My mother moved to Marie Louise House in September 2025. She settled in quickly. The staff are polite caring and treat her with dignity and respect. They listen to any concerns and do their best to address them. The home is very clean, spacious and airy. We are happy with our choice.

Rosina was admitted about ten days ago and had had some bad experience in hospital with a broken hip and Alzheimer's. She has been really well looked after and has begun to her usual happy self, which is a result of good and friendly help by all concerned. Many thanks.
Reply from Natasha Leslie, Registered Manager at Coloma CourtThank you so much for taking the time to share your kind feedback about Rosina's stay with us.
We know how distressing a hospital admission and recovery from a broken hip can be, particularly for someone living with Alzheimer's, and we are truly grateful that you trusted Coloma Court to support her during this time. It means a great deal to our whole team to hear that Rosina is beginning to feel like her usual, happy self again.
Your words reflect exactly what we strive for every day - compassionate, person-centred care delivered with kindness, dignity, and respect. I will be sure to share your lovely comments with the team, as they will be incredibly encouraged by your feedback.
Thank you again for your trust and for recognising the hard work and dedication of our staff.

Upon an initial visit, it seemed wonderful. Being a new build it ticked many boxes, you cant fault that the home is spotless, its warm, looks comfortable. Doesn't have that typical old people smell. Food all home cooked, not much choice if you didn't like either option. My grandfather being bed bound
proved to bring a whole heep of issues. He was left without his table, bed controls, a drink etc within reach, wasn't checked on for hours at a time. I come daily & raised my concerns every single time. There was (at first) only ever 2 members of staff on shift at a time so when he needed the toilet, it took both carers away leaving no carers watching anyone else. They also couldn't come if it was meal times leaving him either in dirty pads or having to hold it. When they recruited more staff this did get better. We never saw a care plan! Staff are lovely but are so stretched. If you are able bodied you are fine. Laundry staff are amazing & really care. Cleaning staff are amazing. Nikki is an Angel in disguise!
Reply from Justine Ellory, Business Development Manager at Norden HouseDear S,
Thank you so much for the wonderful feedback regarding our housekeeping team they really our angels and will pass all your comments on! We have 4 different households at Norden House and at least 3 members of staff in each household, there are times when we have sickness so we do apologise if there was a time we were short staffed for your Grandfather as you have mentioned this has been rectified.
Our robust call bell system always helps support our residents when they do need support in their room. Regarding loved ones care plan, our nurses provide our individual care plans and always reviewing the family input, however we will communicate the option to see your loved ones care plan at anytime for family thoughts and wishes. Thank you again for all your feedback. Best wishes Justine

My lovely mum passed away at Norden House in July this year. Unfortunately she was too poorly to take advantage of the wonderful facilities.
My only small concern was the night she passed away, I think the person in charge was a locum of some sort because they were unable to "call" her passing and
seemed very confused as to what should happen next.

My Mother has been in Marie Louise Home for almost a year.
I cannot fault the care shown by the care staff - they are patient, compassionate and kind especially as my Mother has deteriorated greatly in her health over the last couple of months.
The staff are always friendly and pleasant and some
in particular are exceptional without naming names. It is good that there is very little evidence of agency staff which makes it easier to get to know that staff looking after Mum.
The food is excellent and always hot and well cooked.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious enough for the needs of elderly people.
My only complaint would be the complete lack of communication from the management of the home. I have e-mailed with queries on funding which have not been replied to and there has been no official feedback to me on my Mother's health etc since she went in last year. Luckily the nursing staff make up for this shortfall.

Having seen several care homes we would not wish to put a dog in. We came across Norden House, and although further from my home than we wanted. We were immediately converted by Norden House's clean and modern environment - we found the nurses and other staff first class and the level of love and care
given to my wife really was far beyond impeccable. The care came with love!
Like Norden and it's staff during my wifes end of care me and my family the maximum of love and support. God bless you all. Bob.

I visited my grandma for her 100th Birthday and was so impressed by the effort and care staff took to make my Grandma's day special. They decorated the room, made wonderful food and one lady even wrote a poem. It must be so hard to work as carers, but despite that they went above and beyond for my grandma.
It was really touching to see how well cared for and loved she is.
Her room is also beautiful and she does activities when she is well enough .
Reply from Natasha Leslie, Registered Manager at Coloma CourtThank you, for your kind review your grandmother had a lovely day receiving the Kings letter, it was also nice to see family and friend's who had traveled far and wide to make the day special for her, it was memorable day for all involved in the preparation and all who attend, once again thank you for the review.

My mum had a sudden decline in November 2024 and went to hospital, she was unable to recover to be well enough to go home. She is currently in respite care at Coloma Court. They have been so welcoming to her, they really made her feel settled and at home and put our minds at rest. My mum is beautifully
tended to; she is clean and well dressed, her skin is creamed and looked after, she is loving the food and activities and they try their best to encourage her (no easy task) to join in everything she can. Thank you for your care and love for mum.

Overall we are pleased with care my mother received over the past few weeks, however we provided complan because she eats so little. Normally she would go through one box a week, she went through one box in 3 weeks despite frequent requests to give the complan. All staff were very friendly and caring
