It has been a full year since my mum has been in Homefield, and it has been a wonderful year!! She has received the best care I could hope for. Everybody from management to carers to kitchen staff to the janitors are kind, considerate, helpful and caring. The Homefield Care Home is bright and cheery,
and the new entertainment man has brought more fun and appropriate games and stimulation to great heights. Food here is fab, and the chefs and kitchen staff create great food. I know Mum will have another happy year. Thanks!

My wife has been sectioned nearly 10 years & cannot communicate or repsond. Dedicated, professional aid of the highest standard in all fields is required & has always been performed by dedicated staff. Now non-weight bearing, the complicated needs & problems my wife presents have always been met with
treatment & respect, allowing her as much dignity as possible in the circumstances, staff's patience & humour in trying situations have lightened the load.

On the whole we are happy with Greenhill, the staff and carers are lovely. Maybe a social media account would be good so we can see the activities that go on - I know other care homes do this.
Reply from Georgia Raymond, Business Support Manager at Greenhill Nursing Home

Thank you for your kind feedback. We're really pleased to hear that you're happy with Greenhill and that our staff and carer's have made a positive impression. Thank you also for your suggestion about social media. We do have social media accounts, and we completely agree that it's a great way for families to stay connected and see the activities taking place. We're currently working on posting more regularly to give a better glimpse into daily life at Mission Care. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and suggestions.

This care home is fantastic, my dad is very well cared for. The whole team of staff work well in looking after his care and medical needs. They have a pastoral care team who visit and chat with my dad and also support families and residents. We love all the activities and celebrations they hold here.

We were very pleased to secure a place at Elmwood for mum on her discharge from hospital. We were very happy with the excellent care given there, which allowed mum to continue to recover & improve her mobility. Although she initially found it hard to settle, staff were very caring & supportive to us
as a family through this period. At this time there were a lot of very unwell residents, so activities were not so evident, that would be my only concern.
Reply from Georgia Raymond, Business Support Manager at Elmwood

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of your mum's stay at Elmwood. We're truly pleased to hear that her time with us supported her recovery and helped her regain mobility, that's exactly the kind of positive outcome we strive for. We understand how challenging it can be for both residents and their families when settling into a new environment, so it means a great deal to hear that our team's support made a difference during that transition. Your comment about activities is appreciated and taken seriously. During times when a number of residents are unwell, our focus naturally shifts to providing the medical and emotional support they need most. That said, we always aim to ensure activities are scheduled each day with the location rotating between floors to ensure all residents have the opportunity to take part. Thank you again for your kind words.

My husband entered Elmwood nursing home on 28th June 2024 he was very agitated & did not take kindly to being looked after he thought he could do it all himself, but with very gentle care & patience the staff were able to help him understand they were there to help & assist him in all he tried to
do. I cannot praise the staff enough. The whole staff from top to bottom are the best I have ever encountered.
The en-suite rooms are always very clean & tidy, good food , upper most was the dignity given to each resident. Plenty of activities but
Not compulsory residents choice. This is the home that didn't give up on him.

I have visited my friend who lives at The Elms every week for the last two years. In that time he has received excellent care provided by a consistent staff team. The residents are cared for by familiar friendly faces, who take the time to understand their preferences. The staff take my friend's wellbeing
seriously. My friend is very happy with the care he receives. And there is no pressure to join any faith-based activities. It smells fine too.

Staff greet & welcome with a smile, they can/did direct me to find my mother. I was told how she's doing and was informed of a couple of adjustments needed to ensure the space in her room does not create trip hazards. Staff are understanding that its taking time for her to settle in (has been resident
for 5 months now).

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We're glad to hear that you felt welcomed by our team and that we could assist you in finding your mother and updating you on her well-being. It's important to us that both residents and their families feel informed and supported, and we're committed to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. We truly appreciate your understanding and patience as your mother continues to settle in.

When I visit The Elms I am struck by how many staff are around and how well they interact with the residents. They are patient, kind and accommodating taking account of each individual's needs rather than following a regimented routine. I also really appreciate staff's friendliness to visitors.

My uncle became a resident of Homefield Care home in January 2025 as he has dementia and needed nursing care. He also has challenging behaviour.
From day one, the staff have been absolutely amazing, even though he is verbally abusive to them, they treat him with kindness and compassion. They check
on him regularly, encouraging him to eat and drink and dealing with his personal care. Nothing is too much for them, they answer our questions regarding his care. He is treated with dignity.
The manager goes around the home every day and sees every resident, she is so lovely, you can see her compassion for all of them. We can go to her anytime, her door is always open and she always greets you with a smile and alleviates our worries.
The home is run efficiently, the food is lovely and the rooms are spotlessly clean. The main area where activities take place is bright and clean, there's lots of things put on for the residents. We are very happy he is there and safe.

The staff are very welcoming and caring. Clients are respected and the needs are well understood and supported.

The lounge area on the ground floor is bright and welcoming. With good facilities and activities.

The bedrooms are kept clean, but could do with freshing up.

We are so pleased we chose Greenhill to care for mum in the last months of her life. The staff gave our whole family a warm welcome. At all times staff were caring and very responsive to mums needs. It was also wonderful to have the pastoral support, with the church service and 1:1 visits for mum in
her room. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job and caring for mum.

I have had a fair amount of experience with care homes over the last decade and will say this one is by far the best.
The staff are all very caring and particularly friendly making it a pleasant experience to visit my mother.
Like all care homes, things do go wrong and occasionally the best care has
not been given but it is acted on immediately and we are always well informed of outcomes.
I am thankful my mother is with Homefield.

Mum has been at Elmwood for about 2 years now. She has recently started having palliative care. When she was taken into hospital in January our family was told that she had days and at best weeks to live. Mum returned to Elmwood and because of the amazing care she has received she is still with us.
So we as a family would like to say a big thank you.
