When it became apparent that she was deteriorating, we were allowed to be there 24/7. The staff made sure to keep us topped up with drinks and biscuits and would reassure the whole family.
2 staff deserve commendation medals, the lady who helped with feeding, cleaning and lots more, plus the under manager. To walk in and find him talking gently to her, cutting her nails gave us confidence. And then the manager, how she gave us the time and space to say our goodbyes, cry and start our grieving was amazing. Please give everyone here a reward.

father was left by himself, got out of a secure building, fractured his elbow and with a severe head injury he found himself in a car park where thankfully a member of the public took him to the local surgery. He was taken to the hospital. It was deemed not safe to return him back to this home as he clearly was only there to take the money not to care for him.
We viewed this home before he arrived, we were told they could deal with his needs. This home they tried to charge the new home £150 to deliver! I collected them. After all of this, we have never heard from this home, even when I have tried to lodge a complaint! If you care for your family member stay away, evil!

They passed her the phone when I called, and later, when her condition deteriorated, the staff would put my calls on speaker next to her bed, so I could talk and hear her responses. Especially towards the end, it was most apparent that the staff were going the extra mile to make her final days comfortable. They were always upbeat, and always welcoming, as if they were caring for a member of their own family. Thank you for your exceptional service in caring for my Mum, and in supporting me.

and especially one member of staff, was beautiful to watch. He wasn't the easiest resident but was always treated with respect, compassion and genuine consideration. Living in the village, I visited often and was always made to feel welcome and included, nothing was too much trouble. Dad sadly passed away in February of this year but I hold some very special memories from Dad's time at The Woodlands which I will treasure forever. It genuinely felt like a home to the point that I miss my visits. Eternally grateful to all at The Woodlands.

Despite the obvious challenges of looking after the elderly, many with special needs, the staff always seemed happy. She kept me informed of all major developments with my mother's care, especially when she contracted covid 19 last November. I have no hesitation in recommending the Croft to anyone looking for a warm and caring environment for a loved one.

Prior to COVID-19 whenever I have visited my grandmother, the staff have always been very helpful and seem to genuinely care about my grandma and her wellbeing. mum. She went in early May, was very upset and with family not being able to go in we worried about her. But, the Manager and her staff were brilliant with her, especially when she was upset when we rang; they were brilliant with us and put our minds at ease. It's been 15-weeks since we saw her last, and we were able to see her for the 1st time yesterday, and it was fantastic to see her. She now loves it at The Croft and says she has been well looked after, and the food is lovely. All the staff are lovely, and they treated her as one of their own family. I cannot thank them enough for how they have looked after my mum.
