My wife's uncle Cliff has been staying at the care home since January and the care, facilities & staff are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble and when we visit we are made to feel very welcome by the staff. They have regular activities for the residents and even have a little coffee shop on the ground floor where the residents and visitors can meet for a drink and a slice of cake.
It's so great to see Cliff being so well looked after and I would 100% recommend this care home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. It is wonderful to know that you have found the care, facilities, and support provided by our team to be excellent. Our staff work hard to create a warm, welcoming environment for both residents and their families, so your kind...
I call in at Fleet on a regular basis and have always found the reception staff especially very helpful and cheerful.
Thank you for your kind comments. We are delighted to hear that you have consistently found our reception team to be helpful and cheerful. We will be sure to share your feedback with them, as recognition like this means a great deal. Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your positive experience at Fleet.
My uncle, for whom I have LPA for has been a resident of The Fleet for almost 12 months. Sadly his rate of decline due to his Alzheimer's makes each day different.
The McBride floor, dedicated to Dementia and Alzheimer's have to be congratulated on how they handle his ever changing moods and needs. No two days are the same and through their care and commitment they bring a sense of calm to his troubled mind.
I take my hat of to the team who care for him, they give him the best quality of care each day to ensure he feels safe and comfortable, even when his mind tells him otherwise.
I also understand that some days he hasn't had a shave, had a shower, but also know that if he refuses to do any of these things then its not up to the team to force him, its for them to show compassion and care. within a day or two hes back to accepting care again, thanks to the leadership from Sarah.
Thank you!
Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. We are truly grateful for your kind words and are pleased to hear that your uncle feels safe and supported at The Fleet. Living with Alzheimer's can bring many challenges, and we are proud of the McBride team for providing...
Choosing a care home for a loved one with Alzheimer's is one of the hardest decisions a family can make, but from the moment we stepped The Fleet, we knew we had found a very special place. The team here doesn't just provide exceptional medical and physical care; they genuinely understand the nuances of memory loss. They treat every resident with immense dignity, patience, and a deep respect for who they are and who they have always been. Here are a few things that makes the home stand out: Exceptional Staff: The caregivers, nurses, and higher members are nothing short of angels. They are remarkably patient, always greeting residents with warm smiles, gentle touches, and a calming presence that works wonders during moments of confusion. Thoughtful Environment: The layout is beautifully designed to be safe, easy to navigate, and soothing. It feels like a warm, vibrant home rather than a facility. The list is endless. A home away from Home.
Thank you for your wonderful review and for placing your trust in The Fleet to care for your loved one. We understand how difficult the journey with Alzheimer's can be for families, and it means so much to know that you feel supported by our team. Your kind words about our staff, environment, and...
Very kind and caring atmosphere. The staff are excellent and food is very good. and different tastes are catered for.
It is wonderful to hear that you rate our catering team so highly....
The Fleet stands out on all levels. The environment is lovely, always clean and comfortable. Staff are so genuinely friendly and caring and the care and support is outstanding. It's so comforting to know my mum is being cared for so well. Its a process registering your parent into care, but The Fleet and staff here made it such an assuring process. Couldn't have asked for more.
Thank you for your wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that your experience with The Fleet has been so positive. Moving a loved one into care can be a difficult and emotional decision, so it is especially rewarding to know that our team helped make the process reassuring and supportive for...
My husband has received a high standard of care, delivered with kindness and good humour. He has had his needs dealt with appropriately. He is content, as his medication has been adjusted to make his life as comfortable and painfree as possible. All members of staff, carers, nurses and the doctor have worked together to achieve the best quality life for him. The atmosphere in all areas is friendly and supportive, and visitors of the resident are made welcome.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. We are delighted to hear that your husband is receiving the high standard of care that we strive to provide. It means a great deal to know that he is comfortable, content, and benefiting from the collaborative approach taken by our...
I visit my good friend (of 25 years) each week. Sometimes he is unshaven and unshowered and oddly dressed. I understand that he has the freedom to refuse help. I sometimes find it difficult to communicate with staff whose English is poor. Do you have a designated person assigned to be responsible for an individual? It might be helpful if the staff 'on duty' were not so often using their mobile phones. At times the noise level in the corridor is too loud. Generally the staff seem supportive and helpful.
As discussed, we support residents in a person-centred way, respecting their choices while encouraging and offering assistance with...
My dad was a very challenging resident and the staff could not have been more kind, capable and compassionate. There is a great 'team' friendly staff vibe. The building and garden are very smart and modern with a light airy feel. The food was delicious! I would not hesitate to recommend The Fleet.
It is reassuring to hear that the care provided was compassionate and supportive, particularly in what we recognise were challenging circumstances. We always strive to...
The building itself is kept spotless by the cleaners that perform a difficult task so well, and take a real pride in their work.
The food is A1. In the lounge near the entrance, there is always a supply of delicious home-made cakes along with a bean to coffee machine that visitors are invited to take advantage of.
I have visited friends in other care homes and I must say that the Fleet surpasses them all.
In conclusion, I cannot find a single thing that I feel Would improve the service and management of the Fleet.
So well done!

What a wonderful care home, friendly staff and so much to do with activities. The place is clean and tidy and lovely food. I find that the staff is excellent with the residence and nothing is too much trouble for them, the entertainment is fantastic, they always have something going on. The best care home I visit.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We're delighted to hear that you find our home welcoming, our team friendly, and our activities engaging. Keeping the environment clean, comfortable, and full of life is something we take great pride in, and it means a lot to know this is...
My mother was offered a place at the Fleet care home for respite care, but then didn't want to go back home. The facilities are a very high standard, but what stands out are the staff. There is a lovely friendly supportive atmosphere which you sense as soon as you walk in. Mum was made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The nurse manager was outstanding in looking after her and organised extra GP visits, home oxygen and complicated prescriptions which required considerable persistence. The care staff did an excellent job and were kind and thoughtful. I and my family were delighted that mum spent her last weeks in this home.
Thank you for your kind review and for taking the time to share your experience. We are very grateful for your thoughtful comments about our home, facilities and, most importantly, our team.
It means a great deal to know that your mother felt welcomed, comfortable and well supported during her...
We recently visited a friend of ours in your home and were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and friendly manager on duty that day, who gave us complimentary refreshments before seeing our friend. The staff create a homely atmosphere by being, friendly, approachable and helpful. We loved the complimentary cafe and seating area, where we could sit and talk as a group, and admire the fine art work of the residents displayed. We walked away feeling our friends were in good hands, based on our experience. We would highly recommend it. We have had a number of friends here over the years and have always found the staff kind and helpful.
It's also great to know you enjoyed the communal areas and the small touches we provide to help visits...
When my dad could no longer manage at home, I could not have wished for him to be anywhere else. He settled in and it was his home. He was treated with love and affection from everyone who looked after him. The facilities were second to none. Family birthday teas, entertainment and trips out. Spending time in the garden, helping out. I cannot thank everyone enough for all their kindness.
We're also...
The staff are so in tune with mum's needs. Highly experienced with dementia. Understanding of her pride & humility. The building is fantastic. So well planned and every conceivable aid has been implemented. Staff and residents are all calm, happy and welcoming. Its a game changer of care homes. Something like I'd expect in Sweden - that quality.
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words. It means a great deal to hear that our team is supporting your mum with the understanding, dignity, and respect she deserves-especially in recognising her pride and humility. We're also really glad the environment and aids in the home are making a...

We organised a family and friends get together for my mother in law. It was fantastic from beginning to end. Nothing was too much trouble. They provided a chicken curry with vegetarian option which was really lovely and everyone enjoyed it. We all gathered in the downstairs lounge area which was perfect. We really appreciated all the effort from the staff at the nursing home.
We're really pleased to hear the family and friends get-together went so well. It's lovely to know the downstairs lounge worked perfectly for the occasion and that everyone enjoyed the meal, including the vegetarian option.

It's as if every member of staff have formed their own little company to provide the very best possible loving care for members of their OWN family.
Whether it be reception, office admin, kitchen, cleaning, nursing, gardening, creative activities, hairdressing or maintenance, everyone is working as a team. Their professionalism, motivation and joy shine through. SO grateful.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're delighted to hear you've experienced such consistent, caring support from our whole team. Your appreciation means a lot, and we'll be sure to share your comments with all departments. Thank you for placing your trust in us.
