Ty Mawr

from Mandy E (Daughter of Resident) published on 14 November 2025

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
As a family, we are extremely happy with the care provided by Ty Mawr home. The staff at the home are dedicated and kind, they have taken the time to really get to know my mother, they know her likes and dislikes, and try to accommodate her preferences in their care. As a care home, Ty Mawr is very
friendly and we are encouraged to visit whenever we like. We have got to know the staff well and it feels so welcoming there.
I have no hesitation at all in recommending Ty Mawr as a caring and friendly home.

The whole team have provided us with an exceptional level of care. They have demonstrated a real knowledge and ability for how to work with a young autistic adult and I feel confident in leaving my son in their care.

The service is safe and well-led. Residents are treated with respect and dignity. On our frequent visits, the atmosphere in the house is always calm and positive and our son is happier here than in previous houses. His views are always listened to and he is encouraged to be more independent. He enjoys
the urban location and participating in community activities with staff support. Staff are approachable and supportive to us as parents. Our son can telephone and visit home whenever he requests. Fernery House is a friendly, caring and understanding service.

My daughter has severe rheumatoid arthritis as well as Autism and a learning disability. Pelham Manor was bought for her use as she has a downstairs bedroom. She needs 2 carers 24 hours due to her severe disabilities. her complex needs are looked after very well and she is respected as a person. All
her brothers, sisters, and mother are very thankful for the good care she receives.
