My mother is a resident at Westley Court and my father also resided here until his passing in December 2025. Manager Rhiannon is caring, compassionate and professional. She is always responsive to any concerns and will work with families to find solutions to any problems. She has a genuine passion
for the industry she's working in and this is reflected throughout the home. It is kept spotlesslessly clean and fresh and staff are friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well run and the kitchen manager is incredibly helpful with any dietary requirements. Nothing is too much trouble. The entertainments team work hard to provide diversions for the residents and have even had live chicks hatching in an incubator over Easter! This was loved by so many residents. Families are always able to speak to nurses and get feedback on their loved ones. The atmosphere throughout the home is light and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Westley Court to any relative looking for care.
Reply from Rhiannon Waters, Home Manager at Westley CourtThank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful review. It truly means a great deal to all of us at Westley Court.
We are honoured to care for your mother and your late father. Your words about my approach, along with the care and dedication of the whole team, are deeply appreciated and reflect what we strive for every day.
It's wonderful to hear that the cleanliness of the home, the friendliness of our team, and the efforts of our kitchen and activities staff have made such a positive impression. We're especially pleased that the Easter chick experience brought so much joy, it was a very special moment for many of our residents.
Ensuring open communication and creating a warm, welcoming environment for residents and their families is at the heart of what we do, so your feedback is incredibly encouraging.
Thank you again for your recommendation and for placing your trust in us. It is a privilege to be part of your family's journey.

My wife Pam was admitted in December 2024 with Vascular Dementia. Life at home had become too difficult for me to handle. At that stage she was able to use walking frames but her mobility quickly deteriorated and in the end she needed 2 nurses to get anywhere. At times she became violent in her reaction
and overall I believe the nursing staff did well, although some were better than others. She eventually became. bed bound and her dementia worsened to a stage where she could not remember any visitors and was unable to recognise her own grandchildren. She had little interest in food and had to be reminded to drink enough. She had little interest in anything and. rarely participated in the many activities made available. She was incontinent and unable to access toilet facilities without assistance.
She did very much react positively to two visits by therapy dogs and enjoyed pre Christmas carol concerts.
The nursing staff did as well as they could to keep her comfortable.
Reply from Rhiannon Waters, Home Manager at Westley CourtThank you for taking the time to share your experience and for trusting us with Pam's care during such a difficult time.
We are very sorry to hear about the challenges you both faced. Vascular dementia can be incredibly complex, and we understand how hard it must have been to make the decision for Pam to move into care.
We appreciate your kind comments about the nursing team and are pleased that, overall, you felt Pam was well supported as her needs increased. We also take on board your feedback regarding consistency and will continue to strive for the highest standards across all staff.
It's lovely to hear that Pam enjoyed the therapy dog visits and Christmas carol concert, those moments are so important.
Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback, and we send you our very best wishes.

I felt immediately at ease when I arrived at Westley Court Nursing home. Rhiannon, the home manager, is amazing and friendly. She worked hard to get all the equipment I needed in a very short timeframe, and has been very supportive. The staff are lovely, very professional, and are always willing to
help me. Any issues I have had, have been addressed promptly, and efficiently. The cleaning staff are cheery and do a wonderful job of keeping the place looking lovely and smelling fresh. The activities staff are great at encouraging me and making me feel involved. The food here is lovely, and the kitchen staff have tried hard to cater for my tastes. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Overall, I love it here.
Reply from Rhiannon Waters, Home Manager at Westley CourtThank you so much for your wonderful review. I am truly delighted to hear that you felt immediately at ease when you arrived at Westley Court. It was my pleasure to ensure everything you needed was in place, and I am so pleased that you have felt supported throughout your stay. I am incredibly proud of our dedicated staff, who work hard every day to provide compassionate, professional care and to respond promptly to any concerns.
I will be sure to share your feedback with our housekeeping, activities, and kitchen teams they will be thrilled to know their efforts are appreciated. It is especially wonderful to hear that you are enjoying the food, activities, and beautiful surroundings.

Despite advertising themselves as being able to care for complex mental health issues, this is very far from the truth. After only 3/4 weeks of caring for my stepdad, who is displaying symptoms of severe depression, anxiety, and the possible onset of dementia, the management served notice of eviction
because he has 'behavioural issues'. Before notice was served no attempt was made to diagnose or support his condition. Regularly, during visits, I noticed safeguarding guidelines weren't met because his call bell was disconnected, he was offered no dignity and left to lie on his bed in just top half clothing and an incontinence pad, with no bedding other than a pillow and bottom sheet on a plastic mattress, and his curtains closed at 2pm in the afternoon. Overall, a very unsatisfactory experience. There are many alternatives that are cheaper, better managed, with far superior facilities and decor. Please make sure that you've considered all available local homes before committing here.
Reply from Kate Collins, Regional Manager at Westley CourtWe are very disappointed to read your review which we note you submitted after we restricted your access to the care home following behaviours from you which prompted a referral to the police. We also note that despite your unfounded criticism, your father remains with us and we have not had any previous concerns raised by you regarding his care. We take the safety and wellbeing of our staff and residents very seriously and operate a zero tolerance policy regarding aggression, racism and bullying. We will of course, continue to try to work with you in the best interests of your Father whilst living at Westley Court.

Mom was on end-of-life care when she arrived at Westley Court. During such a traumatic time, we cannot thank the staff enough for the thoughtfulness and care they provided to both mom and the family members. We could not have wished for her to be in a better place. What an amazing standard of care.
We cannot thank you all enough.

I was admitted to Westley Court Care Home in July 2019 in 'end stage heart failure with a life expectancy of 3-6 months'. Within days I saw a GP and Heart Failure Nurse who reviewed all of my medication, breathing 'aids' and activities. In that time I developed swallowing problems (and we had the
'Covid Lock Down') and I am still in heart failure with other problems but it is all 'managed' by the HF nurse and staff in the home.
The rooms here are all large, overlook 'green belt' and have their own en suites,. A lounge/diner surrounds an open air dining/BBQ area and is also used for regular entertainment and activities.
Food is good and varied and may be brought to the room or served in the lounge/diner. Staff and management are 'caring' and reliable. Suffice to say that when my husband developed Parkinsons and dementia, my family had no hesitation is applying for a place for him here.
Reply from Rhiannon Waters, Home Manager at Westley CourtThank you so much for your kind review. We're delighted to hear that you're receiving such great care and support. It's always lovely to receive such wonderful feedback it truly means a lot to the team.

Mum was here three weeks for respite. When we visited she always looked happy and well cared for. The staff were so caring and treated mum with dignity and respect. The whole atmosphere was warm, friendly and relaxed. At the end of her stay, mum was sad to be leaving her friends and told us she
had a lovely time. The Manager made the process of arranging the stay very easy and was approachable throughout.

She was a joy to care for, and we are delighted to hear that she enjoyed her stay. Feedback like yours means so much to our team, as we take great pride in providing a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for every guest. Security needs - management attention - no staff around, at least 4/5 mins looking - could not locate, could not find anyone to hand over to relative. Could easily have been wandering around building. Relative wanting meds - tired. Would not of course wander! So have some system if reception staff are
not around or carers. Staff did not know how to let me out.
Reply from Rachel Price, Home Manager at Westley CourtGood afternoon, thank you for your review. It would appear that at the time you visited, staff were busy tending to resident's needs. I'm reassured that your relative is able to contact staff as and when needed, so whilst you couldn't locate anyone in that moment our internal call bell would have alerted staff that she required support. Our reception isn't manned 24/7 so on occasion visitors will need to wait for staff to let them out and this is to ensure the safety of our residents. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Overall, very satisfied with everyone here. Mom was very well looked after and we are grateful. The carers and nursing staff deserve to be paid a lot more considering what they have to do compared to the costs that are paid to the home.

Our experience of Westley Court over the last 22 months is one of a nursing home that has a dedicated staff who really do care for the patients. They treat them with great dignity and respect. The staff are always friendly and helpful whenever you visit and the manager is first-class and takes great
pride in the nursing home and the patients in her care.

Westley Court is my second experience of a care home. Here, a professional and capable staff have to cope on 12-hour shifts with everything that is required with 2 having to do the work of 3, as is usual. They deal with what comes their way with good humour and thoughtfulness. I find all the staff easy
to get on with and appreciate what they do. Inevitably there are sometimes long waits for basic services, but this is a consequence of understanding. These comments may seem bland but they are accurate.
Reply from Rachel Price, Home Manager at Westley CourtThank you for your comments, we very much encourage all of our residents to feedback to us at any time. Some of our staff do work 12-hour shifts, those that do choose to do so, but working 12 hours isn't essential. Our staffing levels are tailored around the level of dependency and requirements of the resident with us at that time, this is to ensure we have sufficient levels of staffing on 24 hours per day.

I have been visiting my friend since her illness obliged her to go into care. As an outsider, I cannot comment on everything, only what I have personally observed. She is not capable of participating in activities, so that category is irrelevant. However, I can testify that the staff are kind, friendly
and helpful and treat her respectfully. She was, for a while, in another local care home and I can see that Westley Court suits her better.
Reply from Rachel Price, Home Manager at Westley CourtI would like to thank you for your comment and I will pass this on to everyone in the team who will appreciate such positive feedback. I'm very glad she is happy at Westley.
