I think the staff work so hard and always seem to treat all the residents with kindness and respect.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone looking for exceptional care for a loved one.

Father's Day pub - great idea to get dads & families together . Thanks Beth & your team for organising a lovely afternoon out in the garden on the new comfy chairs - great improvement to the garden . A fabulous Father's Day meal organised by the team. The food was lovely and Beth and Jemma made sure everyone was very well looked after. So much effort and thought goes into these events that mean so much. Thankyou

Staff are caring and treat the residents respectfully. The rooms are clean and spacious with on-suite facilities. The food is plentiful, with choices to please most people. There is an excellent activities team that do their best to keep the residents active both mentally and physically.

I have been blown away by the genuine care and compassion shown by all team members at Orchid - it feels very much like a home from home and is clean and tidy with a welcoming feel. My mother is very happy and loves all the carers!

Since going into Orchid House, our father and our family have been shown nothing but kindness and understanding. It was a difficult decision for us all for dad to leave his home but the transition was made a comfortable as possible and it's lovely to see him safe and settled.

Mum's health sadly declined late last year so my brother and I visited a few local care homes to gauge which might be most suitable for mums needs. We were immediately impressed by the skills and knowledge of the Management, nursing and support team at Orchid Care, and the warmth, friendliness and care displayed by all. When deciding on a care home placement it should not just be based on the decor and facilities. Making both the resident and visiting family and friends feeling welcome and secure in a homely comfortable atmosphere is paramount and I'm pleased to say Orchid Care truly delivers in every department.

Mum has only been in Orchid for a few weeks but from the moment we first visited we have all been made to feel so welcome by every member of staff that we meet. Everyone is very caring, friendly and approachable. She has been treated kindly, with respect and already feels at home. As a family all of this gives us great peace of mind.

The facilities are clean and well-maintained, with a good range of activities that help residents stay engaged and comfortable. Communication with families is clear and reassuring. The activity team, cater for all types of ability and interests to keep life interesting and fulfilling for residents.

All who work there are extreemly kind and caring and continually keep us regularly updated on any healrh issues or activities that may be going on. Mum is happy there and this has put our mind at rest as a family. A big thank you to all the team who work there God bless xxx

My mother has only been in the home for a short time and we were invited to a Mothers Day tea. It was so well organised with lots of beautiful personal touches. We had a lovely afternoon and the staff were extremely attentive. Well done to all of them and a big thank you.

Lovely event put on for Mothers Day on Friday 13 March. Staff work hard to make everyone welcome and always with a smile. Dining Room was decorated beautifully, and sandwiches and cakes for afternoon tea were in abundance. Most importantly, mum had a wonderful time.

A really enjoyable and well organised afternoon. Staff as always were polite, respectful and very attentive to both residents and visitors. A delicious and bountiful spread for all and a thoughtful gift for the Mothers. A lovely afternoon.

Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and it was a joy to see the smiles on the female residents and their families.

Orchid is an amazing home for my Mum. All staff are approachable and go out of their way to help you. The nursing staff are great and extremely caring. Nothing is too much trouble! The activities team run great events and varied activities. All the ladies are lovely! Can't fault this Care home and would recommend it hugely.

My sister and I have both our parents as permanent residents in Orchid, and since our mum joined in June 2025 (followed by dad a couple of months later), we have been extremely impressed in almost every aspect. We visited quite a few care homes in Swindon, and Orchid stood out as the 5 star option. We haven't regretted our choice whatsoever, and although there are always small and rare 'niggles' and we had the odd teething issue, everything that hasn't been perfect, has been addressed and dealt with very well by the management and the brilliant staff. Everyone at Orchid is lovely, friendly and very approachable. In the 9 months, we have rarely seen a staff member leave, so the staff-retention must be high. This indicates that the carers and staff are happy, and happy staff=happy residents=happy families! We visit Orchid most days, and each time we leave, we go away knowing that our parents are in the best possible hands, and are being looked after by some excellent carers.
