Woodland Manor is situated in the charming village of Chalfont St Peter, set in beautifully landscaped gardens where residents can enjoy plenty of outdoor space. Providing expert residential, dementia, nursing and respite care 24 hours a day, the home supports individuals with wide-ranging needs.

There is an excellent choice of activities to keep mind and body active courtesy of a dedicated activities and wellbeing team, and a minibus ensures residents can enjoy regular trips and outings.

I came in for respite a couple of months ago to see if I felt I could live here as I was not coping very well at home. The answer was yes, so arrangements were set up and then on Good Friday had I had three seizures so it was a blessing I was coming in here for 24/7 care. Food is exceptional. The only
problem is lack of telephone availability.

I was made very welcome on my arrival at Woodland Manor being only the second resident to arrive. In the three months I have been here I have found the majority of the staff friendly and helpful. My caring needs have been dealt with satisfactorily although sometimes a little rushed. I am very happy
with my room and look forward to my visits from my friends and their dogs. The food is of a good standard and the service is very good, long may it continue.

My wife was looked after very well. Indeed the standard of facilities are very good and the food was prepared to her satisfaction, all the staff and management were very attentive. The only suggestion I would make is that there could be more attention given to physiotherapy.

My mother was here for 3 weeks on a re-enablement scheme following 8 weeks in hospital. The staff were fantastic and helped to restore her confidence in walking again with a frame. The food and facilities are excellent and my mother commented that she was made to feel 'like a princess'. An excellent
care home where I am certain the long term residents will be very well looked after.

Since my gran was transferred her from hospital we have been extremely happy. Firstly the cleanliness and the overall feel of Woodland Manor is to a high standard and the facilities are excellent. Staff have always been welcoming, friendly and it is clear that they care and listen to our and my grandmothers
needs, concerns etc.
The overall atmosphere is relaxing, and a very pleasant place to visit, especially as we are visiting someone we love and care about. Knowing they are being looked after in this way is very reassuring and helps us a great deal to focus on her. Thank you.

My husband stay in Woodlands Manor nursing home has been stress free and comfortable. He has received lots of attention, had a clean and beautifully appointed room with en-suite bathroom to fit all his needs. Whenever I visited with my family we were warmly welcomed by the staff who were all helpful
and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble for them. As a family we would highly recommend Woodlands to anyone.

My husband was well cared for in his two week stay to convalesce. This care home is beautifully designed and decorated in lovely colours with excellent lounges. The dining areas are really nice although the food is lacking in choice maybe because the home is so new that it is not full yet, apart from
the food we found Woodland Manor faultless.

Regarding food choice, we do our very best to make sure menus offer a variety of dishes so there is plenty to choose from. There is always a daily menu which incorporates Porthaven signature dishes. Breakfast has cold and hot choices from cereals to cooked breakfasts and for lunch, there is always a minimum of two choices for each of the three courses on offer. My client and I have been so pleased with the caring, personal help that he has received from all the staff without exception. As you walk into the home you can feel the warmth of the welcome which is reflected in all the staff, from top of the tree to the bottom. My client has been happy and contented

I am a highly motivated and compassionate individual with over 9 years of experience in the healthcare sector. I have dedicated my career to enhancing the quality of life of residents in my care and ensuring the smooth operation of the care facilities I manage. My expertise lies in managing day-to-day operations, leading a diverse team and implementing best practices to provide exceptional care and support for our residents and their loved ones.


In 2014 I began working as a healthcare assistant whilst waiting for my nursing registration, and I advanced through various roles within the company, demonstrating consistent dedication and acquiring new skills at each level.


By utilising my own experience, qualifications and personal dedication, I aim to ensure that every resident living at Woodland Manor receives the highest standard of care and enjoys living in a safe, supportive and enriching environment.
