Mum was a resident at Westley Court for almost a year and a half. She was always kept clean and tidy, and staff always spoke fondly of her. Food was homemade, and she was supported with her meals and drinks. Staff were great - caring, supportive and approachable. We did feel that they genuinely cared about her welfare. We are very grateful for all they did.

Our mother Irene Whittle was fast tracked to Westley Court from Russells Hall hospital due to her failing and terminal condition. The home reacted magnificently to accomodate her and her needs for the short time she had left. The room was comfortable and the staff were supportive and caring. Although her time was short the family knows she had the best care in that time that was available to make her comfortable. Thank you all at Westley Court.

Five stars! My Nan came here to spend her last days. And the staff were amazing! So friendly! So accommodating! We felt my nan spend her last time in a lovely homely room. Thank you all so much for looking after my nan and the family during this hard time.

My mother is a resident at Westley Court and my father also resided here until his passing in December 2025. Manager Rhiannon is caring, compassionate and professional. She is always responsive to any concerns and will work with families to find solutions to any problems. She has a genuine passion for the industry she's working in and this is reflected throughout the home. It is kept spotlesslessly clean and fresh and staff are friendly and helpful. The kitchen is well run and the kitchen manager is incredibly helpful with any dietary requirements. Nothing is too much trouble. The entertainments team work hard to provide diversions for the residents and have even had live chicks hatching in an incubator over Easter! This was loved by so many residents. Families are always able to speak to nurses and get feedback on their loved ones. The atmosphere throughout the home is light and welcoming. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Westley Court to any relative looking for care.

The nursing staff did as well as they could to keep her comfortable.

I felt immediately at ease when I arrived at Westley Court Nursing home. Rhiannon, the home manager, is amazing and friendly. She worked hard to get all the equipment I needed in a very short timeframe, and has been very supportive. The staff are lovely, very professional, and are always willing to help me. Any issues I have had, have been addressed promptly, and efficiently. The cleaning staff are cheery and do a wonderful job of keeping the place looking lovely and smelling fresh. The activities staff are great at encouraging me and making me feel involved. The food here is lovely, and the kitchen staff have tried hard to cater for my tastes. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Overall, I love it here.

Despite advertising themselves as being able to care for complex mental health issues, this is very far from the truth. After only 3/4 weeks of caring for my stepdad, who is displaying symptoms of severe depression, anxiety, and the possible onset of dementia, the management served notice of eviction because he has 'behavioural issues'. Before notice was served no attempt was made to diagnose or support his condition. Regularly, during visits, I noticed safeguarding guidelines weren't met because his call bell was disconnected, he was offered no dignity and left to lie on his bed in just top half clothing and an incontinence pad, with no bedding other than a pillow and bottom sheet on a plastic mattress, and his curtains closed at 2pm in the afternoon. Overall, a very unsatisfactory experience. There are many alternatives that are cheaper, better managed, with far superior facilities and decor. Please make sure that you've considered all available local homes before committing here.

Very impressive: their efficient, thorough and friendly support has quite literally given Mum a new lease of life at 100. I am especially impressed with their attention to human dignity while maintaining an approach which is friendly and informal.

My husband has been a resident for ten months at Westley Court, at all times he has been treated with care and dignity. The staff are always friendly and helpful and do their best to make his stay as comfortable as possible.

Mom was on end-of-life care when she arrived at Westley Court. During such a traumatic time, we cannot thank the staff enough for the thoughtfulness and care they provided to both mom and the family members. We could not have wished for her to be in a better place. What an amazing standard of care. We cannot thank you all enough.

My mom had a stroke and could not be looked after at home several nursing homes were recommended the minute we saw Westley Court we knew as a family this is where we wanted our mom to be . We were met by the lovely Manager who took us round and showed us the rooms which were lovely I would describe it as home from home . Mom was moved into Westley Court and the minute she arrived all the staff have been amazing nothing is to much for them .They have been amazing and we cannot thank all the staff enough for the kindness and care they have showed my mom .

Food is good and varied and may be brought to the room or served in the lounge/diner. Staff and management are 'caring' and reliable. Suffice to say that when my husband developed Parkinsons and dementia, my family had no hesitation is applying for a place for him here.

Mum was here three weeks for respite. When we visited she always looked happy and well cared for. The staff were so caring and treated mum with dignity and respect. The whole atmosphere was warm, friendly and relaxed. At the end of her stay, mum was sad to be leaving her friends and told us she had a lovely time. The Manager made the process of arranging the stay very easy and was approachable throughout.

I now feel part of a happy group of people, both service users and care providers.

Nan's stay was breif, but in this short time she was well cared for. The bedroom she was in was calm, peaceful & extremely clean. Staff were positive, attentive & happy. Thank you.

Brilliant service and amazing staff. My dad is looked after so well and seems happy to be here in the situation he is in. He is always clean & tidy and has everything he needs.

Dad has only been at the carehome for a couple of months, but in that time he has been well cared for by all the carers.The staff are all lovely! The only thing is they could do with more entertainment/activities.

Security needs - management attention - no staff around, at least 4/5 mins looking - could not locate, could not find anyone to hand over to relative. Could easily have been wandering around building. Relative wanting meds - tired. Would not of course wander! So have some system if reception staff are not around or carers. Staff did not know how to let me out.

Overall, very satisfied with everyone here. Mom was very well looked after and we are grateful. The carers and nursing staff deserve to be paid a lot more considering what they have to do compared to the costs that are paid to the home.

Our experience of Westley Court over the last 22 months is one of a nursing home that has a dedicated staff who really do care for the patients. They treat them with great dignity and respect. The staff are always friendly and helpful whenever you visit and the manager is first-class and takes great pride in the nursing home and the patients in her care.
