The luxurious home features a café, bar, hair and beauty salon and a cinema, as well as lounges and activity rooms for residents to enjoy whenever they wish. To ensure residents live life to the full, a lifestyle team is on hand to organise activities, entertainment and events.

Parsons Grange uses the latest in dementia-friendly design, including a dedicated dementia suite with lighting, signage and colour schemes to support residents to move around the home safely. Each en-suite bedroom is beautifully furnished, with a 24-hour nurse call system.

Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My husband entered Parsons Grange on the 12th of August. My family are very pleased with his new home, also myself. They have made my husband and myself very welcome. Everybody greets you with a smile, or asks if they can help you.

My father has been living in this home for a short time. Moved from another home into Parsons Grange. The staff are the first and most wonderful thing about Parsons Grange. Very caring and actually spend time with the residents. The home has a lovely warm atmosphere, the decor is homely and the rooms
bright and spacious. The addition of family and cinema rooms is wonderful, the gardens offer a generous outside space which is quiet and peaceful, with a shared beautiful pergola. My father is well cared for, clean and happy. The staff are professional and the management present and approachable. Even the maintenance team and reception know who you are and who your relatives are. A wonderful home from home.

All the staff are very friendly and helpful, caring - they are very welcoming. They even help my father who has mobility issues - when seeing his wife - the feeling when you walk in is very welcoming and relaxed. Thank you all.

Our family has been part of Parsons Grange for the last three years. My father received palliative care here. He was cared for with dignity right up until the end. My mother is now a resident receiving care for dementia. Lovely, friendly, caring staff. Always a warm welcome.

I visited my friend and we had a lovely afternoon listening to a ukulele band outside in the garden. The staff were outside also encouraging all the residents to join in, which they did. A very caring, inclusive residence where all are encouraged to take part in any way possible.

Boat trip which was a resident which from my mum was one of 5 residents on the trip. There were some issues getting 4 wheelchair users and their wheelchairs on the minibus, but everything else went smoothly, including getting on and off the boat. The staff were friendly and attentive as were the boat
crew. All the residents including my mum enjoyed themselves. Trip organised by two staff members in particular with another staff member as attending care.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

I have over twenty years of experience working in older people’s care. My passion is caring for and supporting older people to be as independent as possible. I believe in involving residents in all decision-making so they can live each day in the way they wish.


My father was diagnosed with dementia, so I understand how hard-hit families can be after this diagnosis. We’re here to support loved ones to realise that it’s not the end and that it’s possible to live well with dementia. That’s exactly what we support residents to do. We ensure families are involved in care planning, and loved ones are welcome to be involved in their relative’s day-to-day care if they wish to be. We work in partnership with families, and everything we do is personalised to individual needs and wishes. 


I’m so proud of the Parsons Grange team. They’re very responsive and supportive – both to me, each other, the residents and their families. Together we’re determined that Parsons Grange continues to be the best care home in Reading.
