Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge. Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

My mother has mixed dementia and is unable to walk, stand, etc she stayed in Parsons Grange for three weeks respite care. The place is amazing, it’s like staying in a five star hotel but most of all Parsons Grange offers the most amazing personalised quality of care, it looks after all physical care needs and fantastic mental stimulation with lots of activities. The staff are respectful, proactive and reactive, and totally professional. They offer full support not only to the resident but to the whole family which I found extremely helpful especially with my mother's quick decline. I would give this home a 10 out of 10 and would highly recommend it. My mother will definitely be returning for future respite care.

Parsons Grange is an oasis of care, companionship and calm in these strange Covid-19 times. We looked at three care homes local to us for our Dad and Parsons Grange came through as our favourite. We were supported through the process by the Customer Relations Manager, as well as the Regional Director and all our questions and hesitancy were very ably handled, even to the point of having conversations over the Christmas break! Dad has settled in extremely well and has become extremely fond of everyone there, including the reception, administration, nursing, housekeeping and catering teams. We feel very lucky to have chosen Parsons Grange.

Dad’s move to Parsons Grange has been a great success. He had a great life living in rural Herefordshire and was lucky to remain well until his mid 90’s. Even now he is mostly well but can’t speak. We were nurtured and helped through all the decision making processes until we, as a family with Dad, took the plunge and made the move to Parsons Grange. The sales lady, in particular, was wonderful and very patient. The welcome from everyone was special and Dad has been surrounded by love and affection ever since. Dad has a particular problem with COVID rules in that he can’t speak and so can’t use a phone but the team at Parsons Grange are wonderfully accommodating with zoom and allowing us to see Dad through his patio door as well as the pod. Their willingness to accept questions and suggestions means we are sure that they will come up with ways for families and residents to safely use the outdoor space and patios as the weather improves. We cannot recommend Parsibs Green highly enough; if I could I’d move in!

We chose Parsons Grange not only for the lovely new building with every possible facility but for the compassion and support we were given from the onset of our enquiry. We were guided throughout this difficult time of choosing the right care home and always found any questions that arose were answered clearly and honestly. The transition was made easier knowing that every resident would be treated as an individual and that time was taken in advance to find out as much as possible about the person coming into their care to make it as stress-free as possible on arrival into our loved one's new home. We have found all the staff to be kind, thoughtful and caring and treat our mum with dignity, everyone giving 100% to their profession at all times. Communication is good and we regularly have updates on how she is doing and any concerns that might arise. You couldn't wish for any better from a care home, thank you all.

I’d just like to thank you for all you’ve done to help with the process of settling our relative into Parsons Grange. You’ve been so professional and helpful throughout, from my first email inquiry to overseeing the room for her to come to. At the start of the process, we were feeling totally overwhelmed trying to sort out suitable care for her during these difficult times. Once we came to Parsons Grange and saw the beautiful surroundings and rooms and discussed everything with you we felt totally confident that it was a place she’d be able to call home. You then helped us through every step of the arrangements, from the videos of the room to help with the paperwork, you have made things so easy for us. We now feel so relaxed knowing our relative has settled in so well and is enjoying her new home. All the staff have been so friendly, helpful and caring, it’s been wonderful to know she’s so well looked after.

I have over twenty years of experience working in older people’s care. My passion is caring for and supporting older people to be as independent as possible. I believe in involving residents in all decision-making so they can live each day in the way they wish.
My father was diagnosed with dementia, so I understand how hard-hit families can be after this diagnosis. We’re here to support loved ones to realise that it’s not the end and that it’s possible to live well with dementia. That’s exactly what we support residents to do. We ensure families are involved in care planning, and loved ones are welcome to be involved in their relative’s day-to-day care if they wish to be. We work in partnership with families, and everything we do is personalised to individual needs and wishes.
I’m so proud of the Parsons Grange team. They’re very responsive and supportive – both to me, each other, the residents and their families. Together we’re determined that Parsons Grange continues to be the best care home in Reading.
