What an amazing place Juniper House is! The team are all so diligent, caring and friendly. Their superb care enabled me to finally go away for a much-needed holiday for two weeks, knowing my mum was safe and cared for. I would go as far as to say the Juniper House team gave me my life back for the time my mum stayed there. Thank you so much!

On arrival at the home, we were greeted and welcomed with such kindness. The staff helped to settle my friend straight away.
She feels safe and well cared for by the wonderful team of staff. Nothing is too much trouble and they always show kindness and respect.

Thank you for making this transition into care a pleasant experience. My friend only came for respite and has decided to stay.

My grandad has lived in Juniper House for nearly two years. The staff are excellent, kind and caring. I visit weekly and can see that he is comfortable in his room and is given opportunities to participate in various activities. He also enjoys the food, especially the desserts! I can see that he is safe and well cared for here and I would recommend Juniper House to others.

My mum was a formal resident in Juniper House Residential Care Home until her death this year.
My husband's uncle is now a resident.

I have always found the staff welcoming and polite whatever their grade - from reception to cleaners. Care was given as required with respect and dignity. Any request for help or information was met in a timely manner.

All staff really patient and provide support as much as they can practically do with my Mums dementia. Thank you all so much.

Sometimes frustrating but only because of my mum's condition and the fact we do not have power of attorney.

Mother went here for respite. I am always weary about homes, as more often than not, Mother comes out with sores. She didn't from here, and that means a lot; she also didn't spend the next week moaning about being there. To me, this means she was well cared for, and I would happily send her there again.

I was very impressed with the focus, commitment and "can-do" attitude of the care team, especially the home manager when we had a crisis situation with my mother. It would have been so easy to avoid the difficult decision and minimise the trouble at the home, but the manager and the team grasped the nettle to do the best for my mother. Thank you!

My mother went into care during Covid, so was very upsetting as not allowed to visit. The staff were wonderful and helped her settle in. Once I could visit, it was easier. I was allowed in her room, and we have regular phone calls. She has OCD and is very fussy with her food, but everyone catered for her needs. She was safe, so thank you, Juniper House!

My mother had a 10-day period of respite. Upon collecting my mother to return home, I was expecting tears and for her to be so relieved to see me to take her home. Well, I was truly surprised; she was full of joy, chatting about the activities she has enjoyed that day, signing etc. I really did see a glimpse of my mother; it was very heartwarming. The staff appear to genuine care, respect and understand the person as a whole. My mother is now a full-time resident.

Juniper House is a beautiful building within a lovely setting. Since Nan has been a resident, she has been well cared for with no request being too much trouble. During a difficult time recently, the team have been amazing, taking into consideration the feelings of all. The home and its staff provide a wonderful environment for which Nan to live in.

My husband went into Juniper House for respite for the first time in May for just over three weeks. At first, he was a little unsettled and agitated but the wonderful staff soon changed that with their kind and caring manner, encouraging him to take part in the activities and interact with the other residents for meals, etc. He settled in really well and has since been back for a respite week in June.

I'm happy that my relative is currently staying at Juniper House, it came highly recommended and it is local to where she lives and to family. The staff are very friendly and keep me informed about my relative's health and well-being. Visits are well organised with lateral tests and available PPE which ensures that my relative is safe. My relative tells me that the majority of staff are nice, and the meals are really good. They also tell me that their room is nice and they can bring personal items to make their room more homely.

Choosing a care home for my mum was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do and I'm so glad I chose Juniper. Despite mums dementia, I feel so relieved that she is in such a caring home that goes above and beyond to make her life as happy as possible. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. We nearly lost mum due to a bleed on the brain last year and the staff were so compassionate and caring, despite Covid restrictions I was allowed to spend time with mum during her last days, then with the help and dedication of the wonderful carers mum miraculously recovered and is currently running around enjoying her life. I cannot thank the staff on all levels enough for everything they have done.

I have been so impressed with the level of care and the happy, comfortable, homely environment that I recommended Juniper to a close friend for her husband. He too is now happily having respite here. I would definitely recommend Juniper again and again.

The staff are amazingly kind, caring, friendly, cheerful and approachable. Care is offered in a very sensitive manner using humility and respectfulness. Residents are treated with dignity and staff show a great sense of humour.
The senior management team should be congratulated for the professional manner it has approached and responded to the Covid epidemic.

Some aspects of the building seem a little "tired"

Mum had lived Juniper House Residential Care Home for four and a half years with a contentment that the family never thought she would. Towards the end of 2020 her frailty was becoming more event, and she had a series of minor strokes. The Covid situation had meant that we had only limited contact with mum. However, in the second week of December, she found walking very difficult and it was obvious that Mum was deteriorating. Despite Covid, my sister and I were allowed to stay with Mum in her room (with all the PPE etc.). During this precious time we saw the love and care that the staff had showed her, Juniper really was her home, and the staff and residents her family. We were with Mum when she died. We will forever be grateful for this gift.

The staff strive to make the environment homely. They are caring and professional. They have done an amazing job during this pandemic keeping the residents safe and families informed. My mum has been in their care for the past 6 years and I am very grateful that she is so well looked after. I am able to visit the home at any time of day and spend as long as I am able (pre-pandemic and hopefully again when the world returns to some normality).

Kind, caring and very thoughtful staff. They are so hardworking and try to help my Dad and all our family as we navigate this horrible and strange time. Staff are always happy to talk even when they are busy and all of them have been so considerate and professional. We are so grateful for the excellent care our Dad is getting while we are unable to care for him ourselves.
