Valerian Court Care Home provided outstanding care for my mother, who was a resident there from December '25 to January '26. Andrei and the team consistently went over and above while looking after Mum, making her short stay at the care home a comfortable and dignified one. Mum required specialist care,
due to having a glioblastoma brain tumour, which provided it's own challenges, of which Valerian Court rose to each time. Furthermore, Andrei and the team were incredibly accommodating to family members, ensuring that we were made welcome during each visit and were always fantastic at keeping us updated with any changes in Mum's condition.

I visit my friend regularly. The home is spotlessly clean, the staff very very pleasant and kind, nothing is too much trouble. If I ever needed a care home I would love to be here.

I cannot praise this home and it's staff enough, My mother has been at this home in residential care since September 2025 , the home is and it's facilities are kept immaculately clear and are first class.
But what really makes this home are the staff, from the management,reception, carers and the nursing
staff they are all a credit to the home.
All my mother's visitors have all commented how wonderful the home is.
I would definitely recommend this home.

Twelve months ago I was faced with the unenviable and sad task of having to find Mum a safe, caring place to live. I, with my friend, visited several options locally in November 2024 and had decided that Valerian Court ticked all of the boxes and rated top of our list. We were welcomed immediately
from that first visit until Mim was admitted as a permanent resident on December 23rd. The new manager & his deputy pulled out all the stops for me (as I live in Northern Ireland) for Mum to be able to start her next journey at Valerian Court and not be alone at Christmas, for that I will be eternally grateful. Since then Mum has been cared for with a caring, respectful & professional manner at all times with additional updates provided as and when needed. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Although my father only spent 23 days at Valerian court care home (he enjoyed every minute)
From the first day he arrived he thought he was on a cruise or in a five star hotel.
The management team receptionist etc welcomed us both explaining about the activities that went on in Valerian Court and
any problems let them know.
We found all the care / medical staff we came across to be very helpful polite and showed great amount of care towards my father.
When my father passed away suddenly at the age of 97 the manager, deputy manager, and staff showed great compassion towards my wife and I for our loss.
A nice touch in reception the following day when we collected my father's belongings a framed photograph of my father was on display.
I would not hesitate to recommend Valerian Court.

I just want to say a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Valerian Court, from the management team, nurses, carers, cleaners, activity staff, chefs and receptionists for everything you did for us as a family in caring for my godmother who lost her battle with Alzheimer's last week.
The care and
dignity afforded to my godmother and us throughout her journey at Valarian was absolutely fantastic, she passed in peace and comfort. The staff were so supportive of us during her final days, doing the little touches that helped her be at peace.
We will be eternally grateful for everything you all did to make a difficult journey slightly easier.
The management team always had their door open if we needed anything and were receptive and welcoming to any suggestions.
We already miss seeing you all everyday, for a while it became our second home, such a lovely, warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Valerian Court Care Home was highly recommended to my family by a friend .
From the very start of the process we were made to feel very welcome by the Manager , we had a look around prior to my Mother becoming a resident and found the Staff and Nurses very helpful and courteous.
The home is very
clean and tidy and the rooms spacious.
The facilities are excellent, there is an abundance of activities for the residents 7
days a week , morning and afternoon.
The food is also excellent, a good and nutritional varied menu
It's nice to know , my Mother is in a place that she is cared for by kind , trusted staff that
passionate about their jobs .
I would highly recommend this care home and it totally justifies a 5 Star review

Valerian Court feels more like a luxury hotel than a care home, but the comfort and amenities are underpinned by staff who are skilled, capable and unfailing kind. My mum has been treated with compassion, encouragement and dignity. It was a great relief to have qualified staff close at hand from the
nursing team. Now, she is safe and comfortable so I am at ease. Her room is lovely, fitted out with plenty of storage and every comfort, including an ensuite wet room. A wide range of enriching and enjoyable activities are available as well as the in house hair salon, beautician and hand made cakes in the coffee lounge. The manager is very diligent, accessible and knowledgeable, and he puts residents, family and staff at ease with his warm manner. This ethos permeates throughout VC creating a very positive, calm atmosphere where everyone strives for excellence.

As a family we were very worried about moving mum to a care home but we had exceeded what we could do to look after mum well at home. The team at the Valerian have been sensitive, supportive to the whole family, the level of personal care as well as medical support has been great, hugely beneficial
for mum's wellbeing and so much effort is put into ensuring there is a calendar of activities which engages everyone and helps to build friendships. The staff have sourced new equipment when needed to help ensure mum is able to participate as much as possible. The staff take time to chat. And all seem to genuinely enjoy their job. There is a lovely atmosphere in the home. We enjoy the roof terrace and socialising up there, it really doesn't feel like a care home at times. Cinema, hairdressers, nail bar. I would highly recommend.

My father spent his last few weeks at Valerian Court. Whenever I visited, I found great care being delivered with empathy and kindness. Having 24hr nursing care really helped to ensure that any health/pain issues could be dealt with promptly. There is a friendly, happy atmosphere in this home, with
the sound of laughter echoing down the corridors. During his time with them the staff helped organise a big family celebration. This was really memorable for the whole family, and their efforts created memories for our family to treasure. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Valerian Court is so much more than a 'Care Home' it's staff and particularly the Manager, have made such a difference to our family when mum needed to be cared for. We now feel fully supported by a team of professionals as they get to know mum, providing support and care which was something that we
couldn't do 24 hours a day. We always feel welcome when visiting and it's so nice to see the activities and participation of both staff and residents. The little touches by the chef bringing around ice lollies accompanied by a jingle on his mobile made me smile!

We brought lambs from our farm to show the residents at Valerian Court. We were made to feel very welcome by the lovely staff and residents, who seemed to enjoy the experience and be happy in their surroundings. We were struck by the warm rapport between the staff and residents and the quality of
the home in general is very good, spacious, bright and furnished to a high standard.

My mother was living at Valerian Court for a year and a half. During that time we noticed the care patience and affection she received. We were able to relax knowing her needs were more than taken care of and that she was treated with dignity. There are some great people working there and there was
always a warm welcome. So glad we found this place for mum.

Valerian Court provides excellent care for the residents, and communication with me as her visiting relative. The activities provided are inclusive and diverting. The staff are unfailingly friendly and polite, from reception, to nursing staff and carers, and the food provided is regular and for the
most part nutritious. There is no limitation on visiting hours and I always feel welcome.

My parents both had things they wanted to say
Dad who stayed at care home, said he liked the friendliness of the manager, everyone was welcoming. He enjoyed the selection of food and the choices on offer. The singing sessions were a favourite.
Mum said she thought he was well looked after and she
liked the friendliness of the staff, they were very caring. She enjoyed the entertainment especially enjoyed the saxaphone player that came in for the residents.

Everything about the care home was excellent: the care, sympathy, accommodation and environment.
The staff were so very kind and attentive.
Sadly, my wife was unable to take part in the range of activities due to her condition.
