My mother has been at the Marie Louise for the last 11 years, I have visited her 2-3 times per week over that time. I am very familiar with the staff and the running of the Home, it is for me a second home. Mum was always treated with such care, respect, dignity and courtesy. All the staff knew and understood her very well, they listened and could discuss her care at any time. The feeling of "family" dominates. Staff did lovely things with her such as singing and music, art, reading, quizzes, trips out as a group or individually, photos show Mum having a wonderful time. She and I had real affection for so many staff throughout, I won't name them all for fear of missing someone out. Her room was always clean, Mum always looked nice and her clothes well cared for. I was always welcomed - as were her other visitors. In Mums last days the staff have been tireless in her care, and so supportive to family We are incredibly lucky to have the Marie Louise House Home and staff in our lives.

In her last days it was very moving seeing all the staff visit her and showed their genuine love towards her.

My mother Sheila has been in hospital recently following a stroke. The staff at Coloma have been truly superb in welcoming her back to the home and making her feel comfortable, in very difficlut circumstances. Particular thanks to: Apollonia for visting mum in hospital and assessing her needs and discussing them with us; Napoleon for his outstanding care, including getting mum to put her teeth back in; Sharon for her gentle care despite mum being difficult; Daseline for her professionalism; tracy for co-ordination; and Steve for being a tremendous help throughout.

My mother & sister are both residents, Easy access to home & good parking. Home and gardens are beautiful and it's always a pleasure to come & visit. Hot drinks are available for visitors, Staff are very friendly and welcoming

Caring staff. Sometimes not enough on the floor. The activities are ok but my mother has only been taken out once since she moved in. She is well cared for and nicely dressed which matters to her. Her hair is done each week which is important to my mum.

Very expensive, more than other local care homes.

I had a meeting with Linda (Asst Manager) on 26/05/26 in respect of Mum's care plans. The meeting was very productive, Linda was a great help, and Mum's care plans are such that I am happy she is receiving good care.

My mum has been living at Marie Louise House for 4 years. I am very happy with care and support they have provided. I particularly want to praise the staff, for their engagement with my mum, which I believe has made my mum happy to be there.

We have spent 45 yrs together and married 44 of them and find it very difficult being apart indeed heart breaking but made a lot easier by the wonderful staff at this care home. They are superb, all depts.

The Marie Louise House has cared for my mother over the last four years. They have been wonderful with her, and she has really been very happy there. The staff are welcoming when we visit, and understand mum's needs very well. The atmosphere in the home is very good, and this is down to the great staff and the commitment they have. It's comfortable, secure, clean and bright.

In my opinion the care offered here is first class

The staff are all very friendly and welcoming on every visit. The communal areas and my dad's room are always clean and tidy. It's good that every time we have a concern about my dad, it is taken seriously and dealt with promptly. My dad has been here 3 years now and I do believe it's the best care he could receive in his condition.

We first chose Marie Louise home as first impressions from the staff was lovely, they all were smiling and a very good atmosphere was felt, the home is in beautiful grounds. The home not only supported my mother they helped the family cope with the sadness of seeing my mothers declines. They made all our visits to her so much easier. Overall we couldn't thank everyone enough.

From the friendly welcome at reception, to the professional staff, Marie Louise House provides an excellent environment for our mother. They keep us well informed about her condition and she appreciates the care received. We are very happy.

Lounge chairs a bit shabby. Food tables require some maintenance.

My wife has been at Marie Louise House since November 2025 on the Nightingale unit, as she has Alzheimer's. At Marie Louise House, the staff really care about my wife and her fellow residents. I and my family have all experienced many of the team members who go way beyond their designated roles to ensure my wife is as happy as possible, whilst being safe and healthy as she can be. Whether that is knowing her name, saying hello and asking how she is to engage her in activities. This is true whether they work in any department.

Receptionist very welcoming on my arrival every time. Carers always acknowledge me. Brothers always clean & shaved and well cared for. Good nutritional food always served.

From Tracey at reception to the carers & cleaning staff all very helpful and like a family.

Coloma Court is a caring care home that puts 'care' into its name. The staff look after all the resident's needs and provides a relaxed environment however demanding and complex are the needs of a resident. my mum has been very happy for the three and a half years that she has lived here. I could not ask anymore from the staff and management.
