We do our utmost to minimise the use of agency, however, sometimes staff call in not feeling well or with personal issues. Where we have to, we do try and get regular agency staff. I am glad you are happy with the care we are providing as we do try and make everyone as happy as possible.

We are obviously disappointed that you have had a negative experience. We always take all feedback very seriously.
In this case, it is often difficult to manage a family's expectations where the resident has the ability to make their own choices and decisions which we treat with respect and dignity.
The care home director personally discussed your concerns with you and your mother at the time and was disappointed that you had made the decision for your mother to be nearer your home in York, after only one week at the home, which is a very short time for any resident coming from home to be able to settle in a new environment.
We did follow up to ensure your mother was happy in her new home.
