Pine Martin Grange Care Home

My Mother has been at Pine Martin for over a year and always speaks highly of the friendly staff and wonderful food, especially the daily cakes! She particularly loves having her hair and nails done regularly. The Care Home has a sunny disposition with good sized rooms and spacious lounge areas. Looking forward to visiting again when possible. Feeling happier now the residents have started to be vaccinated. The pandemic has been handled extremely well within their doors.

I would strongly recommend Pine Martin Grange as the care given to my mother was superb.

Moving my 90-year-old Mum to a care home was the last thing I wanted but her move to Pine Martin turned out to be the best thing for her. She was reluctant at first but she soon settled in and made friends - not with the other residents but with the carers. Every time I saw her, she told me how well looked after she was and how lovely the carers were to her. She didn't use any of the facilities available, like the bar or gym, but it was so worth it for me to know how well cared for she was. Leaving her after a visit was never easy but was made really okay knowing she had such amazing care. Thanks to everyone at Pine Martin for caring for my Mum so well - it was great for her and made it so much easier for me not having to worry that she was always looked after. I'm sure the carers probably get paid very little but they are all lovely genuine people - pay them more.

My husband has regular respite care at Pine Martin Grange and has just returned home after an eight-day stay. He has been very well looked after and has had a happy time. The care being taken to protect the residents from Covid-19 is excellent, but then so is the normal day to day care. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, I shall have to postpone any more respite care but hopefully not for too long.

My Aunt stayed for two weeks and is now moving to a nursing home in Dorchester. We are very grateful for all your care and kindness.

My husband, who has Alzheimers, regards Pine Martin Grange as his second home. He stays for a week every 4 months.

My father spent the last two and a half weeks of his life at Pine Martin Grange Care Home. The end of life care given to him was excellent. Every staff member was kind, caring and courteous towards my father and the whole of our family in a very sad and difficult time for everyone. My father received the very best care and dignified end which he deserved. I highly recommend this care home.

This last remark means bell ringing from bedrooms and ages in someone to attend. Also, crockery etc is left in the bedroom for too long.

During the time of Mum's illness, my Dad was also taken ill and we decided he would become a resident to make it easier for him to visit mum. The staff could not have made this easier and despite losing his language initially, with excellent caring support he was able to return home and live independently after a few months. I recommend Pine Martin very highly indeed and remain ever grateful to the team.

I came here following major surgery for two weeks prior to returning home to resume caring for my sick wife. This rest was certainly helped. I have been helped and supported fully. The surroundings have been excellent similarly to the staff and the organisation.

Delighted with the care for my sister. She is very happy and content and extremely well cared for. All staff are kind and considerate and we have no concerns for her wellbeing.

Cannot praise the care love and attention Dad is getting at Pine Martin. We had to move him there end of last year when his dementia progressed. We were very nervous about the move but he settled in quickly and happily. The room is always clean and his clothes laundered very well. He is kept busy and enjoys the activities and days out. The food is excellent. We are always made very welcome.

Very pleasant and very caring. Everybody is friendly and supportive.

Beautiful, well organised and well planned care in a spacious, modern setting. Outside space well used and attention to detail, including listening to residents and really going the extra mile to make them feel heard.

I was resident at Pine Martin Grange for a week and was treated with the utmost courtesy, respect and friendliness by all the staff. The food was excellent and plentiful. Tea and coffee were available at any time. My room on the ground floor was well furnished and very comfortable. The en-suite was well equipped. The outside area was well planted and the lounge and library rooms were comfortable. I did not take part in any activities though my wife would have preferred me to, I was content in my lovely room.

The care and support are excellent. The staff/carers are extremely helpful, friendly and caring and the overall atmosphere of the home is welcoming and happy.

We first came across Pine Martin Grange in July when my father suddenly became unwell and was admitted to hospital. We needed somewhere quickly and local for a period of respite care. Pine Martin Grange was our first choice and very quickly became our only choice as they were so willing to help us during a very stressful period. My father moved in and eventually stayed for 6 weeks as a temporary resident. The home was brilliant, yes there were teething problems as my father settled in, but then his whole world had been turned upside down. None of his children live locally and so when we do visit it is often for a few days and lots of meals - again the home staff have made us very welcome, and are keen to make sure that our needs and those of our father are met.

Following the period of respite, our father then volunteered to become permanent, and during our frequent phone calls continues to praise the team and the environment.

All in all very friendly and obliging.
