Marham House is located in Bury St Edmunds and provides friendly and comfortable residential and dementia care for up to 66 residents.

Each spacious bedroom benefits from an en suite wet room to support privacy and dignity. The home is located in a quiet residential area, whilst being close to transport links and local amenities and attractions.

Marham House continues to welcome new residents for residential and residential dementia care both on a long term basis and for shorter and trial stays.

The dedicated care team gets to know each resident, working with them and their loved ones to create detailed care plans so that their needs are always met. The Lifestyle Team are on hand to ensure that each resident enjoys each day as they wish to.

Friendly dementia care is provided to residents living with the condition by colleagues who are fully trained to ensure the best approach.

The care team provides individual and compassionate care by getting to know each individual and building strong relationships with them and their loved ones.

Marham House is operated by Anchor. Anchor has more than 60 years of experience as a not-for-profit provider of services to older people.

My aunt has been a resident of Marham House Care Home since March 2021. I have been consistently impressed by the very high quality of care that my aunt has received. The staff are kind, thoughtful and always patient. Visiting Marham House is like going into a luxury hotel, always tidy and spotlessly
clean. The staff are very welcoming and helpful when I visit or telephone. The atmosphere is relaxed. Residents are treated with the utmost dignity.
I would thoroughly recommend Marham House. Families can be sure that their loved one will receive excellent care from dedicated team professionals for whom nothing is too much trouble.

Very warm welcome when I arrived, all the staff are very friendly. My friend's room is very nice. We were offered a drink as soon as we sat down in the lounge. A lovely surprise, we had a young man with his guitar sing some lovely old songs. I believe this happens regularly and I was lucky to visit
on his day here. The care given to my friend is excellent. Thank you to all the staff, the Marham House Care Home is like walking into a luxury hotel.

My mum has been a resident for three months. Plenty of time to really get a feel for the place. She settled in very quickly and is very happy. The accommodation is like a really expensive cruise ship, even down to the daily entertainment sheet. The staff are amazing. Friendly, happy and helpful. I cannot
believe that we found such an amazing care home. It must be the best in the country.

There is a good friendly relaxed atmosphere in the home.
The staff are always welcoming and helpful. Mum is content and enjoys all the activities, which are imaginative and stimulating. Mum is well cared for. The staff are respectful, observant and professional, but also warm and caring too.

Following the experience of two care homes, Marham Care Home is a refreshing change. All aspects, that is those I encountered, were excellent. I would draw special attention to the manager, her team and the individual rooms. Public rooms were most attractive, including the library, dining room and entrance
hall. Residents seemed happy and settled - a real treat compared to very different contexts I have met. The range of facilities is good and the weekly activities list is varied and there is much to choose from. Links with the local hospital are very good.

Staff are so diligent, nothing is too much bother for them. They are so caring and considerate both to myself and my husband. The building itself is out of this world. My husband was so happy while he was there, it was heartwarming to see.

Superlatives such as brilliant, terrific, marvellous are so often bandied around that they often lose their effectiveness in the case of Marham House, from the management team through to all who cared for my husband on his recent respite those superlatives and more absolutely apply. We had a very positive experience right from our initial enquiry with the manager. She took the time to discuss and fully understand our mother's potential care needs. Recently our mother transitioned from hospital to Marham House Care Home and this was handled seamlessly. The manager, together with
her team of carers and the lifestyle team, were able to understand and adapt very quickly to our mother's needs to ensure she felt welcomed and at ease. In a very short period of time they were patiently, competently and intuitively able to ensure that our mother felt safe, understood, listened to and respected. Our mother has been encouraged and able to engage in some of her former hobbies in very comfortable and appealing surroundings and we have noticed a wonderful upswing in her vitality and positivity. Nothing is ever too much trouble and there are a variety of daily activities on offer including a hairdresser and movie nights which have also enhanced our mother's well being.

I spent an enjoyable three hours at The Mad Hatters Tea Party. There was plenty of lovely tea and cakes. The staff had worked so hard. The tables looked authentic and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

A most enjoyable evening (Oscars award night), well planned and all the hard work it required ensured it went well. Enjoyed by all present, all the recipients were worthy winners. I hope the applause also told them how much we, the residents, appreciate all their hard work and dedication. A delightful
