I am very satisfied with the care and support and the overall experience given by Carrington House.

Very pleased with the service at Carrington House. The staff are friendly, approachable and professional. Always feel welcome, problems are very rare but when they do arise they are dealt with quickly. Lovely care team who do a great job!

Carrington House, in Vandyke Road in Leighton Buzzard, is within walking distance of my home and when I have major surgery, this is where I go for recovery, It is a really lovely place to live in and those of us who live there have conversations with each other, walk around with each other and are absolutely looked after by a large team of very caring people, who bend over backwards to keep us happy. The chef will even make individual meals for us if we ask. I have stayed there twice now and will be back in August following hip surgery

I really can't rate this care home highly enough. The manager, David and his amazing staff have been like family to my mother. Whenever we visited it feels like we are visiting her home. The facilities and grounds are very welcoming, the residents always have something interesting to do, and the food always smelt very nice to me. Mum was very happy there, but the real value was in the love and attention given by the staff. My wife and I live abroad most of the year, so knowing that mum was really well looked after offered us total peace of mind. I would have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful home for anyone looking for a place to stay for their relatives.

I am the sole sibling of my 80-year-old sister who has mixed dementia/Alzheimer's. Unfortunately I live a 2-hour drive away from Leighton Buzzard so finding a perfect care home was important. Carrington House is a truly excellent place, calm, well-managed, clean and inviting. Offers first-class care and accommodation - perfect for my sister.

I have nothing but the highest praise for Carrington House. The home, recently redecorated and refurnished, offers a safe and happy environment for my mum. The staff are caring, efficient, and have a great rapport with her. The admin staff ensure that there are plenty of activities for residents. The home is clean at all times, the residents are well-fed and we as visitors are warmly welcomed by all staff.

Carrington House is a lovely care home. The staff look after the residents very well. It is clean, bright and very welcoming. Mum has been here for 2 years and most of the staff are the same. I know that mum is well looked after. The activities team make a lot of effort to keep the residents busy. A lot of time has been spent on making the garden calm and welcoming too.

My Mum has been in Carrington House for over a year now and her dementia has increased and with it, she can get very agitated. She tends to get very unsteady on her feet and she has to be watched constantly. The caring team deals with Mum brilliantly, they know the signs when she is changing and know what needs to be done to keep her safe. The carers are so nice and helpful and not only care fir Mum but my elderly Father who visits Mum and also me when I visit. I cannot fault this home and would recommend it to anyone looking for a caring home.

My dad is very well cared for at Carrington House, the staff and management team are super hard working, extremely patient, respectful and personal, they understood my Dad's personality very quickly. He has been in care there now for around 18 months with his diagnosis of mixed dementia and we are very comforted knowing he is in a safe, supportive and attentive environment. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Carrington House Care Home.

The staff works tirelessly to provide a varied program of in-house (daily) activities as well as external trips. Family and friends receive regular communications regarding the activities and events on offer. They are also given the opportunity to share views at Family and Friends meetings. Communication regarding concerns with the residents is good. I would have no hesitation in recommending CH. My mother is treated with kindness and more importantly dignity and respect. The staff are aware of individual needs and accommodate their care accordingly. As a family, we are most grateful for the dedication and compassion of the staff. I feel reassured my mother is being cared for in a safe and happy environment.

Ashton Lodge is a lovely care home, my mum was admitted in 2020, very emotional time during the pandemic. The home made things the best they could. Now visits are more like normal, I visit my mum regularly and the carers treat residents like their family. I am always updated on my mum, which is important to me. Thank you for all your hard work.

Overall I am happy with the care and support my brother is receiving. The management and staff are doing a wonderful job.

I am extremely happy with the care given by the home. I feel the residents' needs are carefully looked at and their interests are given, very good and loving. The meals provided are of a very high standard. The improvement in my husband's well-being since his admission nine months ago is excellent.

My wife has been a resident since May 2020 and has felt safe and well-treated from the first day. Carers and management have been very good. The decor has been updated and this has improved the atmosphere of the house. The visiting areas are the only ones needing improvement and the staff are presently checking into this problem.

I have found Ashton Lodge to be very helpful with a lovely caring and approachable attitude to residents and visitors, always willing to help and go above and beyond. They show respect to the residents and family and encourage the best for the residents, days out and family spending time. During Covid, they did their best when they could to allow contact. Any problems they always get help and no fuss. In my view a very good care home and carers I call friends.

My mum only had a few months at Carrington House and it was all a bit of a rush, coming straight from hospital so obviously a bit worried as she had never been away from home before. But from day one couldn't fault the place; clean, Mum always looked lovely, nice bedroom, friendly staff and plenty for them to do. Not stuck in their rooms all day. I would recommend. I am am glad my mum was happy in her final days and they would always be on hand to answer any questions you had. A good experience for Mum.

My mum lives with dementia and we made the difficult decision to put her in to care almost 2 years ago. Dad and I visited a few care homes in Dunstable when looking for somewhere for her. However, as soon as we had concluded our visit at Ashton Lodge we knew this was the right place. It wasn't the 'shiniest/newest' care home we visited, but it was the one that felt right - it felt like a home, rather than just a care home.

The staff are truly lovely and form strong bonds with the residents. Importantly Ashton Lodge uses permanent staff, rather than agency staff, and many have worked there for a good few years - this means they know and understand your relative's needs.

Resident's rooms are spacious, the general grounds are pretty and the communal areas are numerous. Lots of social/activities for residents, along with events throughout the year where families can join in, such as a Summer fete or Christmas Party.
