The Hamelin Trust supports children and adults with disabilities, as well as their carers. The Essex-based charity offers a range of services, including a short break house for children, another for adults, and a purpose-built long-term home for adults with profound disabilities.
Established in 1979, the trust is committed to providing high quality support for people who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory impairments and mental health problems. Its services are grown and developed through consultation with parents, carers, voluntary organisations, statutory services, and children and adults at whom the services are aimed.
The charity strives to enable people to live independent and fulfilling lives, where their decisions and choices are respected and they can enjoy a lifestyle of their choosing.
