Mission Care (formerly the Bermondsey Medical Mission) is a Christian charity that has served communities in South East London for over one hundred years. Their first care homes for older people were opened in Bromley in the 1940s and 1950s. Today they are privileged to offer a loving and comfortable home to over two hundred and fifty residents in their five homes in Bromley and Southwark.

Every one of the homes is committed to delivering a high standard of person-centred care that serves residents’ social, physical, clinical and emotional needs. Homes are safe and secure and meet all statutory requirements and are registered with the Care Quality Commission. Recent inspection reports are available for viewing in each home.

Owners recognise that their most valuable resource is their staff, without whom they would not be able to provide the high-quality nursing and residential care to those that they serve. Mission Care are committed to ongoing training and development for all staff members, the majority of whom have worked with them for at least four years, ensuring continuity of care for residents and demonstrating the commitment and dedication of staff.

My Dad spent his last weeks in Greenhill Nursing Home. We couldn't have wished for better care. The staff were absolutely lovely, they were all happy in their work and genuinely cared about everyone.
The premises are very bright and airy and very clean, there are no restrictions with regards to visitors
and my Dad was very happy and very appreciative of the care he received from the staff. My Sister and I were very worried about Dad going into a care home but everyone made us feel totally relaxed and we were absolutely relieved to have found such a lovely, friendly environment for Dad. Although we thought the decor and room was old fashioned and very basic for our Dad who came from a beautiful very stylish flat, the care was far more important to us than the furniture and we would have preferred to have kept him there rather than move him to plusher surroundings. We are so grateful to the staff for looking after him in his last few weeks and wouldn't hesitate in recommending the home.

On discharge from hospital on 'end of life care' my mother spent the last month of her life at Willett House suffering from advanced dementia. The care she received was outstanding and the staff were excellent. Everyone we came across seemed to genuinely and deeply care about her dignity and comfort
even though she was largely oblivious to such matters herself. Please do not be put off by the slightly dated decor compared some newer homes, the care and attention we received as a whole family was so much more important.

I was a trustee of Mission Care until 2018. I used to visit the home on that capacity. I am very pleased to say that all the impressions that I gained at that time have been more than fulfilled in my recent visits to Elmwood since my 97 year old mother was admitted in September. The staff are brilliant,
from the home manager to the domestics. All are kind, considerate and very friendly. My mother is extremely happy and very well cared for.

My uncle has been in the care home for eight months now and he has settled very well. He has dementia and exhibits very challenging behaviour. Tawona and her team have done everything to help him settle in and treat him with dignity and respect. They are so patient and kind to him, even on his worst
days.
The care he receives at this home is second to none. He is cared for and all his needs are met.we feel that he is safe and in the right place for him.
The home is clean and his room is cleaned and tidied everyday. The food is nutritious and varied, if he doesn't want to eat, he is offered other things to coax him to eat.
We are always involved in any decisions about his care, they listen to us and take our ideas onboard.
We are very pleased that he is in Homefield, the whole team are amazing.

My mother has been a resident in Willett House for 2 1/2 years. I have found this to be the nursing home my mother would have wanted as she suffers from dementia. The care she gets is second to none the staff are so friendly as with the management. Everything in the nursing home is equally made to give

It has been a full year since my mum has been in Homefield, and it has been a wonderful year!! She has received the best care I could hope for. Everybody from management to carers to kitchen staff to the janitors are kind, considerate, helpful and caring. The Homefield Care Home is bright and cheery,
and the new entertainment man has brought more fun and appropriate games and stimulation to great heights. Food here is fab, and the chefs and kitchen staff create great food. I know Mum will have another happy year. Thanks!

My wife has been sectioned nearly 10 years & cannot communicate or repsond. Dedicated, professional aid of the highest standard in all fields is required & has always been performed by dedicated staff. Now non-weight bearing, the complicated needs & problems my wife presents have always been met with
treatment & respect, allowing her as much dignity as possible in the circumstances, staff's patience & humour in trying situations have lightened the load.

On the whole we are happy with Greenhill, the staff and carers are lovely. Maybe a social media account would be good so we can see the activities that go on - I know other care homes do this.

This care home is fantastic, my dad is very well cared for. The whole team of staff work well in looking after his care and medical needs. They have a pastoral care team who visit and chat with my dad and also support families and residents. We love all the activities and celebrations they hold here.

We were very pleased to secure a place at Elmwood for mum on her discharge from hospital. We were very happy with the excellent care given there, which allowed mum to continue to recover & improve her mobility. Although she initially found it hard to settle, staff were very caring & supportive to us
as a family through this period. At this time there were a lot of very unwell residents, so activities were not so evident, that would be my only concern.

My husband entered Elmwood nursing home on 28th June 2024 he was very agitated & did not take kindly to being looked after he thought he could do it all himself, but with very gentle care & patience the staff were able to help him understand they were there to help & assist him in all he tried to
do. I cannot praise the staff enough. The whole staff from top to bottom are the best I have ever encountered.
The en-suite rooms are always very clean & tidy, good food , upper most was the dignity given to each resident. Plenty of activities but

I have visited my friend who lives at The Elms every week for the last two years. In that time he has received excellent care provided by a consistent staff team. The residents are cared for by familiar friendly faces, who take the time to understand their preferences. The staff take my friend's wellbeing
seriously. My friend is very happy with the care he receives. And there is no pressure to join any faith-based activities. It smells fine too.

The staff are very welcoming and caring. Clients are respected and the needs are well understood and supported.


The lounge area on the ground floor is bright and welcoming. With good facilities and activities.


The bedrooms are kept clean, but could do with freshing up.

We are so pleased we chose Greenhill to care for mum in the last months of her life. The staff gave our whole family a warm welcome. At all times staff were caring and very responsive to mums needs. I have had a fair amount of experience with care homes over the last decade and will say this one is by far the best.
The staff are all very caring and particularly friendly making it a pleasant experience to visit my mother.
Like all care homes, things do go wrong and occasionally the best care has
not been given but it is acted on immediately and we are always well informed of outcomes.
I am thankful my mother is with Homefield.
