Everything about the care and support my Mother in Law received was personalised and patient - her food needs and preferences, provision of medications, and the practical care given sensitively and thoughtfully.
The surroundings of the home, and the facilities and furnishings are to a high standard, but most importantly every member of the team we met was kind, considerate and competent.
Unfortunately my Mother in Law only lived in Wood Norton for a short period, and when she came to the end of her life the support given to us as a family was quietly attentive and really made a difference at this most difficult time.
The carers, nurses and Manager were exemplary in everything they did, and we cannot thank them enough.
Thank you for the lovely review of Wood Norton Care Home. I am so pleased the team at Wood Norton were able to provide you with the care and support required at an extremely difficult time. Thank you again for the lovely review.
Since moving to Richmond Village. Wood Norton, my mother has received the care and attention she needed to help her live a fulfilled and secure life. For us, her family, it is all we could ask for.
Thank you for the lovely review about Wood Norton Care Home we are so pleased the move to Wood Norton has enabled your mother to lead a happy, fulfilled and secure life, Many Thanks again.
The care and support of all of the staff at WN has been amazing, nothing is too much trouble and it has really helped my Mum in the transition from fiercely independent living into a new way of life. She has the security of someone always being there, 24/7, she is actively monitored to prevent further falls and is given all the assistance she needs. All in a very friendly and supportive environment. She is also able to partake in the regular activities and entertainments as and when she feels like it.
It has made a huge difference to her and to us also, relieving us of the constant worry and stress when she was on her own.
Thank you so much for the lovely review of Wood Norton Care Home. We are so pleased the transition into Wood Norton has gone smoothly and we are very pleased your Mum is enjoying Wood Norton as her new home. Thanks again for the great Review.
My mother moved to Wood Norton in September 2023, initially for respite, then residency. It took her some time to adjust, but thanks to the wonderful and caring staff, she was soon happy. Whenever there has been a medical issue, it has been dealt with urgently, and the care provided exemplary. Even when the staff are under pressure, they remain calm and considerate.
Thank for the lovely review of Wood Norton Care Home. All of the staff on the care floor and village are very fond on your Mother and we are so pleased you chose Wood Norton as her home. Thank you again for the lovely review.
The staff are incredibly kind and professional, making my dad feel at home and always loved. The facilities are very clean, warm and spacious. All the staff are attentive, professional, and genuinely care about the residents' wellbeing. Not only do they make my dad feel special but also when we visit the care and compassion we are shown is also second to none, if you are looking for a special place for a special person then I would highly recommend Wood Norton.
Thank you so much for the wonderful review about Wood Norton Care Home and the staff members that try and make everyday as happy as possible for our residents. Aimee and the team are incredibly fond of your father and we hope he feels safe and secure at Wood Norton. Many Thanks again for the great review.
Our experience with the Wood Norton home has been very good, the meals - the service- the care and attention that the carers give also the medical service the nurses provide, all of these make my wife feel cared for, also for me when visiting my wife on a daily basis. The staff look after me. My wife has had a stroke which has affected all of her left hand side, she cannot walk, she needs to be hoisted out of bed into a wheelchair or onto a bed pan, this makes it all the more difficult for her, but with the help of carers and all the staff at Wood Norton, she is managing very well.
Thank you for the lovely review of the care home at Wood Norton, we are very pleased you are happy with the care being provided to your wife and yourself. The staff look forward to your daily visits, please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything else we can do to support you. Many Thanks Again.
The care my dad has recieved has been second to none. From the moment we arrived & were greeted by a wonderful team of staff who straight away put both my dad & myself at ease & it was very apparent that he was in the right place & would be well cared for, indeed this has exceeded expectations. The staff are so thoughtful & Dad wants for nothing & they will even fetch him a glass of wine if he so wishes! This is a very hard time for our family but the atmosphere & light, clean & airy 'home' makes it a pleasure to visit.
Thank you so much for the lovely review. We are so pleased we have been able to make a difficult time slightly easier for you and the family. Thank you again for choosing Wood Norton Care Home.
Almost no words that can show my gratitude to the kindness, efficiency that all of the staff gave to both my Mum and me to make us welcome on her first day at the Wood Norton. They had everything ready for her arrival, well aware of the medication she requires, made sure everything was perfect. As it was VE Day there was a party for the residents (with special entertainers for the event), They let Mum settle into her new beautiful environment, fed her then asked if she would like to join in with the celebrations - well she did and my last look at her before I left to go home was Mum included in a round table with others - she was singing - what more could you ask for - this Nursing Homes is remarkable & the staff should receive every accolade - thank you
Thank you so much for the very kind review, our staff at Wood Norton aim for every resident to enjoy all aspects of life and we are so pleased that the first day which can sometimes be very difficult was a very happy one. Many Thanks again for the kind review which will be shared with the whole team. kind Regards Head of care
We cannot thank everyone at Wood Norton enough, and that goes for staff in every function and at every level. At what are difficult times they are caring and fully understand the situation / issues involved.
Many thanks to everyone.
Thank you so much for the lovely review of Wood Norton Care Home, we are so pleased we have managed to make the transition from assisted living to the care home as smooth as possible and ensure that Mum & Dad still have as much quality time together as possible. Many Thanks & Kind Regards.
The team liaise with local doctors practices, occupational and physiotherapists. They have organised hospital transport and provided additional equipment as required.
Staff are on call 24/7 and are kind, helpful, considerate, friendly and caring. They encourage mum to join in with activities both on the care floor and within the village generally.
The food is extremely good, there are always three choices for lunch, and the vegetarian option is appetising and appealing- so much so that our father often joins her for lunch!
Our parents are going to remain at Richmond Village in one of the assisted living suites where mum will have the benefit of domiciliary care in a caring and safe environment.
Thank you so much for the comprehensive and lovely review of Wood Norton Care Home, we have really enjoyed having the privilege to provide care and support to your mother and are very pleased they have chosen to stay with us here within Wood Norton Richmond Villages within an assisted living apartment. Many Thanks Again from all the team here, Kind Regards
I was grateful that they took her as we were desperate but I would think twice if she needed to go back into the care wing.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, I am sorry we were not able to meet all of your expectations here at Wood Norton, I am very pleased we were able to support you at such short notice within an emergency and very pleased Mum was able to stay with us for over a month within one of our assisted living apartments here at Wood Norton. Kind Regards James.
After a short stay in hospital, Dad was unable to return to his suite in assisted living at Wood Norton, so he moved onto the care floor for palliative care. Hanbury staff looked after Dad very well for the final few weeks of his life, in a warm, caring, and friendly environment.
Thank you so much for the lovely review of Wood Norton and the wonderful staff members we have. We hope we were able to make a very difficult time as comfortable as it could be. Many thanks again -James Culley
The environment was homely and relaxing, providing the perfect place to rest and recuperate. The care team was second to none, nothing was too much trouble. I observed many interactions between Mum and the staff, who were always friendly and respectful.
Mum left Wood Norton's Care Floor a much stronger person than when she arrived. We are very grateful to all the staff who helped her recover.
Thank you so much for the lovely review, we are so pleased the respite stay at Wood Norton provided the foundation for a smooth transition back home. Kind Regards.
She was looked after so well, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. They treated her as an individual and at no time did she feel their schedule was more important than she was.
Her room was immaculate, cleaned daily, and bright and airy.
The food was appetising, piping hot, beautifully presented, and very tasty. To begin with, she wasn't eating much so the kitchen made her an individual plate to suit her taste on the day.
She definitely recovered very well and rebuilt her confidence.
She is living independently back at home.
I would strongly recommend WN for any care requirements.
Thank you so much for the lovely review, we are so pleased the respite stay at Wood Norton was successful and enjoyable and provided the foundation for a smooth transition back to independent living at home. Kind Regards.
We cannot praise Hanbury Floor staff highly enough. Their care was second to none. The cleanliness was excellent. My Uncle's stay here was a home from home once my Auntie could no longer care for him at their home.
Thank you so much for the lovely review about Wood Norton and our Nursing and Residential Suite Hanbury. All of us at Wood Norton were so pleased to have met you all and been able to provide care when needed. Thanks again for the lovely review. - Care Home Manager
The staff are very kind and caring and are always here for me, the nurses and manager are very good.
Thank you very much for the lovely review of Wood Norton Care Home, it is so pleasing to read your lovely comments—many thanks.
All staff from nurses and carers to cleaners, hosts, receptionists and administrators, were kind, caring and very respectful. All are very in tune to the needs of residents and families.
Mum spent her last few months there, where she was treated with compassion and dignity, until she sadly, peacefully passed away.
Thank you very much for the lovely review, it is very pleasing to hear of your experience at Wood Norton and the care and attention that was received. Many Thanks again.
Following an abdominal operation in hospital, I was cared for on 'Hanbury' by a wonderfully experienced team. It made such a difference to my recovery having a lovely room with a beautiful outlook across fields and woodland, and to have thoughtfully appointed wet room as well as adjustable bed. All the staff were delightful, kind, thoughtful and seeing that, was needed to help me. I recognise that their care speeded up my recovery from the operation.
Thank you for the lovely review of Wood Norton Care Home, we are very pleased you enjoyed your respite stay and that it contributed to a positive period of recovery following your operation.
Lack of care! The employees are just doing a job in my opinion. Have been told lots of false truths about my Mother's care in the time she has been there.
My experience with the wonderful team on Hanbury care unit was such a positive one, despite the tragic circumstances, when my Mum spent four weeks there at the end of her life. I was anxious to find the best nursing home for her needs and know I absolutely made the right choice. I was impressed by the beautiful decor, cleanliness and fresh smell of the entire facility. The managers, nursing and care staff could not have been more attentive - checking on Mum and I frequently and showering her with love and kindness. The nurses were always willing to answer questions or address my concerns about her condition and they never made me feel like a nuisance. They spent time getting to know us and updated me daily on how she was doing. Mum could not talk but I knew from the way her face would light up with a big smile when she was with the staff that she felt safe and cared for. As she approached the very end of her life I was allowed to stay and the staff were so supportive and respectful. I 100% recommended them.
Many thanks for the wonderful review of Wood Norton Care Home and the team of staff who strive to ensure all residents are cared for to the highest standards. The team were so very fond of Mum, she made a huge impression on us whilst being cared for at Wood Norton. Many thanks again for the very kind review.
