowledge and context to get to know her better. Living with dementia for both of us has been hard, Knowle Gate has made it so much easier for us both thanks to all the staff.

A superb experience with the team at Knowle Gate. From initial enquiry at the weekend through to taking my mother in as a resident in two working days, the team could not have been more helpful, reliable and very compassionate. With clear information and support with all the necessary documentation I needed, all the team were brilliant. What impressed me, even more, was the approach to understanding all the aspects of my mother's life that were important to her, and using these to create a welcoming pack. It was clear from the moment we walked in that they had listened and really cared about making Mum's arrival as smooth and happy as possible. I was incredibly humbled by the number of people who helped out with this process - Notable people being the manager and the team on the day Mum went in - Thank you all for your help and support!

My Auntie has been a resident at Knowle Gate for several months having suffered great loss and leaving her home and friends in a different part of the country. She has adapted and settled so well and this has been greatly helped by the caring and friendly staff, she introduces any staff member to us as her friend. Her room is excellent, plenty of space and beautifully decorated, as is the whole home. She happily attends the activities and enjoys a coffee in the bistro, sitting out on the terrace or in the lovely garden. As a visitor I have only compliments, it is simple to arrange visits, the staff are always welcoming and I have enjoyed these visits in my Auntie's room, in the attractive downstairs lounge, the garden, and the garden pod. I thoroughly recommend Knowle Gate.

Avery Healthcare stepped up to the highest levels of care and compassion on a very difficult day. The immediacy of help for being able to place my Mum (Alzheimer’s) in Knowle Gate, Solihull - was done professionally, with above and beyond reassurance, clear and accurate communication with the information and advice I needed. No question was too difficult. The care shown to myself and my Mum showed they understood the impact not only on their new resident but also the emotional journey of the carer who has had to make the difficult decision of residential care. The arrival was efficient with everyone was welcoming, kind, and compassionate. Immediately I knew this was a safe place where Mum would receive the care, cognitive stimulation, and specialist Dementia care she now needs. Thank you to every person in Avery Healthcare I spoke to from start to finish of the initial placement. Two days on and my Mum has settled looks relaxed and is smiling about 'the nice people who look after me'.
Thank you for taking the time to review Knowle Gate Care Home. We are extremely appreciative of such positive feedback and I will be sure to pass this on to the rest of the team. We are so pleased that we were able to help at what can be a difficult time. Your Mother is a delight and settling in well in our warm and welcoming community. Best Wishes, Maria.
My Aunt has been a resident of Knowle Gate for several months now. Throughout this time she has been warmly welcomed by all of the staff which has made the transfer as easy as possible. She now refers to Knowle Gate as "home". She enjoys the company of others and likes to join in with all of the activities. She has only positive things to say about all of the staff. I can detect genuine warmth and attention from the staff towards her. The accommodation is beautiful and I always describe it as similar to a 5* hotel. I have had long-term experience of another home in the area and this one is in my opinion vastly superior. The rooms and private bathrooms are spacious, corridors are wide emphasising the space available to the residents and the decor is very attractive. I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone seeking care and support.
Thank you for taking the time to review Knowle Gate Care Home. Your kind words about our home and the staff team are truly invaluable to us. We are so pleased to hear how quickly your aunt has settled into her new home, is enjoying the facilities, and has made new acquaintances. We are delighted...
We are so grateful that my aunty gained a place at Knowle Gate, within a few days, she was physically comfortable, but most importantly, she was receiving the sort of emotional care and mental stimulation that was positively refreshing for her; sparks of the amazing lady she was were back.

We are highly delighted to hear that your aunty has settled in well and feels comfortable at Knowle Gate. Best Wishes, Ryan.
My mother went into Knowle Gate in July of this year, and it was the best choice we could have made. The manager and the team are brilliant with Mom. They are kind, patient and understanding and are happy to give updates and reassurances over the phone which is particularly comforting during the current pandemic. We love seeing the Facebook updates from Knowle Gate as we have been passing these photos of Mom onto friends and family, particularly my sister who lives in Canada. I'm especially impressed by the range of activities that Mom has been encouraged to participate in as it is nice to see her making new friends at such a late stage in her life.
Thank you for reviewing Knowle Gate Care Home. Our staff team are so delighted to hear that your mother has settled in well in our loving community, and it is a pleasure to have her as one of our residents. Best Wishes.
My father has been at Knowle Gate for just over a year. I was looking for a new setting for him as his previous one was clearly not the right place for him. I was lucky enough to be pointed in the direction of Avery by a friend and I contacted them immediately. When I was given a tour of Knowle Gate I had an instant feeling of the caring, compassionate and loving atmosphere here, and was very fortunate that there was a room available for him. I cannot express clearly enough how amazing all the staff are, reception, housekeeping, catering, management, and the carers are wonderful. Residents are always treated with respect but they are clearly loved and cherished by the care staff too. My father tested positive for Covid-19 in the early stages of lockdown but has recovered totally. He is 94 years of age and I am convinced that it is the care and attention he received in Knowle Gate that got him through. I could not recommend this wonderful care home highly enough.
Thank you for taking the time to review Knowle Gate Care Home, your kind words are truly invaluable to us and our staff team will be delighted to hear such wonderful words about them and the home. We are glad to hear how well your father has settled into our home and become a member of our...
My cousin, for whom I hold power of attorney, is suffering from progressive dementia and is now sadly childlike and vulnerable. I am constantly aware of, and indeed very grateful, for the care and compassion shown to her by the staff. She is comfortable, despite needing discreet constant supervision, secure, and encouraged to take part in any home-based activities she wishes. There is no pressure on her to take part in any activities which she does not wish; a valuable approach as she has had a difficult life in recent years. I cannot praise the home more highly.
Thank you for taking the time to review Knowle Gate Care Home and for your lovely feedback. I am delighted to hear how satisfied you are with Knowle Gate Care Home and the care your cousin is receiving. Our highly trained staff always endeavour to make our residents feel comfortable and at home in...
Nicely situated care home with pleasing décor. All staff are very helpful and friendly. Communication between resident, relatives and staff is excellent. Fees are high, but commensurate with the standard of care and facilities.
Thank you for taking the time to review Knowle Gate Care Home. It is wonderful to hear how satisfied you are with our home. I will be sure to pass on your positive feedback to our staff team. Best wishes Rachel.
In this exceptionally difficult year for care homes, I believe that my husband has been cared for in the best possible way. As there has been no access to the home itself I can't judge how my husband has faired on a daily basis but when he has been unwell I have been contacted by his doctor who talks me through the treatment etc which has been very important to me and the rest of my husband's family.
Thank you for taking the time to review Knowle Gate Care Home. It is wonderful to hear how satisfied you are with our home. I will be sure to pass on your positive feedback to our staff team. Best wishes Rachel.
The transition of moving Mum from hospital to Knowle Gate was handled efficiently in these dreadful Covid times and they kept me informed. Mum has settled in well and I feel the nursing and care team are completely aware of her needs.
So far I've not had any concerns regarding any aspect of Mum's care but I know that if I were to experience such doubts, I can approach any one of the team from the manager including her staff.
I am writing this as a relative who hasn't been able to visit Knowle Gate or meet any of the staff prior to Mum's arrival.
Thank you for taking the time to review Knowle Gate Care Home and for your lovely feedback. Your kind words are truly invaluable to us, and our staff team will be delighted to hear this. Best wishes Rachel.
