Juniper House is like a large family to my father, he is settled and happy.
We, his daughters, feel that the home provides care, security and a sense of belonging.

We are very happy and pleased that he is in such a lovely place.

A truly amazing and inspirational place with a unique mindset. I knew what my brother needed from a care package and thought that if I could find somewhere that provided 75% of my wish list, I would indeed be lucky. We have 110%

What more can I say.

My mother has been cared for in Juniper House for the last 3 years and before that in another house for 2 years. She is very happy and praises her care all the time. If ever there is a problem it is always sorted quite quickly. She will be 104 years old in November and is of sound mind and still mobile.

They must be doing something right.

The care and consideration given to my mother at Juniper House is exemplary. The care home is exceptionally clean and bright and cheerful. The staff are all friendly and caring and obviously enjoy their work. The atmosphere is happy and fun. Nothing is too much trouble. My mother has settled in very well and is very happy which in turn pleases the whole family.

Although the general standard is good, more could be done to personalise care to suit individual residents needs. To be clear, this does not mean extra work for staff, it means providing the right services for each resident.

Generally very good but the following need improvement:

1) Laundry system - (garments are tagged but sill go missing).
2) Change the water in the flower vases.

3) Smell in corridors and rooms sometimes.

It is a great relief to see my mother so conscientiously and caringly looked after. The carers seem to take a genuine interest and are always ready to note her preferences and foibles.

My mother who is 85 went into the home reluctantly after an extended hospital stay. The home has excellent staff and facilities and is next door to a medical centre where a doctor calls in twice a week and is on call at other times. My mum has made excellent progress in the last 9 months and now sees the home as her home. The staff are very friendly and attentive, all her medical requirements are carefully seen to and she loves the food. My mum is a quiet person but she has made a number of friends, who she meets each day when they sit down for lunch, there are always people about so she never feels lonely as she did at home. The whole team do an excellent job from the manager down to all the carers and support staff.

My mum now sees Juniper house as her home and doesn't want to go home, the rooms are spacious and all have on suite facilities there is even a Guinea pig.

I feel my husband was very fortunate to reside at Juniper House. My daughter, daughter-in-law and son visited regularly and were extremely happy with the care, friendliness and help offered by the staff! I was only able to visit about 3 times as I was reliant on lifts after my hip replacement but I was also impressed by my husband's room, size, cleanliness and willingness of staff! I would certainly be happy if my husband had to go there again but unfortunately I doubt our finances would stretch to it!!

The care my mum receives is of a consistently high standard. Recently, my mum had pneumonia and was very ill. Her GP recommended hospitalisation but my mum did not wish this. She was unable to swallow, dehydrated and incredibly frail. The wonderful team at Juniper House took on the challenge of managing mum with subcutaneous fluids until she recovered. Amazing. The activities and entertainment programme for residents is excellent.

Juniper House is a lovely environment in which my mum feels very relaxed. She enjoys the gardens, the lovely living room set-ups by the dining areas and the food - she has a good appetite and really enjoys both the quality and the variety. From my own perspective I love the light and airy feel to mum's room and indeed the whole of Juniper's communal areas. Above all though I find the staff very friendly, helpful and professional and I know my mum really appreciates this.

No concerns whatsoever. Felt very welcome from the minute I walked through the door with a friend coming in for respite. All staff are very friendly, helpful and considerate of residents and family and friends. Couldn't find any faults anywhere. Would be more than happy to call this my home. All staff prepared to give you their time as necessary. The manager, assistant manager, administrator, care workers and all others encountered, can't praise them all highly enough! My elderly friend brought in was also very happy.
