Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre is a purpose-built home offering a range of excellent facilities and care, perfectly situated close to the city centre with all of its amenities. A range of tailored care packages are available from respite to long term care.

The accommodation provides a homely and welcoming environment which consists of comfortable en-suite rooms, spacious and bright communal areas where residents can enjoy socialising and relaxing, and pleasant, secure landscaped gardens.

Staff at Lisburn encourage residents to join in with the many organised activities and outings alongside any hobbies and personal interests. There are regular visits from a hairdresser and chiropodist, and residents can benefit from physiotherapy and occupational therapy in the on-site therapy rooms.

My husbands stay was respite care for approximately 1 month. The overall experience was very positive. Staff, everyone, were so pleasant and accommodating, helpful and nothing too much trouble. Pleasant surroundings and good standard of cleanliness and care shown. Much to live up to when he reaches
home!

This is proving to be an excellent stepping stone for my Mother's transition from being critically ill in hospital to hopefully her return to her own home. The staff have been wonderful, so caring and fond of each resident as an individual. The attention to 2 hourly turning and cleaning has been impeccable.
This is a very well managed unit, and the professional visiting staff are also very dedicated. The food is good too.

We have been entirely happy with Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre. My Mother would have been content to stay much longer. Great care. There is a consultancy led rehab within Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre.

I was apprehensive about leaving hospital in Belfast.
I have been very well looked after by the friendly staff. They do an almost impossible job as sometimes there is a panic and many people need help at the same time. It sometimes takes a long time for them to respond to the bell.
If only there was
a two ring system; 1, Come when you can. 2, Please be quick - I urgently need the toilet.
The food is rather heavy and starchy. I would have liked more fresh fruit and salad. The frequency is rather too often.
It would be good to be warned that the burglar alarm might go off and not to panic.

This was a very difficult time in my life - life-changing. All the staff treated me with great care and dignity at all times. They never made me feel I was a nuisance and were always cheery.
The physiotherapist and occupational therapists worked with me to give me back my independence.

I have been a resident since 6/6/2019. I have been treated with respect and dignity in every occasion. It has been a friendly place to live in having suffered a stroke and feeling very vulnerable. I was made to feel safe and secure. The nursing care has been excellent and the stroke team is 1st class.

I was a resident at Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre for 5 months and I have received an excellent standard of care. The rooms are warm and comfortable and the staff are superbly professional, caring and extremely friendly.
Nothing is too much trouble for them and I sincerely believe they have helped
greatly with my rehabilitation. Friends and family are made to feel welcome. My experience of this home has been a happy one. Thank you to everyone at Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre.

My mum's care was excellent. Staff all very efficient and loving in every way. Mum's stay in the care home was a good experience. She settled in well and staff were on hand to comfort her when she was feeling low. Nothing went unnoticed, from the staff right down to the cleanliness of the home. I would

My dad has been in Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre twice. Once last year for 5 weeks during which time he received physio, OT and care which all allowed him to come home with a care package.
He was extremely ill last November and was once again transferred to Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre. He has
received so much warmth and recognition from staff. The care is of a high standard and he has a particularly good relationship with one of his carers in the home. They have always been quick to recognise any deviations from normal in my dad's condition and provide good care with help from outside agencies. Manager is superb!

I am more than satisfied with the care provided here. The staff in Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre (Lagan Suite) are very caring and efficient. I have every confidence in them. They treat the residents in their care with dignity and professionalism. I have visited at all times of the day and evening
and always find them cheerful and kind. The senior nurse is very organised and is always ready to assist. I know that my husband is in good hands with her and her staff looking after him. The fact that I marked satisfactory for food and drink reflects what is available. This is not a criticism of the food in general, which is good.

I find the nursing staff in the home to be very competent and caring. The standard of cleaning in residents room is satisfactory. The entertainment/activities for residents in the home are absolutely brilliant with the residents. The care assistants could spend less time on their mobile phones and congregating
in the office and dining room. Foreign staff are very caring and hardworking and put local staff to shame. I think some staff need retraining in the care of elderly and old residents.

The nursing care would be to a high standard, staff would be very kind and well mannered.
Rooms are clean and is like home, my children are made welcome and always get a cup of tea.
The activity girls are great and keep us busy with activities, getting hair done weekly is fab.
I would suggest that
the menu of 3 weeks could change, asking residents and family what they would like taken off or put on.
