I visited my friend and we had a lovely afternoon listening to a ukulele band outside in the garden. The staff were outside also encouraging all the residents to join in, which they did. A very caring, inclusive residence where all are encouraged to take part in any way possible.

Boat trip which was a resident which from my mum was one of 5 residents on the trip. There were some issues getting 4 wheelchair users and their wheelchairs on the minibus, but everything else went smoothly, including getting on and off the boat. The staff were friendly and attentive as were the boat crew. All the residents including my mum enjoyed themselves. Trip organised by two staff members in particular with another staff member as attending care.

As a family, we are extremely satisfied with the care our sister has been consistently receiving over several years. Although the condition she suffers is progressive we are of the opinion that the excellent care she receives at Parsons Grange has stabilised her illness. We fully recommend Parsons Grange to any family considering a similar family challenge.

There is a real homely feel at Parson's Grange. The home offers lots of options for activities for the residents and feels like a hotel/holiday experience. Having worked in other homes, this is somewhere I would recommend to others.

My mother-in-law has been in Parsons Grange for 10 months now. Took a while for her to settle in but she is now embracing all the lovely activities that are available. The home is very clean and bright with a modern decor. When you arrive to visit you are greeted by the lovely welcoming receptionists. All of the staff are kind and caring and will always listen if you have any issues. The menu choice for meals are varied and is excellent. The coffee shop for residents and relatives is a lovely area to sit and chat. The entertainment they provide both inside and outside in the garden is wonderful. Keep up the good work.

Rozina Ali
Rozina AliJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2022

I have over twenty years of experience working in older people’s care. My passion is caring for and supporting older people to be as independent as possible. I believe in involving residents in all decision-making so they can live each day in the way they wish.

My father was diagnosed with dementia, so I understand how hard-hit families can be after this diagnosis. We’re here to support loved ones to realise that it’s not the end and that it’s possible to live well with dementia. That’s exactly what we support residents to do. We ensure families are involved in care planning, and loved ones are welcome to be involved in their relative’s day-to-day care if they wish to be. We work in partnership with families, and everything we do is personalised to individual needs and wishes.

I’m so proud of the Parsons Grange team. They’re very responsive and supportive – both to me, each other, the residents and their families. Together we’re determined that Parsons Grange continues to be the best care home in Reading.
