Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre

Overall, my family agree that the end-of-life care was excellent.

My experience to date has been fine, I am 96 years old. I have been a resident since teatime on Friday the 6th of January 2023. I find the staff very approachable. They work 12 hours shifts days and nights. Times for meals etc are met and things are very organised and reliable. We have private rooms with ensuite bathrooms. I go for meals in the dining room and classes and not be sitting in my room all day and mixing with other people.

This is my first experience of a care home. I have been extremely well looked after and the staff are always on hand day and night at the process of a button. I am personally well looked after the staff are always attentive. I would recommend this care home to everyone.

Some of the carers were exceptional and helped me through some tough times.

They also kept us well informed of any changes e.g. infection requiring antibiotics and dealt well with the reintroduction of Covid restrictions to visiting etc.

Mum has received the best care. She talks highly of all the staff.

Management was always on hand to give good sound advice and sort out any family problems. The indoor and outdoor facilities, both summer and winter were excellent. The building showed a very high standard of maintenance throughout.

My mum was here for 7 weeks after a referral from hospital. The care she received was second to none from all the staff who were absolutely wonderful. Their care for her both compassionate and practical was superb. I can't rate them highly enough. Many thanks to all concerned.

My father has been a resident in Lisburn Intermediate Care for nine months and the care he has received has been exceptional. The staff are very attentive, caring and treat him with dignity. The rooms are clean and tidy and meals are appetising. My father has been very content and happy.

My relative has received excellent care during his 3 plus years at Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre. Visitors are always made to feel welcome. His room is always clean/tidy and his food is always hot and brought to him on time. The staff are always cheerful and happy to help. I would highly recommend this care home. There are always planned activities for residents to take part in.

Ever since my uncle arrived this has been a home from home. The staff are very caring, flexible and treat him like an individual. It has been a challenging time but made easier by the professionalism of the Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre team.

During the month that I've been here, I've received excellent care and attention. The care and cheerfulness of all carers made a difficult time for me more bearable. I would recommend that it's made easier for wheelchair users to get in and out to the patio, possibly a ramp.

I just could not thank you enough for all the care, help and attention I have received here.

I have found the staff very willing to help. They do a great job and are always very caring. Nothing seems to be any trouble for them. I couldn't praise them enough.

My husbands stay was respite care for approximately 1 month. The overall experience was very positive. Staff, everyone, were so pleasant and accommodating, helpful and nothing too much trouble. Pleasant surroundings and good standard of cleanliness and care shown. Much to live up to when he reaches home!

Very good comprehensive care.

This is proving to be an excellent stepping stone for my Mother's transition from being critically ill in hospital to hopefully her return to her own home. The staff have been wonderful, so caring and fond of each resident as an individual. The attention to 2 hourly turning and cleaning has been impeccable. This is a very well managed unit, and the professional visiting staff are also very dedicated. The food is good too.

We have been entirely happy with Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre. My Mother would have been content to stay much longer. Great care. There is a consultancy led rehab within Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre.

It would be good to be warned that the burglar alarm might go off and not to panic.
