Overall Experience

We were warmly greeted by staff and nurses on arrival on the first of September - a meal was provided right away because we had been delayed at the hospital. My husband was taken to a nice room and made as comfortable as possible. Everyone made us very welcome. The love and kindness of all staff make me (and my husband) very happy and feel safe and cared for. I am informed of my husband's condition, and change of treatment and am included of adjustments that sometimes have to be made. The home is local so I can visit my husband every day. He is very happy here, so I am happy too.

Staff always have time to chat and answer questions and are always courteous.
My sister always appears well looked after with clean clothes and person.

Possibly could have more programmes for individuals like my sister who cannot take part in group activities, especially for the seemingly huge sums of money for self-funders.

Overall Experience
My mother was admitted to LICC following a leg amputation. Making arrangements with the Center was very easy and the team were extremely welcoming. The accommodation itself was well maintained, clean and tidy, and very functional for wheelchair users, with wide corridors, a lift and rooms laid out in a way which allow wheelchairs to navigate easily. The ensuite wet room was a necessary and welcome addition. The staff are very professional, attentive and responsive. On occasion when I needed to raise any matter (or Mum did herself), the matter was taken care of immediately. The fact that the Centre welcomed visits from pets was fantastic and undoubtedly helped Mum get to grips with her situation.

The only area which would benefit from attention is the food - portion size was fine but the quality and nutritional value of the servings needs improvement. There were exceptions, but these were few and far between. Overall I would recommend this Centre and would use again.

Following a five-week period in hospital, my cousin spent three weeks in this care home. My assessment is based on contact with staff and the reports my cousin gave me during visits. I have been really impressed with her treatment and the facilities during her stay.

The home is kept very neat and tidy. All staff are very helpful and my wishes are mostly carried out. There always needs to be information and concerns between management, nursing staff and care staff. I believe that a review should be in place between family and staff at least every 3 months for concerns and issues on both sides.

Very happy with our experience during our mum's stay in LICC. The staff were responsive and supportive, putting our mum's needs first and treating her with dignity and respect at all times. Our mum thought it was a lovely, comfortable room; and the care and professionalism that we received from all the staff was second to none. Huge thanks to all for your care and support.

Would like to comment staff at nursing home, who continue to look after my father-in-law in a caring and very professional manner.

A particular mention to the staff member who interacts continuously with my father-in-law as members of family.

We cannot express enough how wonderful all the staff are. They are so friendly and helped put our mother at ease during a stressful time. The staff are incredibly professional and give outstanding care at all times. The rooms and facilities are excellent. Our mother especially looked forward to the activities that were arranged, these really helped to get the day/weeks by. As a family, we would like to thank everyone for going over and beyond, it really did mean so much to all of us and our mother.

I find the home exceptional, the staff are amazing, my partner is looked after to the highest standard, each and every member of staff is polite, courteous, professional and a pleasure to deal with. I could not be happier with the care my partner is receiving, and am so happy he is being looked after to such a high standard at all times despite the pressure they are all under.

I spent on average three hours a day with my mother for five days (I live abroad) and was most impressed by the sincere and hardworking behaviour of the nurses I met. I could see their profession and genuine care expressed when handling my mum. The dementia ward in which my mum is cared for has a warm, calm and clean atmosphere as does the rest of the home which I have seen. I highly appreciate that the staff are the same daily and that staff turnover is low. It was clear, even with my mum in late stage of dementia, that she felt at ease with the people looking after her.

Excellent care, reassured by a link with the hospital. Care is overseen by doctors and a supporting team e.g. physio. Staff professional, caring, friendly and approachable. Facilities, individual rooms and bathrooms are well adapted and meet needs. Bright, pleasant, spotlessly clean. Night attended excellent and immediate response if needed. Appointments with the hospital were conducted and transport was arranged. Food is satisfactory, although meals are too close together. Safety everywhere with nurses in attendance if needed. Constant oversight and review of medication. Well-being and personal appointments e.g. hairdresser, social events, spiritual devotions available. Overall extremely satisfied.

I had a bad accident in my garden at the beginning of September 2023. I was badly injured and was operated on in the hospital. After 10 days, I was transferred to another hospital and then here in February 2024. I cannot praise Lisburn enough for the treatment I have received. Safety is a major concern. I can now walk again with support.

My mum is currently at the Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre. Staff are amazing, looking after her and knowing she is safe and well cared for is all you could ever ask for. Can't rate the home enough! Love the staff; always friendly and I know if I need to talk or worried about my mum there will always be someone there for me, whatever time day or night.

Mum was a service user of Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre for almost five months. During this time, Mum's health and rehabilitation improved significantly. I have no doubt it was largely due to the exceptional care given to her by the staff at Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre. They showed Mum the utmost respect, care and empathy along with lots of encouragement. I found them very approachable and always kept us informed of any changes etc. Our family are very grateful for the care they provided Mum.

My husband spent the last 15 weeks of his life in Lisburn Intermediate Care Centre. I thought that the care that he received was excellent for someone with his condition.
I'm not sure if this centre would be as suitable if he had needed more long-term care.

Overall, my family agree that the end-of-life care was excellent.

My experience to date has been fine, I am 96 years old. I have been a resident since teatime on Friday the 6th of January 2023. I find the staff very approachable. They work 12 hours shifts days and nights. Times for meals etc are met and things are very organised and reliable. We have private rooms with ensuite bathrooms. I go for meals in the dining room and classes and not be sitting in my room all day and mixing with other people.
