Everyone is so cheerful & polite. The care they show is outstanding & understanding. I believe that my husband could not be in a better place for his care.

From the moment that we first visited Birchy Hill almost 4 years ago to the present, I have seen Birchy Hill as a happy and warm place. The staff are always kind, friendly and welcoming. Above all, the quality of care that they have given my wife has been truly exceptional. Day in day out they have attended to all her needs and given her the best possible life. I'd just like to express my thanks to all the staff for their professional skill, expertise and dedication combined with human kindness and homeliness.

My husband ( with Az & other health issues) moved into Birchy in May last year as he had become very agitated and stressed at home. A very distressing time for me and the family. BUT All the staff have been wonderful trying all sorts of strategies to help him successfully navigate the move and this phase of his illness. Caring not only for him but me also. They organised a wonderful birthday party for him and the family. My husband has settled in, is now calm and knows all the staff from the Manager to the Gardener and enjoys chatting and teasing them all. I believe Birchy is possibly the only care home that could have achieved this Now I can enjoy quality time with him instead of managing his health issues and agitation.

This is our third care home after two disappointing placements. Mum was in a bad place mentally and deskilled physically. Thanks to the exceptional care, good food and the right stimulation, mum has improved greatly. Her challenging behaviour is dealt with, with dignity and warmth. What joy to have found this setting.

From the day my husband was admitted to Birchy Hill Care Home at the beginning of April I was very impressed with everything I witnessed, from initial greeting to introduction to various staff members. During my husbands stay nothing has been too much trouble, all staff very polite & accommodating. Everything is clearly explained, additional service ie hairdressing & podiatry excellent. Accommodation is well-maintained & appropriate to user needs.

I highly recommend windyridge for your loved ones.

10/10 for the manager, nurses, assistants, cleaning & cooking & admin staff. Set in a great location close to the sea.

We just needed Dad to be safe and for the carers to be safe, as Dad's cognitive function and aggression has got worse. The staff & nurses at Windyridge are attentive, caring and helpful, both for the patients and families. Dad has settled down and is being very well cared for, which is very reassuring for us as we are two hrs away.

The staff at Birchy Hill are so lovely with the residents. They do not hesitate to reassure them when they are anxious and are always so friendly and kind. The residents always seem happy when they are around and they arrange lots of activities for them.

Our mother arrived at Birchy Hill 2 years ago, from then until her passing her last month she received exemplary care from the management and carers. We really have no complaints. The facilities are quiet, clean, spacious and well laid out including a lovely garden when it's warm enough to go outside. The care home is a 15 minute walk from the station if you're unable to drive. The care our mother received was attentive and kind. At her previous care home eating was an issue (time and food wise), however at Birchy our mother soon gained weight due to the nutritious meals and the ability of the kitchen to blend every course/meal to the right consistency so our mother could eat. Our mother passed away at Birchy Hill in February 25 and up until the end of the life we were satisfied the best was being done for her.

My husband has had some health issues which have been sorted out by the health team.

My wife came to Birchy Hill after an operation and aftercare. She has been treated with kindness and dignity by all of the helpful and caring staff. The nurses oversee her medical requirements and the food choices are very good. There is an excellent range of activities each day, which the residents look forward to and the staff sometimes join in, run by an enthusiastic events manager. The gardens are well maintained and much enjoyed when the weather allows. Birchy has its own coach which is used to take residents on outings, to keep in touch with the wider world. Again much enjoyed. The library has a wide range of books etc. which I have used to entertain my wife and residents use frequently. It's always a pleasure to visit and there are lots of options for us to choose to do. You should visit, you might be surprised.

The admin lady is a 'font of all knowledge' and has been quietly wonderful and an essential part in helping our family cope with this huge change in our lives.

We wanted to say a big thank you to the staff at the home for going above and beyond to make our mum's birthday lunch a great success and a lovely celebration of her life. We couldn't ask for better care for our mum and the home is just great and the activities that they do with all the residents are just amazing.

My whole family are forever grateful that we found Birchy Hill and are confident to recommend their outstanding care and facilities to anyone who enquires.

Birchy Hill Care Home have looked after my husband for one year. I am very happy with the care provided. I find the staff caring and sensitive to his needs. They are also very positive and caring towards myself and my family. The atmosphere is stimulating and the activities are varied.
