Overall Experience

Newlands care home is a superb caring home for my aunt who is in her late 90s. During a difficult period of illness the carers and nursing staff provided fantastic support. The home is so clean, the catering is delicious and served in a lovely restaurant. Daily games and exercise classes keep everyone

entertained. I would highly recommend this home for anyone who wants their relative to receive kind and supportive attention and care.

Overall Experience

My Late mother was cared for 27 days till she passes away with cancer. She was treated with the upmost care and love, with phenomenal dedicated management and staff. Every time we visited, we were greeted with a wonderful welcome and a smile, I could not of expected anything more than what was provided,

including support for myself as well as my mother. Newlands is a place where I will always feel attached to, I have been back since on more than one occasion and I am made very welcome by all.

Overall Experience

I cannot thank the staff enough at Cherry Trees Care Home. They have been absolutely great for my Mum, since she moved in April this year.
My Mum has previously worked in multiple roles, from Cleaner to Head Chef in Care Services for the last 16 years, until she became unwell back in January.
In my

Mums words, if she could move Cherry Trees closer to where she was from, she would do. Unfortunately she can get quite upset about being some distance away from family, but the staff are amazing and make sure she is well looked after.
The only negative that I could pass, is the facility. The facility is tired and very outdated. That does not affect the excellent care that is provided. However, I do think the care home would benefit from a bit more of a refresh. Lighter colours on the walls and somewhere easy to maintain to make the staff's job easier.
Thank you once again for being so great with her, I really appreciate it.

Overall Experience

My wife has been a resident for 3 years. She suffers with dementia and is unable to walk or speak. Despite this she seems to be content most of the time, eats well and has been in receipt of considerate care with dressing and hygine thanks to the sympathetic and hard working staff. The accomodation

including visiting areas and residents rooms always look clean and tidy.

My experiences have always been positive as I can see how well cared for my Mam is,I cannot fault the staff,

Overall Experience

My mother in law was moved to Newlands in March 2024, due to a progressive condition that had left her unable to care for herself.
From the moment she arrived the level of care and support she has received has been great, and continues to be. As her condition progresses, staff have tailored her care

needs accordingly and often had to change approaches to ensure she is getting what she needs, ans this has been done easily. They took into consideration her likes and dislikes and supported my mother-in-law and us as her wider family throughout. It can be an emotional and challenging time going into a care home but everyone at Newlands made us all feel so welcome that it made the process much easier. The kindness and compassion shown is exceptional and was shown in how quickly my mother in law settled in.

Overall Experience

My mum was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness, necessitating constant care that our family is unable to provide. We decided on Newlands, where we were impressed by the staff's compassionate and considerate nature. During her time there, her physical and mental health have declined, and the team

at Newlands has adjusted to these changing needs. From management, caregivers and support staff, everyone at Newlands has been exceptional, taking the initiative to engage my mother in conversation and building a rapport. As her son, this has been an incredibly challenging time; however, the staff has been consistently communicative, thoughtful, and caring. Living over 200 miles away makes it hard for us to visit too often. Still, the leadership team, including two specific members of staff, respond promptly to emails, addressing all my inquiries and updating me on my mother's condition and needs. Their kindness and generosity of spirit have truly made this difficult situation more bearable.

Overall Experience

Newlands Care Home is a very friendly and homely place to live. I have witnessed the care given to my friend over the last two years and it has been excellent. The staff go above and beyond making sure everyone is looked after. I visit my friend regularly and she is always well-presented and happy,

her room is always clean and clothes well laundered. The staff provide activities daily and include every resident. Christmas 2024 was celebrated with a party and New Year's Day was equally enjoyed by each resident, visitor and staff. Residents here are all treated the same regardless of their abilities and I know from experience that visitors are welcomed at any time. I am always notified of any changes in her condition and am encouraged to play a part in her wellbeing.

The care home provides excellent care. My mum has improved so much since she has moved here. The staff treat the residents like they are family. And go above and beyond to care for them. The home is clean and bright and there is such a lovely atmosphere. We couldn't wish for a better place for my mum.

My dad was very smartly dressed with his Christmas jumper on and looking very festive. All staff were lovely and welcoming, always ready with a smile to make sure residents and relatives are happy when in the home. I love coming to visit as my dad is always happy to see us. Overall Experience

I've had my Uncle here for just over 12 months. I never wanted him in a care home but he lost the use of his legs, so it was the best option for him. In the past 12 months, my Uncle and I have become a part of the Cherrytrees family at least that's how it feels, one big happy family with amazing staff

who know what they're doing my Uncle. He is treated with the utmost respect and lives independently with help from the staff, this was one of the reasons I never wanted him in a care facility but I see now he still lives as if he were still in his own home I can't praise the staff enough and of course the manager who is very open and makes sure everyone is aware if you have a problem no matter how small or big he wants to hear about it. The staff always maintain a polite professional approach to all residents under all circumstances. All visitors are made to feel very welcome.

Overall Experience

Regarding my mother's care and the other residents' is always first class. It's as if they can't do enough because of my mother's eating habits, she doesn't always eat what they serve but that's not the fault of the kitchen, she still eats enough. I have no problems with the service my mum gets.

My elderly mother has been with Newlands for over 12 months now and I cannot express enough how well the wonderful friendly staff look after her, they are always there for her, she can be quite nasty at times due to her condition, but it doesn't deter her carers, I can only hope that if the time comes

similar for me, my family will find a place as wonderful as this for me, I am always welcome to visit and the staff come forward to inform me if they have any concerns about my mum, they are and always have been very supportive and helpful, her room and all other areas are very clean. When we were looking for a place for her to stay, we were advised not to give a thought to any that smelt of urine, or overly had a smell of bleach, this Care Home had neither, just smelt clean and always has every single time I visit, which is at least 2 times a week. Thanks!

Overall Experience

We went to look around a few care homes, and then we came to see Newlands. We felt really anxious at first, but as soon as we walked in the home, we felt at ease the atmosphere was really warm and welcoming and the manager was lovely and friendly. We also met the activities co-ordinator who is also

lovely and does a lot of activities with the residents. The food is really nice and you can even have lunch and sit with your loved ones. Our family is really happy with the care my Dad is receiving, and we feel happy to leave my Dad knowing he is getting looked after. The staff have been amazing with my Dad and he has settled in really well.
