Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level
of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge.
Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible. There are no additional fees

other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My Mum has been a resident of Parsons Grange for well over 2 years now. She has Alzheimer's and needs constant care. I have found all of the staff at Parsons Grange throughout this time to be very friendly, patient, caring, and welcoming. My Mum is comfortable and content in her surroundings and it
gives me great peace of mind to know she is consistently well looked after. The rooms and lounge where most of her time is spent are very nicely furnished, her room is a good size, light and airy, and with a good ensuite toilet and shower. I would have no hesitation in recommending Parsons Grange as a safe, caring place for a loved one.

A very positive initial visit. A lot of effort was made to help my neighbour to settle into the home. I was regularly contacted regarding my neighbour's care and kept informed of her situation. When visiting the staff were always polite and helpful, always willing to listen to and help my neighbour
to participate in the daily activities. My neighbour required some regular nursing care which has definitely helped improve the condition of her legs which have been a problem for some time. On a recent visit my neighbour looked extremely well and was in good spirit having just had her hair done.

Our mother had a four-month respite stay at Parsons Grange earlier this year as she was in a really bad place after the death of our father, the improvement we saw in her was almost instant and quite pronounced. The staff were so friendly and attentive that she felt right at home from the first couple
of days. Mum said that she enjoyed the food and her room was always clean and cared for.

My experience of Parsons Grange care home since August 2023 to date is the most caring home I've been in, as soon as you walk through the door the friendly atmosphere and comfort feel the air with love. I am a great supporter of Parsons Grange since I believe it has an outstanding team of very dedicated staff. I have seen staff members go above and beyond so many times and it is more than a job to them.
I think the best compliment I can give is, to me it had an atmosphere like a big extended family.
Parsons Grange is not perfect but what family is!
I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone outside of my family and it has changed my opinion of what care can be like with the right people.

From my first visit to Parsons Grange, when I turned up completely unannounced and was greeted with such a warm welcome from the Customer Relations Manager as if they had been expecting me, it just felt 'right' and I knew that it was the perfect place for my 88-year-old Mum. I had looked at multiple
other care homes in the area so had plenty to compare it to, and I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions we made. It helped that it was 100% my Mum's choice to go into a care home - she just gave me the task of choosing which one - and I am so glad that I chose Parsons Grange. The staff here are truly amazing! Nothing is too much trouble and the support, love and care that they showed to my Mum while she was a resident was second to none, not only the carers (who are fab) but the entire team. I feel privileged that my Mum got to spend time in this amazing care home surrounded by exceptional people who don't mind going the extra mile.

My mother had been a resident at the home for some 18 months and throughout that time received the very best of care. No matter was too small for the staff to take care of and every interaction with the outstanding Customer Care Manager was handled professionally, with the utmost care and concern. The
home and its facilities, including residents' rooms, communal lounges and restaurants, were excellent and I was content that my mother was receiving the very best of care. I would have no hesitation in recommending Parsons Grange to anyone seeking a safe and friendly environment for the care of a family member.

Welcomed upon arrival.
Shown up to first-floor facility. Met with our mother after her lunch. We were helped to escort her to the front lobby/cafe area.
Staff were attentive and would check in and made us feel welcomed including feeding us a late lunch.
Enjoyed the afternoon 'High Tea' event including
a piano player who impressed our mother to no end.
The overall impression is that we can rely on the care home to provide exactly what our mother requires - a safe friendly and happy place.

From our first query with PG through to moving in, we have only ever experienced professionalism, kindness, flexibility and compassion from all staff.
We were very worried about how my mother-in-law would cope with this huge change in her life and it went so much more smoothly than we could have hoped
for. That's not to say there were no bumps in the road, as that is inevitable, but communication was always open and honest and staff went above and beyond to settle her in. Nearly 6 months on, she is happy, safe and recognises that Parsons Grange is the best place for her.
It was important to the family that we were able to visit whenever we wanted and there is always a smile, coffee and cake whenever we turn up, sometimes even wine!

I first visited Parsons Grange with my mum in February, with a view to finding a lovely home that would be able to care for her while we are away in the summer. The super Customer Relations Manager showed us the excellent facilities, more akin to a hotel, and reassured my mum by answering any questions
and concerns she had. I therefore had no hesitation in contacting PG when my mum needed unplanned respite due to a deterioration in her health. My mum had a short stay with PG and the staff team were warm, welcoming and responded to her needs in order to help her settle in. Family members and friends visited at various times of the day and we always found all staff, including Management, Team Leaders, Carers, Catering, Housekeeping and Maintenance, friendly, caring and professional. I have no hesitation in recommending Parsons Grange.

From the moment I walked through the door I knew that Parsons Grange was the right place for my m. There are many criteria when searching for somewhere for your loved one to be cared for and all the boxes were ticked at Parsons Grange. My first impression was that it was a place where the staff really
cared about everyone entrusted to their care and went the extra mile whenever any of the residents needed extra support required with. My Mother spent her last 15 months at Parsons Grange and my first impression was confirmed daily - couldn’t have asked for anything more. Every stage of her condition was dealt with in an appropriate and compassionate way - Mum was happy to be there.
Additionally, it wasn’t just the way that my Mum was cared for. It was also about how relatives were welcomed, and involved in the community, events and activities. The compassion shown to us throughout such difficult times was over and above what we could ever expected and still continues after she passed.

Mum went to Parsons Grange from rehabilitation in Dec 2022 and stayed until Feb 2024. All staff were welcoming, kind and considerate. The first time I met the customer relations manager, I knew that Mum would settle well, and she did everything to make sure Mum was looked after well. Any queries were
dealt with quickly and we had no concerns. We have been blessed for her to be in such a lovely place as a long respite/resident. Mum got on well with all the staff and as a family, we felt that all the staff were genuine and really enjoyed having my mum as a resident. Mum enjoyed some of the social events such as musical movements and bingo. As well as treating Mum well, as a family we also welcomed in to join in all activities, mealtimes and social events. Mum was able to have lots of visitors and all were made welcome. When Mum left to return to her home, the staff and residents were genuinely sad to see her go and I know that they will miss her, just as she misses them.

Mum has been at Parsons Grange for over a year, all staff are helpful and friendly both to my Mum and all the family.
There are regular outings, BBQ events, animals visiting, singers and entertainment, all of which help with my mum's condition and make her happy.
The home has a family feel and very
welcoming. We would recommend Parsons Grange, Care Home.

When looking for a care home for our aunt, my brother and I weren’t sure what to expect, never having had to go down this road before and with all the horror stories we’d heard. But as soon as we walked into Parsons Grange and were welcomed by the receptionist we knew it was going to be a good experience,
just by the feel of the place and the calmness around. All the staff were so caring and friendly, all with a smile and such genuine kindness. They were like a family and our aunt soon felt part of it. It was great that there were such varied activities, including creative sessions and trips out. Our aunt is very sociable and likes to enjoy and contribute as much as she can. For the few months our aunt stayed at Parsons we knew she was being well looked after, which gave us peace of mind knowing she was in the right place.

Parsons Grange is the first care home I had visited, and immediately, walking through the door, I was impressed. The feel is more of a modern health club than a care home. But image and looks are nothing without care and compassion, and I cannot imagine anywhere surpassing these core values that are
shown at PG. All the staff are there because they care, not because it is a job. The family atmosphere created, and the way the residents are integrated into the ‘family’ of Parsons Grange could not be improved. I would have no hesitation in recommending Parsons Grange as a ‘home,’ in the truest sense of the word, where a loved one would be safe, secure, and above all loved as a valued member of the Parsons Grange community.

Today I visited a family friend for the first time who recently moved into this care home. I was most impressed with the facilities and cleanliness of the home. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The opportunity to have coffee and delicious homemade cakes in your cafe was a real plus.

Our dad received the most wonderful care at Parsons Grange and we will forever be indebted to every one of the amazing team who looked after him with such kindness, compassion and expertise. From the moment we met the Customer Relationship Manager and saw the quality of people and care first-hand, we
knew that it was the perfect home for him to live out his final time with terminal cancer. Across the excellent management team and all the exceptional carers, cleaners and chefs, everyone shares the highest professional standards with huge amounts of empathy and understanding. Our visits were always a positive experience as we were able to spend truly quality time with him in his lovely room and make the most of the excellent facilities, social spaces and gardens. We are so grateful to everyone who gave Dad such special care and kindness and would highly recommend Parsons Grange to anyone looking for the best possible home for their loved one.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2022

I have over twenty years of experience working in older people’s care. My passion is caring for and supporting older people to be as independent as possible. I believe in involving residents in all decision-making so they can live each day in the way they wish.


My father was diagnosed with dementia, so I understand how hard-hit families can be after this diagnosis. We’re here to support loved ones to realise that it’s not the end and that it’s possible to live well with dementia. That’s exactly what we support residents to do. We ensure families are involved in care planning, and loved ones are welcome to be involved in their relative’s day-to-day care if they wish to be. We work in partnership with families, and everything we do is personalised to individual needs and wishes. 


I’m so proud of the Parsons Grange team. They’re very responsive and supportive – both to me, each other, the residents and their families. Together we’re determined that Parsons Grange continues to be the best care home in Reading.
