Sand Banks is a beautiful well run home. The building is light and airy, and resident's rooms excellent. The staff is helpful and caring and the daily activities are excellent. Best home in Redcar.

My father has been in a number of care homes over the past 4 1/2 years and Sandbanks is by far the best in every way. I know he is being well cared for by trusted and 100% committed, professional carers. The activities coordinators are particularly outstanding and work tirelessly to bring joy and enrichment to the residents. The staff are very approachable and empathetic. Thank you to the whole team for outstanding work.

Since March Sand Banks has been in lockdown. As you will appreciate a worrying time for relatives of residents.
From day 1 the staff have been marvellous. They have gone above and beyond on their care.
We are able to speak daily to our relatives via mobile phones. Sometimes via facetime.
We are able to talk to the Nursing staff if needed.
The whole experience eased our worries and lessened the pressure.
The entertainment staff have helped with keeping the residents entertained.
They have given the gentlemen and ladies makeovers.
There has certainly been no neglect at all.
The staff have even shown respect by lining up outside when a residents cortege has passed by.
All in all l for one am thankful that as a family we chose Sandbanks for my Mam.

THANKYOU

I would recommend this care home to anyone. My mam has been in nearly a year and I find it a very caring home. The staff are lovely, the care that my mam has received is excellent and the staff that do the entertainment for residents are brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

I can not thank all the staff enough at Sandbanks. My mom has resided there for many years. She is so happy and content. Everyone treats her like shes their Mom always ready with a kiss and cuddle. Recently my Moms circumstances changed dramatically and she has gone into nursing. Mom has recovered remarkably it's unbelievable. I believe its the dedication, caring and professionalism of all the staff that has enabled her to get to where she is. Honestly, I am truly grateful to each and every one of them. Thank you.

Excellent care home where the staff really do care for their residents. With the current lockdown conditions, the staff have gone above and beyond their normal duties to ensure that all the residents can have video access to their loved ones on the outside. This has been a very worrying time for my husband and I as we normally visit on a weekly basis and mum in law does not understand why we cannot visit so being able to see her on the video has been very much appreciated. The care home facilities are wonderful with access to a lovely garden which the residents can enjoy and, if they wish, assist the gardeners. The care home is exceptionally well managed and there are daily activities organised by a wonderful team of the entertainment staff. The residents can be seen laughing and singing and generally getting involved in the activities and they do have a lot of fun and games. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this care home to friends and family - thank you all for your care.

My Mother has been in Sand Banks since January. Having moved her from another care home, I would like to say a big "Thank You" to all the staff and management for all the amazing work you are all doing to keep the residents safe during the current situation.
I have found on each visit exceptional care is given to all residents.
The hygiene standards are very high, the staff are very friendly, and the activities team are just amazing; watching the daily video's on social media warms my heart seeing the residents happy faces.
My mother is always clean and dressed well her room is always clean.

I am so happy that I moved my Mother into what I feel is one of the best care homes.

Very polite and friendly staff. They look after my dad so well. He always seems happy and content and I get regular updates, photos and videos of him taking part in activities, joking around and smiling. The Activities Co-ordinators are great. The home is always spotlessly clean, smells fresh and is very nicely decorated. Everyone is well looked after.

Very friendly staff offering a high quality of care and lots of fun activities to keep the residents motivated and involved.

The rooms are spacious, and the level of hygiene is excellent. Given the current lockdown where we are unable to visit our relatives, every effort is being made to ensure we can maintain contact and updates on health and wellbeing. The staff are doing a tremendous job.

When I visit my father he is always tastefully dressed, clean and tidy.
When resting attention is taken to ensure he is comfortable with appropriately placed pads to prevent sores.

The staff are always very smartly presents, pleasant and enthusiastic about their work. They are knowledgeable, welcoming and happy to discuss any ongoing issues.

My mum is a new resident in this care home. My sister and I have found the home friendly but professional. All the staff from the top to the cleaners always have a smile and a warm greeting for my mum and us as her family. The two entertainment girls work really hard to stimulate the residents organising events constantly. Very happy mum is a resident.

Since moving from hospital to Sand Banks, my aunt has received nothing but the finest care and attention. At present, my aunt is, to say the least, challenging through delirium/dementia, therefore not the easiest person to deal with. The management have been absolutely brilliant, not only with my aunt but my wife and I. The rooms are very clean, decorated and furnished to a high standard with a very bright and well designed en-suite. The food is of a high standard with everything cooked from fresh.

Having looked around many other care homes for my father, Sand Banks, without any question stood out as the place to choose for him to move to. The staff are so welcoming, caring and professional. They made our decision easier and the transition has gone smoothly making my fathers life so much better. He is particularly happy with the lovely food at meal times and enjoys chatting with all the staff. Sand Banks Care Centre is everything we hoped it would be and more for Dad's new home.
