Hyne Town House

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My father spent five months here suffering from debilitating dementia. He was extremely well cared for by dedicated very hard-working staff. My father's illness made him physically immobile and sometimes difficult, but the care given was always patient, attentive and personable. The accommodation was
clean, well looked after and easily accessible. I am told the food provided was tasty, nutritious and freshly cooked. If on occasion it was not always easy to get hold of someone when visiting, that was only due to the staff being fully occupied. But that is an issue we have in society in general (not enough people able/willing to work for the remuneration we provide) and should in no way reflect negatively on Hyne House. Based on my and the rest of my family's experience, I can only say that I fully recommend Hyne House as somewhere to provide professional care.

With deep regret, I had to put my mum in respite. Waterloo House was recommended to my family. On arrival, the staff were lovely, the home was spotlessly clean and no smell, which I dreaded. The staff are lovely, they made Mum and us feel welcome. I have visited regularly. My mum's happy with the care
she is getting and loves it there. I will recommend it to my friends.

My Mother was in Hyne Town House for three years until she passed away.
The home provided a loving friendly environment to both my Mum and her family.
Laughter and happiness fills this home daily, the staff go above and beyond to ensure every patient is included in the daily activities.
The home
provides excellent standards of care involving the patient and family continuously as changes happen in health etc.
Fresh home cooking is top quality with plenty for everyone.
Rooms are kept immaculate, nothing is too much to ask.
Life-long friends are made.

Waterloo House

My wife was referred to the assessment unit, due to her increasingly aggressive behaviour. She was there for four weeks, when we were told to find suitable residential care for her.
We selected Waterloo House. The manager of Waterloo House visited my wife and after getting the opinion of the staff
agreed to take her.
After the first few days my wife resumed her aggressive behaviour towards staff and residents and as a result, she was transferred to a nursing home who specialise in dementia cases.
Waterloo House did their best for my wife and we have no complaints regarding her care whilst there, which was excellent.

My mother has the best care possible at Hyne House. The staff are more like family than carers.
She's provided with excellent personal care and is kept very clean and tidy. The food is nourishing and very tasty.
We visit twice a week and are always offered tea, coffee and biscuits and sometimes cake.
We
could never have wished for a better home and care.

The home is generally very satisfactory. The staff are friendly. Varied activities are arranged, including the provision of a mini-bus for trips out. My room is cosy and comfortable. It is cleaned daily and even the windows and curtains are cleaned. Older furniture is routinely replaced. Services like
hairdressing and chiropody are provided in-house, and there are regular doctor visits. Laundry is processed quickly and I feel safe in the care of the staff.

What a wonderful place this is. It is so hard to make the decision to put a relative in a care home but we haven't regretted this decision for a second of the last 8 months dad has been there. From the day we visited and saw the curtains- which mum could have chosen herself, we loved it. I live 5000
miles away and don't get to visit often but when I do the staff are wonderful... on arrival they break out the best china and served tea or coffee... just how mum would have done again. My dad is so happy here, he feels safe and cared for and he's anxious to get back "home" after a trip out. Nothing is too much trouble, requests are quickly met. The staff are kind and warm and patient. The manager is efficient and responsive. Not to mention how downright beautiful it all is... I honestly can't think of a better place he could be.

I know someone who had stayed here for respite, she was very happy in fact cried when she left. So knowing her I thought it must be alright. The staff have been brilliant towards me so cheerful and obliging, everyone of them.
