My brother has been at Rookhurst since April, and it's a wonderful place full of love and genuine kindness where you can truly see how hard the staff work and how much they care. Any minor worries we raise with the staff or Fiona are sorted out straight away. The food is good, and his room is always lovely and well-kept. Most importantly, he is constantly happy. We deeply appreciate everything they do, and they always make my family and two young children feel like part of their own whenever we visit. One big happy family and its great to be apart of!

I am so very thankful to the staff that they create such a warm and caring home for the residents and that he gets to enjoys his later years in comfort, safety and happiness.

It was a big decision for us as a family to find a residential home for him but we all feel we have been extremely lucky to have found such a wonderful caring place for him to live .

My son is a resident and is treated great. All the staff treat him with dignity, Safety, cleanliness . The staff are excellent, Well, trained and support every activity my son requires. When we visit they are very friendly and accommodating. Great support structure.

My sister in law is a resident at Rookhurst and is very happy there. The staff are professional and always able to answer any questions or concerns we may have. I drove my wife to visit last month and could see my sister in law was in good spirits and well cared for. She was chatty when she went to lunch and her walking had improved from our last visit.

My auntie has been at Rookhurst Care Home for a while now and we've been really happy with the care she receives. The staff are always kind, patient and welcoming whenever we visit, and it's clear they genuinely care about the residents. My auntie often talks about how supported and comfortable she feels there, which gives our family a lot of reassurance. The home is always clean, friendly and has a lovely atmosphere. Thank you to all the team for everything you do.

We visited my sister today and as always we had a very nice day. My sister was in good spirits and had lots to tell us all good. The staff are extremely committed and always a pleasure to see and speak too. We met a new resident today who has been there a month or so he was very chatty and smiling saying how much he likes his new home. The residents were having an exercise session while we were there with a trainer and we could see they all participated and enjoyed it. We look forward to visiting again soon.

It's a huge relief to know we have found somewhere that we didn't think existed.

When my brother first went to live at rookhurst it appeared to be such a caring, welcoming place for him to live. Unfortunately in our experience, it went drastically downhill. We were made to feel very unwelcome, and in their own words ' they would observe our private visits with our brother from the garden' or sitting in a chair outside his bedroom door. We have this in an email sent to social services. My brother lost several stone in weight. He looked more and more ill every time we visited him. My brothers health was not taken serious. My brother died from aspirating pneumonia on Christmas eve. If my beautiful brother was still living at home with our mum we are 100% certain he would still be here with us, as my mum always got him medical treatment as soon as there was an issue. IF YOU SEND A LOVED ONE HERE, PLEASE DO SPOT CHECKS, ITS THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL SEE WHAT ITS REALLY LIKE.

I know my uncle is in the very best care we could wish for here, I'm so grateful for all the caring and kind staff who give him the best support! He is so happy and full of love which truly is testament to how he is cared for.

Rookhurst have always been great over the years, and more recently have proved to be very good with managing challenging medical issues, and always ensure the services and activities go a long way to ensuring continual improvements. Communication is excellent and visiting is made very comfortable by way of having plenty of space in a clean and tidy environment, also helped by the other residents being calm, kind, courteous and helpful.

As always, the attention in providing a warm welcoming environment from the whole team was in evidence at our Christmas visit. The Rookhurst family home feels just like that, a family home and the needs of our family member are always met with kindness, dignity and good humour, which makes for a very happy environment.

My son is very happy in his safe secure, cosy home at Marlborough Lodge. He is always treated with respect and dignity by the staff. The home is exceptionally well run. He is perfectly matched with her key worker, who has worked miracles with my sons challenging behaviours using love, respect and fun to build trust. I feel reassured knowing he in such a caring and supportive environment and I'm truly grateful to all the staff for the difference they've made to his life.

I have enjoyed everything that I do at Marlborough Lodge, staff support me with all my outside activities and the care is provided with expert additions.

I enjoy living here there are good people and staff. I enjoy activities and going out on my own. There is good food.

My son has lived at Marlborough Lodge for 16 years, the staff are very knowledgeable with his individual needs and support him to have an active life. Staff update me weekly on his progress my son is very settled at Marlborough Lodge.
