The home is located in a quiet residential area, whilst being close to transport links and local amenities and attractions.

Marham House is operated by Anchor. Anchor has more than 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people. Marham House continues to welcome new residents for residential and residential dementia care.

The dedicated care team gets to know each resident, working with them and their loved ones to create detailed care plans so that their needs are always met. The Lifestyle Team are on hand to ensure that each resident enjoys each day as they wish to.

High quality dementia care is provided to residents living with the condition by colleagues who are fully trained to ensure the best approach.

The care team provides individual and compassionate care by getting to know each individual and building strong relationships with them and their loved ones.

Marham House Care Home has been a special place for my mum and us as daughters. The staff are so kind and helpful. We feel Mum is safe there and well looked after. The lifestyle ladies make such a difference to life in a care home. We will miss the home manager greatly but wish the new manager every
happiness.

My mother stayed at Marham on a 4 week trial but was given notice to leave after 2 weeks. The reason given was her night shouting for help, which disturbed residents. No effort was made by management to find out the reasons for the shouting i.e speaking to a GP, she was just asked to leave. The care
home she is in now have managed to address the problem after only 1 week. It was connected to pain management at night, something Marham could easily have investigated. I'm very disappointed in Marham House as a care home.

My mother had a month respite care following an operation - she was welcomed into the home and made friends - nothing was too much trouble for the staff. On her return home, she realised that she needed this help and has returned as a permanent resident. The staff made the transition for both her and
us in a kind and thoughtful manner. Staff make time to be with the residents and always addressing them by name. Marham House Care Home is clean and welcoming and is a credit to the team working here.

My mother is very happy living in Marham House. She feels very well cared for and enjoys most of the many activities. The staff ensure she gets the food she likes and plenty of it. The staff always listen to any concerns and are very supportive.

Mum's having loads of fun. The carers all dressed up in fancy dress and all residents had pom poms, nice to see Mum laughing and enjoying her days.
Mum would like more physical activities, i.e. keep fit to music as that's her favourite.

My mum was made to feel very welcome as a new resident, her personal care was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough for her. The room was clean and Mum enjoyed her lunch which we had with her in the dining room. The staff were kind and helpful and answered any questions we had.

Marham House comes across as a lovely big new build care home facility built back in 2020 alongside the new housing estate. Our first experience of Marham House was a pleasure, the care home provided close one-to-one care.
My grandmother has spent a total of 16 months in this care facility with the
last 8 months being miserable and a feeling of being cast aside with a sense of staffing issues within the facility meaning my grandmothers laying in bed for a high number of hours instead of being placed in her chair. Food not being cut up as she is unable to do this herself.
The standard of her room has slipped with clothing that belongs to her getting shared between rooms, the wheel had fallen off her food trolly, meaning her dinner/lunch was never level. Things only resolve if you have a moan to high management on a regular basis.
Overall I feel this is more of a residential facility for the able who can care for themselves most of the time, unlike the care provided for the less fortunate.

The overall attentiveness to our grandmother could be improved - for example, we try and visit at meal times because she will be left with dinner not cut up which means she is unable to eat it or it ends up on the floor which isn't acceptable.
Also, her room often smells of urine and the bin is always
overflowing so we empty it when we are here which we should not have to do. In my opinion, the staff could/should check in more regularly to see if they need/want any help and not left to struggle.
