The staff are friendly and welcoming, are always able to give any updates required regarding my parent's care. Regular phone calls are received regarding care plan and we are encouraged to bring up any needs and ask any questions regarding the care in place. My parent is encouraged to join regular activities, and staff make sure to find out favourite pastimes so these can be included. The care is carried out with quiet efficiency, a chat and a smile.

All the staff in orchid care home are so caring with the residents and the visitors. Everyone speaks to you and nothing is to much for them to help.this is the best care home I have seen .I used this home when it first opened for my mother some 15yrs ago and now again for my husbands alzimers. Excellent

My husband has been in orchid for 2.5 years now and the care given by all staff is exceptional - the staff are so cheerful it helps me too. The home is very clean & tidy and the recent refurbishments have made it look very fresh. The nursing staff are very proactive and instantly responsive in an emergency. Although my husband cannot join in some activities because of his illness he can enjoy music and the activity team organise bands & singers to perform on a regular basis . A wonderful home

Orchid are great. They're really looking after my dad well and the team always have time to chat through any worries or concerns you have. It's clean, calm, and homely, and you can sense that all the staff really care. We visited a couple of homes before choosing orchid and whilst it's not cheapest, it's definitely the best around.

Mum has been a resident for several months and is extremely happy at the home. The professionalism, kindness and friendliness shown by every single member of staff is exceptional, she truly feels at home. There are lots of different activities on offer and she enjoys so many them. It's wonderful to see how much enjoyment she gets from being in the home and how safe and respected she feels, this brings such reassurance to us as a family. Anytime we visit we feel welcomed too. Mum has been a resident for many years and she is very happy; continually telling me how lovely all the staff/carers are and she really enjoys the activities & food. The management team are exceptionally knowledgeable, understanding, empathic, and not only have a listening ear when raising any minor concerns, but they do resolve very quickly. I have recommended the home to friends who's parents are also needing dementia care and will continue to do so, without hesitation.

Mum is well looked after in all respects. All the staff are so welcoming and always cheerful. They all know how mum is each day when I visit. I like to make a cup of tea for her and sit somewhere quiet for a chat. Mum tells me she is happy and feels safe.

Plenty of activities which my mum is joining in with .. all areas are excellent cooks ,laundry, carers , nurses management activity coordinators .. everyone do a fabulous job

A fabulous Father's Day meal organised by the team. The food was lovely and Beth and Jemma made sure everyone was very well looked after. So much effort and thought goes into these events that mean so much. Thankyou

Staff are caring and treat the residents respectfully. The rooms are clean and spacious with on-suite facilities. The food is plentiful, with choices to please most people. There is an excellent activities team that do their best to keep the residents active both mentally and physically.

I have been blown away by the genuine care and compassion shown by all team members at Orchid - it feels very much like a home from home and is clean and tidy with a welcoming feel. My mother is very happy and loves all the carers!

Since going into Orchid House, our father and our family have been shown nothing but kindness and understanding. It was a difficult decision for us all for dad to leave his home but the transition was made a comfortable as possible and it's lovely to see him safe and settled.

Mum's health sadly declined late last year so my brother and I visited a few local care homes to gauge which might be most suitable for mums needs. We were immediately impressed by the skills and knowledge of the Management, nursing and support team at Orchid Care, and the warmth, friendliness and care displayed by all. When deciding on a care home placement it should not just be based on the decor and facilities. Making both the resident and visiting family and friends feeling welcome and secure in a homely comfortable atmosphere is paramount and I'm pleased to say Orchid Care truly delivers in every department.
