Mum moved into the Callywhite two years ago in February 2022 and was made to feel like she was at home from day one by all the staff and other residents. All the way through her time at The Callywhite, she was cared for and loved by the staff, and nothing was too much trouble for them when caring for her.

We cannot thank them enough for the support that they provided to Mum and ourselves and would highly recommend The Callywhite to anybody.

After a couple of respite visits, mum moved in as a full-time resident and seems to have settled in nicely. All of the staff are kind, caring and helpful. If there is something that mum doesn't fancy eating, there always seem to be other options available. Her room is nice with a large bathroom. There are regular activities planned throughout the week from dog visits to singers to playing dominoes and doing crafts.

Mum, has now been with the care home for several months and has settled in well, the home is well kept, all the staff are kind and courteous and she is being well looked after in a safe and caring environment. Nothing appears to be much trouble and as a family, we're grateful to the home for all the support we've received in what has been a difficult time. Thank you.

Very happy with the care mum gets from all the staff at Callywhite. Staff are approachable, helpful and very caring, showing utmost respect and care at all times. The staff are always happy to help with any questions or worries regarding mum and her care. It’s reassuring knowing mum is safe and cared for 24/7 and everyone goes above and beyond to help in any way possible at all times. Everyone is friendly which makes all the difference too, overall, I am highly satisfied with Callywhite Care Home. Highly recommended. Residents are encouraged with crafting activities, and great entertainment on a regular basis. For residents and families, alike, bedrooms are very nice, getting cleaned on a daily basis, and laundry is done on-site. Choice of 2 meals at lunchtime, cooked breakfast, drinks and biscuits throughout the day between meals. If I had any negativity it’s that the carpet in the lounge needs replacing, and the fabric chairs too, otherwise a lovely care home. Happy for mum to be there.

Mum was only with you for a few short weeks but in that time she was cared for with kindness, respect and sensitivity. She told us in her first week " they are very kind here you know". This was a great re-assurance to us as was the friendly caring atmosphere that we always experienced when visited. As Mum needed to be cared for in a home during the last few weeks of her life we are very pleased she was in Callywhite.

The Callywhite Care Home looked after my Mother from December 2023 to February 2024. From the very first visit until mum’s passing away, all of the staff there treated mum, myself and all mum’s relatives with the utmost respect and empathy. By all of the staff I mean everyone, cleaning staff, catering staff, activity coordinators, carers and management. The atmosphere in the home was that of one large family. Mum was feisty, and the gentleness, humour and positivity in The Callywhite meant that mum felt very much at home. We all needed a lot of help and understanding over the period that mum was in The Callywhite, and this was provided proactively and empathetically. We cannot thank you all enough.

It was the autumn of 2022, my husband and I were looking for a care home in the area to accommodate my mum with dementia. After checking out 4 in the Dronfield region, Callywhite Care Home was modern and had comfortable bedrooms. Mum moved into the home just before Christmas 2022. A

wrenching experience for Mum and the family, but made easier by the caring staff. Mum is very happy, thanks to the home manager and all staff.

My mum has advanced dementia and has been a resident at the care home for a year. I take great comfort from the fact that Mum is being looked after extremely well by the excellent care staff. She's always clean, treated with dignity and the staff are very friendly, caring and available to talk to. The home is nicely decorated, clean and welcoming. I am also kept informed of Mum's progress between visits. Having viewed many care homes in the past, I feel such relief that Mum is being cared for at this one. I would highly recommend The Callywhite.

My mum went into The Callywhite Care Home in March 2020, just when Covid hit the UK.
During the time Mum has been a resident I have been so impressed with her care. She is happy and settled. The carers are wonderful and treat her with such kindness, care and respect at all times. They are always approachable and happy to answer any concerns. Mum is always clean and well-presented and enjoys having her hair done at the salon.
The care home has a brilliant activities team who ensure that there are so many events and activities taking place to keep the residents interested and engaged which are adapted as required to ensure they can be accessed by all the residents.
The home is newly decorated, clean and comfortable. Mum's room is always spotless. Meals are varied and home cooked.
The home manager is professional, caring, supportive and always happy to chat over any concerns and if required notify the doctor or outside services.

I would happily recommend The Callywhite.

My Mum sadly had to go into care in September 2022 following the passing of my father. What was a very difficult time was made all that easier, through the help and kindness of all the staff at The Callywhite Care Home. They not only helped my Mum to settle a lot quicker than we anticipated, but they also supported my self and my sister during this painful time. 6 months on and my Mum is really settled and now participates in activities she would never had done before. Myself and my sister are both completely at ease knowing she has the help and care she needs. Thank you Callywhite!

My mum has dementia and started living at Callywhite, following some falls and a stay in hospital. Unfortunately, Mum's health deteriorated and she passed away after five weeks. The level of care, respect and dignity all the staff showed Mum was amazing and really made a difference to our family, particularly towards the end. We are sad Mum wasn't around longer to enjoy life at The Callywhite but would highly recommend it.

Mum was sadly in your care for only the last five weeks of her life but she received 100 per cent totally professional care. I cannot think of one thing we would change. The facilities, rooms and management, but most importantly, the care were incredible to not only Mum but to her family too. So sad Mum couldn't have been there longer, she would have loved it. Thank you!

My mother-in-law has resided here for three years. During that time she has been cared for by all members of staff to the highest standard. As family members we have been made welcome and supported by all the staff at The Callywhite Care Home. All members of the staff at Callywhite have been friendly supportive and caring to my mother-in-law. I would recommend Callywhite very highly to others.

Mum has been in Callywhire for over three years with dementia. Over the last three months her condition has deteriorated, at present she is at end of life. At all times the care has been excellent but as we approach this sad time words cannot express the love and support all staff and management have shown Mum. she is in the best place with the best care. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Callywhite, my only complaint is the staff and manager don't get the credit they deserve!

My mum has been a resident at The Callywhite Care Home for three years, in this time all the staff have shown love, care and nothing has been too much trouble. During Covid times the staff took videos of my mum happy and dancing with staff and sent them to us showing how happy she was. The staff treat the residents like family. I wouldn't hesitate in moving a member of my family into Callywhite.

Nice care home for my Grandmother who had to sell her house for the funding at this place, which must charge top end for their services.
My grandmother's money has drastically been reduced to next to nothing given the fact she has been paying the care home for almost six years now. This month I managed to seek some extra funding to help with her extraordinarily large top-up fee.
Guess what, the care home called me today and explained that her care is going to rise again by an extra 34 pound a week.
How much does the management really think is realistically affordable when they only get a pension.
The price of this care home must be one of the highest in the land.
Moving my grandmother to a cheaper home is not an option due to her age.

She will surely be bled dry when the end comes by this company.

Having looked at several care homes for our elderly relative with dementia, Callywhite stood out as well set up with light, airy rooms and wide corridors. No dark overhanging trees. Welcoming and knowledgeable staff with an outstandingly helpful and approachable manager. This was passed down to all the staff who were all excellent. Happy to be rung up for progress reports and excellent in approach to the latter days. Fully and unreservedly recommended.

We cannot recommend this care home enough. It is excellent and the staff go above and beyond their duties. Mum's last few weeks were full of laughter and enjoyment. She was well looked after and ate extremely well. The staff are so friendly and helpful and kept us informed at all times. The place was very clean and tidy. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Callywhite for your relatives. It is a lovely place and again the staff are lovely.

The Callywhite is a wonderful caring home where all residents are treated like family members, with compassion, care and dignity by the amazing staff who go "above and beyond" when needed.

Every aspect of my sisters care and wellbeing is well managed, and we are kept informed of any changes that occur. The food provided looks appetising and nutritious, and the afternoon cakes are fab! Activities are provided most days with something to suit all tastes and interests, friends and family are encouraged to join in (outside coronavirus times). I have been to some lovely events in the past and look forward to being able to go again after the pandemic is over.

We, as a family, know my sister is in the best possible place with the knowledge that she is not only safe but very well cared for too. Well done, and a very big thank you to each and every member of staff.
