Wood Green Residential Care Home

My husband's granny lives at Wood Green and staff have been very caring and supportive while she has lived there. Recently she wanted to move rooms and this was no trouble to the staff and management. She enjoys the entertainment and she recently went out with the activity team on a trip to the town hall to a tea dance which she really enjoyed. Thumbs up to all the staff, their job is not easy but nothing is ever a problem.

Excellent care, my daughter is well settled and quite happy.

This is a new expereince for our family having to hand over the care of our mother into the hands of a "nursing home". Mum being a new resident, is settling in slowly. The staff are very approachable and caring towards mum. We, as a family, believe communication is very important in the role of caring for mum and as a family, we only want the best care for mum.

My mother has been residing in Wood Green Care Home for a year. She settled in very well due to the patience and care of the wonderful staff. There are plenty of activities provided for the residents, which they love. Everyone is made to feel welcome and both the residents and visitors feel at home. I cannot praise the staff highly enough, they are extremely hardworking, caring, fun loving, enthusiastic and sympathetic to everyone's needs. I would highly recommend Wood Green to all who consider this care home.

This is a lovely care home in beautiful grounds - bright and modern with all the latest facilities. The care provided is very good. The care workers are mostly very kind and attentive - but at times they are under-resourced - especially on the Nursing care floor. They have a number of very demanding residents to deal with and need 'eyes in the back of their heads' to manage everyone in the lounge and keep them safe and prevent falls. Additional resources would help ensure they prevent accidents and injuries to residents who are not mobile but try to get up.

I believe there could be more sociable events for residents, especially those who are confined to a bed but still enjoy to be sociable. They are not integrated with other residents which therefore make them even more isolated which I think needs reviewing as soon as possible. More activities including outdoor facilities which would be very gratefully received from residents and families.

I would like to thank ALL the staff at Wood Green for all the support, care and kindness they all give me and my family through a very tough time. Also for all the care they give my darling husband, for the kindness and help they all shared with him. Wood Green care home 'has it all'.

I would have no problem with mum staying again and it is a lovely environment and very homely.

We are very satisfied with the care provided and this is evident in my sister's health. The staff are very caring and helpful.

Very clean building. Not usual care home smells. Friendly staff.

From the short time my sister has been in the care home, it is the best home I have ever visited. My sister is so content it is a pleasure to visit my sister. This home is so different from the last home she came from. All the staff that we have met is a pleasure to talk to and are kind to my sister. She is very content.

All 'entrance' and 'exits' very secure. Reception very informative, from what I could see everything was very clean and tidy, most patients seemed very relaxed and very well cared for. Overall everything was of a very high standard. Well done.
