A huge thank you to all at Parsons Grange. It is a beautiful brand new home with every home comfort you can think of. It is never an easy decision when looking for a care home but from the very first phone call, we have been treated with nothing but kindness, help and professionalism. Always understanding what a difficult time this is. Help and advise is always at hand but most of all they care for your loved ones like they are their own.

Overall Experience
It was fortuitous that I spotted this Care UK home, as it had only recently opened. From my first tentative enquiry to the day my stepmother moved to Parsons Grange we have always been treated exceptionally well. Everybody at the home has been so supportive and generous with both their energy and their time. At every point of the quite complicated procedure of dealing with the council and the funding issues, they have been there. Helping us negotiate what was a difficult and fraught time. All very much appreciated.
More importantly, I feel I can trust that both the staff and the facilities will be exceptional for my stepmother and that she will be very happy there. And already very well looked after.

A big ‘thank you’ to everyone at the home.

I’d just like to thank you for all you’ve done to help with the process of settling our relative into Parsons Grange. You’ve been so professional and helpful throughout, from my first email inquiry to overseeing the room for her to come to. At the start of the process, we were feeling totally overwhelmed trying to sort out suitable care for her during these difficult times. Once we came to Parsons Grange and saw the beautiful surroundings and rooms and discussed everything with you we felt totally confident that it was a place she’d be able to call home. You then helped us through every step of the arrangements, from the videos of the room to help with the paperwork, you have made things so easy for us. We now feel so relaxed knowing our relative has settled in so well and is enjoying her new home. All the staff have been so friendly, helpful and caring, it’s been wonderful to know she’s so well looked after.

I have over twenty years of experience working in older people’s care. My passion is caring for and supporting older people to be as independent as possible. I believe in involving residents in all decision-making so they can live each day in the way they wish.

My father was diagnosed with dementia, so I understand how hard-hit families can be after this diagnosis. We’re here to support loved ones to realise that it’s not the end and that it’s possible to live well with dementia. That’s exactly what we support residents to do. We ensure families are involved in care planning, and loved ones are welcome to be involved in their relative’s day-to-day care if they wish to be. We work in partnership with families, and everything we do is personalised to individual needs and wishes.

I’m so proud of the Parsons Grange team. They’re very responsive and supportive – both to me, each other, the residents and their families. Together we’re determined that Parsons Grange continues to be the best care home in Reading.
