The skilled team at Parsons Grange, a purpose-built care home in Shinfield, provides high-quality residential, nursing and dementia care that is tailored to individuals' needs and wishes.

The luxurious home features a café, bar, hair and beauty salon and a cinema, as well as lounges and activity rooms for residents to enjoy whenever they wish. To ensure residents live life to the full, a lifestyle team is on hand to organise activities, entertainment and events.

Parsons Grange uses the latest in dementia-friendly design, including a dedicated dementia suite with lighting, signage and colour schemes to support residents to move around the home safely. Each en-suite bedroom is beautifully furnished, with a 24-hour nurse call system.

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Dad is happy here at Parsons Grange he is calm and well looked after. All of the staff know him and his needs and are not only professional but friendly and very caring. The activities are good and varied and dad joins in. He really responds to everyone's happy smiley faces. The home itself is very

There is a real homely feel at Parson's Grange. The home offers lots of options for activities for the residents and feels like a hotel/holiday experience. Having worked in other homes, this is somewhere I would recommend to others.

My mother-in-law has been in Parsons Grange for 10 months now. Took a while for her to settle in but she is now embracing all the lovely activities that are available. The home is very clean and bright with a modern decor. When you arrive to visit you are greeted by the lovely welcoming receptionists.
All of the staff are kind and caring and will always listen if you have any issues. The menu choice for meals are varied and is excellent. The coffee shop for residents and relatives is a lovely area to sit and chat. The entertainment they provide both inside and outside in the garden is wonderful. Keep up the good work.

Parsons Grange always strive to support their residence. They listen to concerns and respond quickly. My Mum is happy with the care she receives and the food is good and plentiful. There is continuity of care with the key members of staff around Mum which we feel is so important to the understanding

The home has a wonderful family feel, very welcoming. The care and nursing team take time to understand mum's needs and always responsive to any concerns. The customer relationship manager is

Lovely friendly atmosphere with a feeling of a hotel and not a care home. All the staff are professionally and caring. Insuring the comfort of the residents at all times. Excellent care home, standards are very high food is amazing I can rest assured know my mother is safe warm and well cared for both day and night any medical needs are met straight away due to a nurse on duty cannot recommend parsons grange enough.

Dad, who has Alzheimer's, came to Parson's Grange for a two week respite stay. From the moment we arrived it was clear that he was in good hands. Everyone was expecting him and welcomed him warmly, having in advance taken the time to learn about him so they could chat about his interests from the start.
The
staff, who cared for him were brilliant. They were kind, patient and Dad absolutely felt that their warmth was genuine. Visits were warmly welcomed but the staff also knew how important it was for us to take a break too. When we left him after our visits, the staff intuitively knew that he would need some extra TLC and got him involved in activities. Dad, fully enjoyed the different activities on offer and it was great to have access to photos showing us what he was up to. This put our mind at rest too. We highly recommend Parson's Grange and will be back, in the not too distant future.

Our Nan has lived at Parsons Grange for a year now. She is so well looked after by genuinely caring staff and we all feel part of the Parsons family. We have the confidence that she's happy and comfortable and love the many activities and events that keep her engaged and stimulated. We recently celebrated
Nanny's 91st birthday which was kindly hosted by Parsons Grange and a wonderful time was had by all.

My dad has been in Parsons Grange since July 24 now and we had reservations about him going into a home and how he and the family would cope, but the staff have been excellent and have made this journey smooth and comfortable for everyone involved. Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

I have over twenty years of experience working in older people’s care. My passion is caring for and supporting older people to be as independent as possible. I believe in involving residents in all decision-making so they can live each day in the way they wish.


My father was diagnosed with dementia, so I understand how hard-hit families can be after this diagnosis. We’re here to support loved ones to realise that it’s not the end and that it’s possible to live well with dementia. That’s exactly what we support residents to do. We ensure families are involved in care planning, and loved ones are welcome to be involved in their relative’s day-to-day care if they wish to be. We work in partnership with families, and everything we do is personalised to individual needs and wishes. 


I’m so proud of the Parsons Grange team. They’re very responsive and supportive – both to me, each other, the residents and their families. Together we’re determined that Parsons Grange continues to be the best care home in Reading.
