Gowlands provides short breaks and respite care services for young people and adults over the age of 16 with a range of disabilities. They can provide care and support for people with learning disabilities, sensory impairments, physical disabilities, behaviour that challenges, and complex healthcare needs.
Residents at Gowlands are cared for in a stimulating, friendly and supportive environment, where their individuality is encouraged and independence is promoted. Continuity is provided for guests at Gowlands as staff work to ensure that they can continue to attend their regular schools and day services during their time there.
There are a number of activities offered, including music sessions, cooking, visits to local attractions, and an in-house sensory room. There are also generous walled gardens, a woodland area, an orchard, and a hydrotherapy pool.
