Walking into Sandbanks is like walking into one big family home. The staff and residents are all amazing. My mother-in-law has been here a few years now and has settled here so much and has great banter with the staff. Well done, team Sandbanks, amazing staff.

My wife is a resident of Sand Banks Care Home. The care and attention she receives is absolutely excellent. The management, staff, cleaners, etc, are first class, and everyone is pleasant, understanding and professional in their duties. They are extremely busy at times and attend to my wife's needs as quickly as possible. I know everybody is professional in their attention, service and understanding at the care home, from management and all the staff. Excellent - 100% satisfaction.

His mother and I stayed with him every night for his final week, and we were showered with affection, food and everything we needed to be comfortable... we were amazed. I would like to praise two carers, in particular... which I will do personally, but to be fair, all the staff were wonderful, and I will never forget what they did for my son. I honestly think this care home should be rated outstanding.

My mam was a resident at Sandbanks for four years until she passed in April this year. The staff are all so thoughtful, kind and caring. They were brilliant with my mam, who could be stubborn at times. Always made sure she was happy and comfortable, and she was. When she passed, it was made as loving, comfortable and caring for Mam, myself and family members. I thank everyone for their help and support during Mam's stay.

My auntie is a long-term resident at Sand Banks Care Centre, and throughout her stay, we have seen multiple managers come and go, and by far, the previous manager and the current home manager are amazing; she is all about person-centred care and what is most important to residents. She makes sure that every resident's needs are met; she is amazing with our family and extremely supportive. The vast majority of staff go above and beyond to make my auntie happy they supported her throughout Covid-19 when she could not have any visitors, and they became her family when she couldn't see us. They try to encourage her own independence as much as she will allow them to. I believe that Sand Banks would benefit from its own minibus where they can take residents out for day trips, and this would help the residents to socialise more and encourage them in activities.

Mum was extremely well cared for during her stay at Sand Banks Care Centre. Mum had very specific needs, which were all handled with great care, compassion and kindness. All of the staff were very professional, helpful and kind both to Mum and visiting relatives. Cleanliness and Covid-19 measures were very impressive.

The staff have been great since my mother-in-law has moved here; she is deaf and lip-reads. The care home has made every effort to communicate with her; staff have shared the skills in sign language and used flashcards if needed. I find the care home clean and well organised.

Since being moved to Sandbanks Care Home a few weeks ago, Dad has settled in well. The manager kept me informed throughout the moving process, and the nurses and carers have worked hard to make Dad feel at home within a 'new family' environment. There is lots of room both in his room and the corridors, which allows him some independence when in his wheelchair. The views of the gardens from his room are lovely. Various social activities allow him to join in with the other residents when he wishes to. I have been kept informed by the Nursing staff of any concerns and have always found the staff welcoming, caring, and professional. It gives me peace of mind knowing that Dad is safe, happy, and well cared for.

I would just like to say a big thumbs up to all your staff. The care you have given to my mother is excellent. I know she can be awkward, but your staff always go out of their way to do the best for her. Let's all hope we can get to visit soon, but till then, keep up your fantastic care; it is really appreciated.

Sandbanks is a wonderful care home. They have been exemplary in caring for my father for over six years now. The staff and wellbeing team are fantastic. They have worked tirelessly throughout Covid, and myself and my family can’t thank them enough.

We will have no hesitation to recommend Sandbanks to anyone who may ask.

He arrived on Friday last week and was made a fuss of by the lovely staff, and to my astonishment, after 7-weeks of being so unsettled and confused, he has settled in the first day. He is loving his stay, and l hope this continues. Thanks to everyone at Sandbanks for the welcome he has had.

I would like to thank all, past and present, staff for caring for my mother in her twilight years.

Just before Christmas, we sadly needed urgent respite care for my dad. Before he was admitted, the manager made a massive effort to find out as much as he could to help my dad, not just the factual information required but to find out who my dad was as a person, what he liked, what he didn’t, ways to engage him, who/what they could talk about with him etc. I appreciated this greatly. For our family, it’s been a heartbreaking time, but I can honestly say that without the care, compassion and love of staff at the home, it would have been worse. I feel my dad is well looked after, he’s treated with respect, dignity, kindness and professionalism. When I’ve lost my way, they’ve picked me back up again, they never judge, they always notice, and they bring light back to those darkest moments. Staff have taken the time and effort to really understand my dad; my dad can be very unpredictable, but they respond to every situation with calmness and genuine empathy. Thank you.

As a family, we are all so grateful to all the staff who have supported her and us during the difficult Covid times.

It is now coming up 6-years since my mother became a Sandbanks resident. In that time, I have been regularly updated and consulted with her needs. She is a far healthier and a happier woman now than before she went in 6-years ago; this is undoubtedly down to all of the staff care in that time. It is due to those carers and staff that I can write this now after all those years as it has been a "lifesaver". I can not thank or praise the team enough for this. I have not scored the categories lightly; these are from my observations etc.
